I think this game wears it's beardy platform influences very well with it's fable-esque palette and narrative-driven gameplay. Like the Lost Vikings starting you off with easy puzzles then gradually ratchetting up the difficulty level. I can see this doing very well in the casual market and weekend special promos.
Wow! This looks truly amazing! I can't believe how beautiful the graphics are and the gameplay is fun and engaging... Yup, this goes on the to-get list.
trine 1 was great! Get it if you want to play trine right now! Force shame on you for not playing platform games like most mario games :(((. *go play some mario games jeez.
This game is absolutely amazing! It's a must buy for me. Never heard of Trine before but everything about it is brilliant. The story, the art, the music, the gameplay, the voice acting, the physics....I have never been this impressed by a little game like this. Thank you Force. I have found my respite for the wait for D3. :)
I bought Trine on a Steam deal and it was well worth it. I'm definitely going to get Trine 2. The game has reply value until you get all those shiny globes in every level, then you feel you've really beat the game. Sometimes this means playing a level a few times til you find all the secret passages and hidden areas the shiny globes are in. Fun times for sure.
@gorkonyan I'd still play it, but it'd take a while to grow on me, even with the beauty of Trine (2). Bosses would look even more epic that's for sure.
I've never played side stroller games, and looking at this one in particular is astonishing. Spectacular made environments, fine-tuned game mechanics and the glimmer of the graphics are amazing. This makes even an RPG gamer turn their head towards something different (=. Thanks for the upload force!
@corruptwraith i don't understand how you can comment on this video when you can be playing skyrim!
There is more than just one amazing and fun game out there. If you played Trine you'd be excited about Trine 2. I may feel the same way about D3 as you do Skyrim, but just the other day my friend who doesn't like ARPGs said he wanted to get D3. Even though I'd give my right nut to play D3 right now, I told him he shouldn't. He never beat Torchlight or even played D2; it'd be a waste of his money.
@Kuvter I disagree, who says people can't change their opinions or just take up a different genre... Why should any real "gamer" play only one genre, IMO, a better gamer is well rounded.
@xxstrpku I can't tell which of my comments you're commenting on. The "i don't understand..." bit was sarcasm mocking someone for their blatantly close minded view on gaming. They basically said Skyrim > everything else, why waste your time reviewing other games.
I think we agree you just missed my sarcasm. Happy gaming sir!
@xxstrpku I think I figured out what your comment meant. It was about telling my friend he probably shouldn't get D3. My friend buys a ton of games, but doesn't have much spending cash being married and unemployed. He buys them on a whim and never really beats them. I'd love for him to like ARPGs like Diablo, then I'd have more friends to play them with. However for $60 he'd get D3, beat Normal, if that, and never play it anymore. That to me is a waste. That said I still agree with your comment.
@pessumpower Make sure to use vertical sync (V-SYNC) mode, or perhaps play in windowed mode. Less demanding games can overheat high-end graphics cards when they churn hundreds of fps. If you limit fps to your screen refresh rate (like 60 Hz) then it will not overheat.
For the most part, V-sync is not bueno for gaming.... however in some games, the screen tearing becomes so bad that you need to play with it to get rid of it.
@nmelol While I understand some people might not like it, it's guaranteed to help the overheating problem. Other solutions require some kind of FPS limiter which might not always be available in game.
@nmelol Obviously you have no idea of it's uses? It's a must if you have a really high end setup with crossfire/SLI or otherwise powerfull GPU, the screen tearing is a natural phenomenon caused by having the GPUs produce frames faster than the monitor can show them (usually 60fps = hz)
@jylounen I'm using high end GPU which can produce more than 200 fps many games. I'm using 120hz monitor and have no tearing problem. Even when I used my old 75hz samsung monitor I didn't use vsync becouse it creates input lag and it's the most horrible thing to have as gamer. And I probably know more about this stuff than 99% of people posting on youtube. No good player ever did use vsync and never will, peroid.
@nmelol Wow, you are really elitist... Naturally, screen tearing is not an issue with 120 or even 75 hertz monitors. I mean 75 is already 25% more than a "normal" 60hz monitor. Are you seriously suggesting that barely noticeable input delay is worse than screen tearing??? Besides, using triple buffering alongside vsync helps with the delay. Naturally, if your game runs fine then there is no reason whatsoever to enable vsync, and it would be stupid to do so.
@jylounen what about negative acceleration? is it also barely noticable? it screws up your aiming skills. But yeah, if you play some rpg games it probably doesn't matter. But in quick paced fps shooters vsync is pure evil.
@nmelol I've got a feeling you've never had bad screen tearing that can only be fixed with vsync or a monitor the person can't afford? Any side effects are still a better deal by far than not even spotting your opponent. Screen tearing can be really bad when the character/game scrolls sideways. Also I want to emphasize that there is no point in using it if you do not have any issues with it disabled, naturally.
@jylounen I had tearing problems with old 75hz TN monitor, I just think it is worth to have no any delay in your mouse, and perfect aiming skills over the smoother frames. We just have to differen approaches to one subject. End of story.
Played the first Trine, one of the most amazing platform games ever. Everything full of life and detail. Those orbs you collect are for leveling up your characters and unlocking new abilities. Hope this one has a lot more boss fights, since the first one had very few. Nice puzzles, getting harder and harder as the game progresses. I will try this one for sure.
Anyone seen the movie 'Amedeus'? It's a good one about Mozart. Just thought of that when they said the wizards name.
