  • Maybe the rubber sealing ring is the problem. If you forget the Brikka on the stove top couple of times while it's still on the sealing will be too damaged and it won't work as it should...

  • so.. the presure valve is not really leaking. The pressure just gets to high because the coffee cant get out :)

  • hey I just got the same problem with my Brika. The solution was simple.

Take of the top part. Unscrew the valve. remove the filter + rubber. Insert a small metal pin into the hole the push down all the coffee thats attached into the hole. Do the same from the bottom.

Put the filter + rubber back. screw the valve back on.. and voila. good as new.

  • Dude, mine NEVER leaks but when my wife uses it, it ALWAYS leaks.

    1) make sure there are no grounds on the underside of the "basket" gasket.

    2) make sure there are no grounds on the edge of the basket OR the top part that screws on.

    3) you have to tighten that puppy down. DON'T use the handle. I use the pour spout and the METAL part of the handle to torque it down fairly tight. I get no leaks.

Good luck.....treat her right...she's worth it!!!!
