  • Can this be right? How does it compare with skipping for example? I mean doesn't the spring do most of the work? Basically I wanna get back down to fightin weight right, so I can skip, do burpees run and interval train my ass off, or according to this I can bounce on a trampoline for an hour, is this right? Don't mess me around now, I'll give it a go if it is but could someone just reassure me they aren't making this up for fat arsed old women who won't do anything else so they tell em this??

  • @mattycbase

Yes, it's been tested to be more efficient than jogging. The spring absorbs the impact of your landing, but your body still has to do work as it resists the impact and maintains balance. If you're body wasn't doing work, you'd crumble to the ground when you landed on the mat. There are also health benefits of the the g-forces, and the up/down motion.

  • @mattycbase what he says is true, rebounding also helps your lyphatic system which helps every cell in your body to be clean from waste that each cell produces so basicly reboundign literally works every cell in your body. What you can do for what your goal is, is simply include rebounding in with your normal training routine. Maybe just replace it with jogging and skipping rope, (i actually mimic rope skipping on my rebounder by doing the hand motions) but continue doing your regular workouts.

  • when it says rebounding.. iwas thinking of basketballl... be more descriptive

  • @FootbalFutbolS0ccer His description was fine. Your lack of excercise knowledge is the issue.

  • @MickScarborough that's rude bro..chill out... i was saying be more descriptive for future referance just in case someone ele might mistake it for bball

  • @FootbalFutbolS0ccer Your request is still based on ignorance

  • @MickScarborough I expect quite a lot of people thought it was to do with basketball, no need to be so rude about it...

  • @XxZNBxX Your expectation is baseless since no one else made that comment.

  • @MickScarborough Thats probably because when people realised their mistake they simply clicked off it.

  • when you have a burn like heat kind of burn put musterd relly it works. pepole say toothpase works to nbut never tried toothpaste

  • Nasa never did tai chi.

  • Hey there,

I just got a mini-trampoline today and Im super stoked to use it. I would like to tone and lift my buttocks (hehe) what are some of the best exercises I can do for my problem areas. Also, Do you recommend a good workout tape for trampolines? Do you maybe have a full length video here on youtube that will get me into shape in two months?? :)

  • I recommend watching TV while you rebound. With a T.V. you don't become bored rebounding and the time flies fast. You can knock out 30 minutes easy on a rebounder if you have a T.V. set in front of you.

  • Maybe I wasn't commenting on the practicality of the exercise. Maybe I was commenting on the claim that rebounding is the most effective form of exercise known to man.

  • You burn more calories rock climbing....900+ per hour depending on your weigh.

  • If you can successfully rock-climb you probably are already in shape.

    DUH

  • There are varying levels of rock climbing difficulty just like there are varying levels of difficulty for every exercise.

    DUH

  • And im sure the easy levels don't burn 900 calories either

  • 5 times the force of gravity?! what about your knees???

  • Excellent explanation of the multiple benefits of even basic usage of a rebounder.

  • For the past month I have been Cellercising with a Suunto heart rate monitor on which measures heart rate, calories burned, and a variety of other things as well. I weigh 174 pounds and I burn between 700 and 800 calories per hour Cellercising. For example, yesterday I exercised for 61 minutes and burned 739 calories! My average heart rate is about 145 BPM while Cellercising.

  • Interesting! Can't wait to start rebounding. But I'd like to see the results comparing rebounding to an aerobics class, since the movements are more similar.

  • thank you for this video. it really explains a lot to me andswered my question in deatil. :)

  • HELPFUL AINT THE WORD... I had one in my house for over a year. I have gain 20 and I want to lose it asap. I just got some tabo dvds from a friend... but Im about to do some rebounding right now!!

    THANKS!!
