  • baklava with cinnamon ouch ! it must be very sharp taste .

Usually pistachio or finely chopped walnut is the mainly used but I admire your effort to make baklava it is time consuming process

  • Wow you are a beautiful woman ! And love your voice too !

  • I think with pistaccio its better ...yummmy!!!!! where can I get this phyllo dough from???anyone know ?if you have a better recipe or the same can you send it please!!!thanks!

  • super market hehe! use fresh it is better.

  • adoreiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii

  • Baklava is Turkish and not Greek, also like sarma and dolma these are turkish food.

For the lady, in Turkey we love it with Pistache. You should try it. And dont make that amount of layers. One or two layers are way enough.

  • @3091621 actually, nobody really knows WHO made baklava first. many Mediterranean countries claim it as theirs...

  • @rafat2005 ahahahhahahhahha you are right man she is like a prostitute whore like shes mother withaout respect and honor

  • Well my parents are from southern tunisia and they said their ancestors are called the berber which originally are turkish and i'm pretty sure are the founders of baklava so if you're greek or persian stop saying you started baklava

  • I can make baklava from scratch starting with the phyllo sheets made of eggs, flour, water and oil. Then after stretching the dough I cut the sheets and let them dry. From there I lay down one sheet, brush the sheet with butter and then the nuts. After this procedure, I cut the sheets crosswise and stick it in the oven.

I bake it over low temperature, prepare the syrup of water and sugar with a bit of vanillla, pour on the baked baklava and let it cool down, fridge it goes.

  • haha HAZEL NUT AND MACODAMIANS? my god hehe

  • She sucks... leave the baklava cooking to the middle easter. YOU ARE DOING IT ALL WRONG!!!

  • I thought you're supposed to use pistaccio

  • Pastichios are the best in this recipe. You are not GREEK !!!!!!!! make your own food you suck at Greek recipe

  • Why not use peanuts or some other nut but STOP calling it a Baklava. Why do you Americans have to "murder" every century old recipe?? You don't make it "yours", you make a mess of it.......It's an insult to the ones who respect the tradition. I'm Belgian, so don't go saying I'm being partial.

  • If you are going to make a cultural dish, you should work on your pronunciation, and do more homework on how to make it authentically and properly! I understand that you caucasian americans are always trying to put a new spin on something old, or leaving something out; this doesn't need that! you cut corners with your ingredients, no nutmeg? clove?, honey you might as well calll this cinnamon toast crunch. I mean this in the best way so that you may improve in your endeavors as a chef.

  • wow! some are too classy for youtube! maybe u should suggest to make a special VIP comment post. i trid the turkish baklawa, it's too sweet . i choose for the lebanese, taste better

  • I guess low-class can come from ANYONE....LOW CLASS COMMENTS MADE BY LUSTVACIOUS. If you don't agree don't be so disgustingly nasty.

  • turks ARE NOT the original makers of baklava u wish! it is the labanese people who make it and they do a hell of a job! turks is too soft and soggy tastes bad. shut up u stupid bitch! and stop making fun of everyone! stupid turk cow

  • oh sigh. Lets get into which mediterranian culture is superior?

    GREEKS HAVE MASSIVE PENIS!

  • Look iam iranian and i know Baklava originated from iran, arab countries and turkiey (middle east). The name baklava has an arab turkish origin itself. There is NOTHING GREEK ABOUT IT (they just make it and like to claim it and many other things as their own)

    Check it out on wikapeadia:

Baklava is a rich, sweet pastry featured in many cuisines of the formerly, iran and Turkey countries

The word baklava entered English from Turkish; it is sometimes connected with the Arabic word for "bean"
