  • Victor disagrees with you on the part that no one can compete with him. He has said before, if you gave a new born baby a bass, that baby could get sounds out of a bass that he couldn't. He was trying to make the point that music is not a competition, and everyone needs to find their own sound.

  • Tal is a great player, especially since she has only been playing bass for about 3+ years. She started playing guitar first. The thing is that she is still young and still has more to explore. The bass players that deserve more recognition are the other bass players that have played with Joe Zawinul as well as Habib Faye. There are a lot of Senegal or West African bass players that are out there and still unknown. I hope Tal delves more into these other styles, she is still young.

  • I mean, she's good, but she's certainly not in the "Jaco reincarnated" category that everyone is talking about. She's a good player, but there are people all over L.A. in the clubs who are every bit as good. It's just that she's little and cute that has every one gaga.

  • Bass player is Tal Wilkenfeld From Australia believied to be 22 and only playing bass for 4 years. I heard maybe that she was a converted guitarist.

    Was probbaly the best set of the night musicianship wise but they were all so damn good!

  • Tal is the reincarnation of Jaco. I'm a wantabe Tibetan Buddhist so trust me on this, can't you hear it in her style? You're born with talent like this, you don't learn it, but I guess it takes a Buddhist to understand what I'm suggesting here.
