  • I am 12 and I have a Gi joe land adventure with Kung fu grip. It is the best toy ever. I got it of eBay. The price was 50$.

  • I remember that when the fingers broke off he ended up looking like he'd been in an industrial accident.

  • hey how much did the original 12 inch joes retail for?

around 10.00? because that's how much the 3.75 inch figures go for nowdays

  • I had one of these for years as a kid with the foot locker

  • Its all about the grip..

  • What's next? Snake Eyes with Flexible Feet for climbing buildings?

  • @WebVMan *scoffs* no, silly! they already made THAT one!

  • Wow, that Joe looks a lot like Chuck Norris :-D

  • I remember when this commercial aired, I literally did back over flips on my bed!! I was so excited about this feature for my FAVORITE toy of my childhood. I even remember running over to my friends house to ask if he had seen the commercial.... we were SO charged up by it!!!!

  • Funny, but I was an AF brat in Japan from 68 to 72.There was a Japanese version of GI Joe with an anomie like face.Their version already had the so called Kung Fu grip before the American made version.I remember putting the Japanese made hands on the American made figures all the time.

  • "I've got a tough assignment for you...this calls for the Kung Fu Grip!"

  • Back when toys were manly... Truth be said, He-Man and Lion-O were pretty gay compared to these straighter-than-straight Joes...

  • Does anyone know where to find these in best condition? I've checked all of eBay and I have found nothing but hand rot and rubbed beards! Someone please help?

  • @memberzonly Try Craigslist. You are bound to find at least one Joe in good shape! If you don't, buy one that isn't in such good shape, and fix it up. There are companies that re-flock the Joe's head, and there are companies that sell vintage replacement parts.

  • GI Joe with Kung Fu Grip were probably the greatest action figures ever. How can you beat those giant action figures with real hair and beards. Only things that were close were the six million dollar man and Masketron. The only down side with GI Joes was their hair would fall off in patches not like naturally occurring male pattern baldness but like they were ill.

  • @lazarochavez1 do you collect gi's?

  • @tyrannicoystercult Personally, I don't think that qualifies as either one!

  • tell me those guys in the beginning look like chuck norris

  • thats my uncle

  • GI Jone, with real beard hair and kung fu grip. 70's toys rock !

  • man that reminds me of sublime's caress me down ^^

"i didn't know she had the GI joe kung fu grip"

  • 0:04 F bomb not included.

    Anyway, SEVERE AWESOMENESS!!!!!!

  • they wear karate uniform :)

  • Kids these days...

  • lol it was on transformers

  • G.I. Joe > Jonas Brothers

    Always.

  • G.I.JOE will own the Jonas Brothers on land, sea and air.

  • But not on space i tell you what

  • thanks 4 this,what fun i had back in the70s as a kid.

  • anyway, i love G.I joes. and this commerical is awesome! thanks for uploading it

  • Kung Fu Grip Rocks! And I'm not reffering to the Jonas Brothers. I remember this commercial very well. Cool Stuff!

The Jonas Brothers are only cool if you're wearing a training bra.

  • 5/5

how were the hands before this?

  • Heheheh barbie and gi joe XDD

  • gi joe!

  • haha dont worry i did 2 :(

  • my brothers' had these- I would take them and play w/ them; they were so much fun! HILARIOUS commercial- brings back good memories!

  • I want to buy one right now!!

  • I just noticed the Land adventurer figures in the commercial had AT dog tags which the Kung fu grip figures did not come with.

  • look closely the g.i. joes hands look suspicously like action man's gripping hands

  • Same design, same thing. Palitoy a sister company of Hasbro, released Joes in UK as Action Man.

  • @frodovader Palitoy devised both flocked hair and gripping hands first, and Hasbro implemented it on G.I.Joe later on. Most Action Man figure's hands stay gripping and intact longer than Joe's

  • Action man was the first with the real hair and gripping hands. Hasbro saw it sold well in europe so Gi.joe got his share too. It was just called kung-fu grip over there to cash in on a hype :)

  • screw Chuck Norris. GI Joe is the toughest of the tough!!

  • I had one. This was during the Kung Fu Golden years !

  • cool i want one for christmas.

  • I WILL SEND YOU ONE, IM SERIOUS.

  • I got one for christmas
