UNITY is all about race hustling,. Why should news groups be forced to hire people based on their skin color? They want not only to foist their incompetent ideologues on the media based on race, but to censor the news so their inferior people don't end up looking like the stupid lowlifes they are.

It was supposed to be a convention twice a decade, so the UNITY groups could concentrate on their own annual conventions. However, the 5 organizations decided in 2004 to make it every four years to coincide with the presidential election.

It was every 5 years (94, 99, 04). it will now be every 4 yrs.

I was at the first, second and third UNITY and I won't be missing this one in Chicago. The first UNITY was in Seattle, The 2nd was in Atlanta and the third was in Washington, D.C. Remember UNITY Journalist COnferences only come around every 5 years in between the NAHJ, AAJA, NAHJ and NABJ Conferences. What is so awesome is that all ethnic journalist organizations come together along with our lesbian and gay journalist friends and we have a great time! A long-time journalist from Sacramento, CA
