Roland/BOSS has uploaded a new firmware update for the BR-800. The update will allow you to copy FX inserts, and perform advance track editing within the BR-800. Get it at Roland.com
could you make a video showing how you do that? there's only one video out there and he doesnt show you how to hook it up. he just shows the control surface already on his laptop and how the faders move whats on the screen.
This is a little different due to the fact that not all computer, and drivers are the same. I don't use SONAR LE because my PC ( a single core AMD) locked up when I had more than three tracks running with plug-ins.
But, I have Reaper, which is less than a memory hog than SONAR, and when I installed the BR-800's software, and started Reaper. Reaper found the ASIO drivers for the BR-800, and was able to map the faders to the track DAW.

It’s just simply a USB connection using an easy to find USB A/B cable. This is covered on pg 163 of the manual.

CAN YOU SHOW US HOW TO USE THE BR 800 AS A CONTROL SURFACE? I CANT GET MINE TO SHOW UP ON MY COMPUTER.
