These really are great little organs with an endless combination of sounds and heaps of volume! If you are interested in buying a good one for less than $100, and know how to change tubes and follow service instructions (service manual supplied), send me a private message. The S6 in question is located in York County, Pennsylvania. Seller will help with loading onto your transport. S6 weighs 140lbs.
@ORUPRANKSTAZ Don't feel bad because organs these days come up every single day for incredible deals. In Columbus Ohio, collected 13 great organs all under $150 or free! The L100 is awesome and I grew up with an L100, but the M100 is also great. I prefer the L100 because of the non-scanner type, solid state vibrato. I like an alternate Hammond tone wheel sound more than the rock tone. If you like the rock tone and the Jimmy Smith jazz then the M100 is superior to M3. For mint Elegante paid $150!
Thanks PaulJ for the bass modification. I had an S6 that I bought used in the late 60's and it had thundering bass! A long distance move in 1980 forced me to give it away (to a friend) and I have been kicking myself ever since. Finally found one in very good cosmetic condition but needed 5 12AU7's one 6C4, two 12BH7's a 5U4 and a 12AX7. Got it playing sweet, took some tapping on several coils, but the only complaint is the weak bass. Solved that with your modification! Thanks!
Thanks for the info on the pedal boost. Mine was always weak in the pedal department. The woodwinds? No other pre digital sampled instrument could compare to the woodwind sound of the S6. Thanks to the 12AU7 and the LC circuit. (Earlier models used 6SN7 octal base tubes instead of the 12AU7 miniatures.

@vagnmoore These are my accumulated notes, modifications, and links for the Hammond S6.
It's a great organ not a toy. It has so many musically usable sounds. It can take several months to fully explore it's sonic potential. Mine has factory necklace reverb & amp.
Good luck and if you want two good registrations try these:( U=top pushed (OFF), D=bottom pushed (ON)
Then you can just run your organ through your computer and use a reverb program, or use an external digital reverb box. Also, your S6 is perfect to plug another keyboard into. Locate the RCA inlet on the back of the organ. I used to plug the line out of my portable keyboard into that input and play both organs at once. The mix is really nice and those two 6V6 tubes have plenty of power. Same tubes used on the famous Fender Princeton guitar amplifiers.

Be sure to post your organ to Youtube, and I highly recommend adding reverb to the S6. The way all older Hammonds get the signal for the reverb amplifier is directly from the speaker terminals from the organ's main amp. You can get an adapter at most car audio stores which can convert your speaker signal to a line out signal.
You are adding an extra stage of tube gain to the pedal accompaniment ( Which is activated at the buttons of course) so get ready to rock! If you desire... you really can play all sorts of music with the S6. Here is also a clip from Lawrence Welk featuring the S6:

Here is how I added the volume boost. First locate the 1 meg resistor R267 When you are looking at the schematic locate the PIN 7 on Valve 20 this will be your NEW INPUT.. Be sure to run a shielded wire to this tube's pin ( use another point to solder to if it is closer and on the same circuit 'buss'.
BREAK CONNECTION OF R267 TO PIN-2 ON VALVE 20 (12au7). and next run the broken connection of R267 TO PIN-7 ON Valve 20
It will allow you to play the accompaniment chord buttons and have this amazing eternally sustaining smooth overdrive. I put a potentiometer on series with mine to control the gain. The S6 is an organ that takes months to explore all of the tonal possibilities. The Strings sound like an electric guitar at times. I LOVE the woodwind tones. It really does bark like a Bass clarinet! Tone wheel organs are the flutes, but the S6 is without a doubt the best woodwind sounding organ of all time! cont.
You can download the entire service manual for your S6 ( I have a black 1955 S6 w/ the necklace reverb and the 2- 6bq5 (equiv. to eL84's)amp for it mounted on the left inside panal & the 3 necklace springs are on the right.
I will give the link for the manual below, but first I want to tell you how to BOOST THE BASS ( be sure to add a single pole double throw switch so you can bypass to original back to the original signal. This boost is quite incredible. cont.

I saw one of those at a San Bernardino pawn a couple years ago and was curious as to how it sounded. Thanks for demonstrating.

This organ is still used today to play dance tunes in Venezuela. But organists do not use the keyboard chords and always need a group of rhythms.
