I would've loved having that game - it was admired by all the kids at Jr High..
The nerd in the glasses is the actor who played Almonzo Wilder (Half-Pint's husband) in Little House on the Prairie; later he had a few cameo's as Buffy the Vampire Slayer's (somewhat estranged) Dad.
My mom bought me one in 1980 when I was in the 8th grade, but that thing malfunctioned about three months into owning the darn device. I guess my friends and I played it too much. :(
This was state of the art for hand held video games back in the day and we as kids who grew up in tnat era, enjoyed every bit of it. Of course we didn't spend all day in the house playing it either. Most of our time was spent outside where most kids should be anyway.
WOW there was imagination back then. Little rectangles would never pass as football players today. Partly because of all the stupid little 12 year old Xbox 360 fanboys who are obsessed with "good graphics" more than classic gameplay.
I love the way they keep making those furtive glances to each other. So romantic!

It wasn't. Your heads would eventually bump together, which no matter how much you drank still hurt.
