  • Gimme that tablet and I'll make some crazy stuff :D

JK THEY ARE SO GOOD !

  • SO DO KO YA MI YO airbrush.

  • Idk why, but just hearing the japanese is peaceful.

  • weaboo? -.-

  • One word: EPIC! :´)

  • Why must Japanese programs take 10 minutes to say what they can in 2 minutes? (Actually, it's worse when you watch for two hours and get 20 minutes worth.)

  • Scary...

  • I love how this guy's talking about eyes and moe and anime with such a serious voice. lol

  • I don't know how they draw so well being in that dim of light and on the computer that far away from the moniter.

  • whoa this kinda helps with my slump

  • whats a weeaboo?

  • @jewelsbudd Non Japanese people who are obsessed with Japan because of anime or the culture. They're bunch of losers that are annoying and believing that they're good at Japanese language which they're not by the way and only learn it by watching anime or so. They think that living Japan will be like heaven to them. And they make anime fans look really god awful and mocking the Japanese people.

NOTE: It's okay to learn Japanese, but don't learn it from anime.

  • so...what?!?!

  • ....oO wut?

  • subs in chinese, well is a beginning

  • I don't think I could ever get used to doing something on tablet. Isn't it hard to know where to place your pen or pencil?

  • @lunamoonwithstars It just takes practice. : ) You look at the screen most of the time. It's like knowing how to use a mouse kinda.

  • that's cool chair man!

  • Photoshop......7.0?!

  • @juudai12 old video from 2008

  • Its how lucky that I understand the subs:D

  • Here is what I can translate.... "BUY THE DAMN TABLETS BIOTCHES!"

  • lol

    chinese

  • LOl is that a massage chair??? Haha thats Ideal for a work space! <3~~~

  • i don't know the spoken language, but the subtiltes look mandrin or a language fimiliar in the province of china, at least thats what it looks like...

  • Its not that hard to figure out most of what they are doing, they were saying stuff about perspective, color, layers ect. I don't know the language they are speaking either but i do want to learn it.

  • @MeikoYuuka There is a free photoshop online. It's called GNU Image Manipulation Program or GIMP. It's 100% free open source graphic software. GIMP is powerful and with the hundreds of free plug-ins and addons available, it's just as good as the 300$ Photoshop software. Just download it and get on Youtube for tutorials. Good Luck!

  • Wish this was in english, would probably be really insightful.

  • HADOUKEN !!! no entendi ni pio >_<

  • I only heard bishojo.

  • Awesome!, I only wish that could understand the chinese subs, or the artist's japanese...but this is totally SUGOE!!!!!

  • @shiela723 It's "Sugoi" you idiot. If you're going to be a weeaboo then at least do it right.

  • @RisingXPhoenix well, sorry if Im not as perfect as you are!, sorry if I got it wrong on "1" letter!! I just honestly thought that it was awesome or SUGOI(you happy now??)

  • @RisingXPhoenix but being a weeaboo is about doing it wrong....

  • i have 1 word.... Awesome!!!

  • 26 people can't draw.

  • lol chinese subs ^^

  • no se entiende una chota lo q dice .. pero se sarpa, en groso el chino!!japones,lo q sea :/

  • i didn't understand a word and... sadly, i'm sure i can't afford that thing -_____-'

  • I think it just said " big-boob anime chicks" and I think thats just what he said, yep thats what he said :/

  • not impossible, learn sum Japanese fools

  • cant understand man

  • talking specifically bout the eyes and the necessity of the highlights and the placement.... -.- that was the only thing i understood

  • We need subs plz!!!

  • can someone tell me please some of the improtansta things that he said ? i dont know japanise (i nknow a few words like OTOSAN and OKASAN) but not so much :) that looks great

  • what are these drawing pads? Where can I get one?

  • @cc1XD

I got mine at best buy

  • @cc1XD they are wacom pads.. They are pretty expensive... bamboo small are round $100 - $300, intuous 4 which is quite useful are round $400-$900, cinteq (super pros aka movie makers, etc) 1500 and 2500... for new ppl at least a medium sized pad and either a bamboo or intuous, intuous has programmable buttons on the side.

  • i like this video but i can't understand the language ,,i like the anime!!

  • in english or spanish plz.i dont understand. if i did understand i wouldve liked this more.

  • im planning on studying this in the futue for my career and im tryin desperately to learn off this, but im not japanese so i cant understand it :S

  • I heard hitomi, (eyes), yami (dark?) , moe and bishojo all the time! Man I wish I knew more japanese than only those little phrases and countless words nobody needs...

*pets tablet* I love drawing ...

  • Even if you buy all the stuff he has you still need skills to draw that perfect -3- Man I wish I could draw as awsome as that !

  • Is it possible to get a tablet with a screen on it so I can see what I'm doing, anybody?

  • @notessimodude Yes, they are wacom centrino I think (Don't quote me on it). I have used them, very helpful. They cost around $1000 US bucks.

  • @TheFlashpointDesign HOLY SH---

  • @KarinToguchi Not sure if you are aware of this or not but there are several cheaper alternatives to Photoshop that you can try including Adobe's own Photoshop Elements. Look up for Paint.Net and The GIMP if you are primarily concerned about your budget. Both are free and capable. In reality, about 80-90% of the time the techniques shown in these videos can be applied to similar software as long as they have layers, blending modes, a few nice image filters such as blur and a decent smudge tool.

  • it says use 80% airbrush tool to paint the shadow of the eyes

  • ENGLISH SUBS.

  • @blazerx900 Agree, without english subs its impossible to understand :/

  • @Lianocas still intresting to watch though. luckily i have a friend who knows japanese, so , she can translate it for me lol ^_^

  • @PurpleDragonAngel She could translate it for all and put it here on youtube... it would be fantastic :) Can't she do it? Please? :)

  • @Lianocas I dunno, ill ask her

  • @PurpleDragonAngel I would appreciate it . Thank you.

  • i want subs XD

  • @Heemsky learn hiragana, then katakana, then kanji. Make sure to practice lots and if you write in romanji try switching over to hiragana and just practice a lot, hira only took me 2 days to learn and kata is the same so kanji is hard since I did not learn in Japan or grow up.

  • DARN YOU FOR BEING SO DARN GOOD AT DRAWING! >.>

I wish I could draw like this, but stuff like photoshop is expensive and more than I can afford DX Plus my parents are all stiff about me downloading stuff on the internet, cause' they think it'll give me viruses =n=

  • lol. 透明感。

  • after watching so much animem, reading so much manga and translating things from google and all....i can understand what some of the words are...but still can't read the words or w.e...only sum...but still i don't know how i understand it o.o

  • When it's on japanese why not fucking announce that it's japanese... This won't help anyone..

  • In Japanese, Or Chineese... nvm, still don't understand

  • LOL BISHOUJO GAME. MOE MOE MOE LOL!

  • lol @ middle aged Japanese perverts.

  • ok seriously, is there a version of this with ENGLISH subtitles please!!!!

i would seriously love to know what he is saying!!! lol

  • @Hellblaze123 subtiteles r for noobs

in addition, the person who uploaded that would get in trouble for re uploading copyrighted content

  • @aria0121 no, subtitles are for people who cant read or speak the language. and they wouldnt have to re-upload, just add annotations. i mean this looks amazingly helpful, but im not learning a completely different language for it.

all the good training videos are in another language, which is unfair. ive seen the good english videos, but these vids are better.

  • HAHAHA

8 Years of chinese school pays off,I can read the subtitles!

  • @cinders1998 LOOLL LMAO !!! ITS JAPANESE SUCKA !! XD ur still funny...

  • @iluvtowatchppldraw

sorry, it's chinese, japaneses is dervied from chinese with only 81 original kanji, I believe, so it actually is chinese. :D That's why I could read it, japanese has more singular dashes.

  • @cinders1998 oohhhh ... :o thkx for the information ! :D

  • ni gigabaitouh

  • they started talking about eyes and i think i heard them say 'ecchi' O__o"

  • @missXsukisho UR SO RITH !!!

  • translation much

  • moe moe bishojo

  • gawd!!! I want one of those!!!!!!

  • Super video! I never saw more detail manga-tutors from japanese masters.

    Thank you, Sekiguchi-san =)

Ha-ha, I have Mitsubishi Diamond Pro 19" monitor too ^^ But other model. It`s so very cool stuff! So bright, so realistic colors, minimal geometric mis. Very good for graphic works. I use it in all my last works.

  • Well now's the part in my life that i start to regret buying that bamboo fun pen

  • unn quisiera vivir del dibujo...

pero en mi pais no es asi...

    tengo q ir a japonnnn

  • I need that chair....XD

  • is there any difference between photoshop and ms paint?

  • @ryoubakura2001 ...Yes. The difference is huge! The Layers feature alone sets PS miles ahead of the primitive MS Paint! Try Photoshop out, if you can!

But if you can't afford Adobe Photoshop, I suggest one of two free image manipulation programs: Paint.NET and GIMP 2.6. And for a free Corel Painter alternative, try Artweaver and MyPaint. The best program I recommend is Pixia, which was made by a Japanese programmer. These free options are rather close to PS, and work pretty well. ;)

  • SAI is better! >:D

  • ahhhhh i dont understand this language!!!! im so confused!!!

  • Dah! Why do the Japanese insist on putting us to shame?! MOST professional Japanese artists use rather minimalist computer rigs, ancient graphics tablets, and Photoshop 7 JS to get the job done that I'm struggling to get done with my fancy Wacom Intuos4 tablet, latest notebook processor, and Photoshop CS4! Damn it!

  • I DUN SPEAKS THIS LANGUAGE D:

  • good thing i like making fails XD that was a lie and i love anime i want to be a japanese cartoon artist and yes it a long name for a job but never forget:myrtlebeachhelpwanted coM LONG NAME amazing results XD!

  • lucky i kno how to read chinese ^^

  • @SapphireSparksz pm me what the guy with the freaky voice said

  • @anmiegodess its kinda like they're talkin bout the eyes the 2 different ppl drew, one is realistic, and one is the anime eyes. it said sumthin about the eyes' shine reflecting the person personality or sumthin....(failed explanation...im kinda forgetting chinese)

  • waaaah...! no idea of waht he's saying .___.

does anybody know where can i find a drawing bar, please?

    thanks..! -^.^-

  • ach my Japanese is crap!

  • 4:28 I want a computer station like that... Except with a flat screen monitor, instead of a big fat cathode monitor.

  • i got a bamboo fun tablet p&t, and photoshop cs5.

  • Damn!!! I always dreamed of having my anime pictures turning out like that

  • There needs to be subtitles.... T_T

  • @CPCandyheart9 actually theres chinese subtitles in this vid

  • @SapphireSparksz No, those are Japanese subtitles. There are some Chinese characters used in the Japanese language called kanji. They have three alphabets: kanji, hiragana, and katakana, along with Indo Arabic numerals and the occasional use of the Latin alphabet (Rōmaji).

  • @SuperGamer87 w/e u say o_o i cant belive that guy actaully put everyhting is kanji =D o well thanks for correcting

  • @SuperGamer87 o i cant believe the person who put up the vid translate everything in kanji o_o anyway thx for correcting =]

  • @SuperGamer87 um actually, those are Chinese subtitles. There's no appearance of furigana at all; I wonder why you mistook them as Japanese when you know about Chinese characters.

  • @midoridream Oops. Thought they were Katakana. Never claimed to be an expert. Besides, I only speak a little Japanese--I don't write Japanese yet (I just hot a graphics tablet to practice, though!). ^^ Besides, I just thought that since Eddie's last name is "Sekiguchi" is Japanese, and those two guys in the video are Japanese (at least, I can swear they look more Japanese than Chinese), that MAYBE the subtitles were Japanese. Go figure. :P Anyway, thanks.

  • @SuperGamer87 I see...you're welcome(: I believe the people in there are Japanese, and this is a Japanese show/documentary. Maybe this was taken from someone who subs in Chinese. :/ Or something. LOL

  • I have a tablet but it's like half the size of his XD It's sooooo tiny!

  • wacom bamboo tablet (H)

  • I tried using Photoshop but I had a hard time with it cause of all the unnecessary features; it was too much for my tiny American brain to handle, lol. So I use Paint Tool Sai for my CG work. It has a lot of useful features for tablet users (like myself) like letting you rotate the canvas. Its just more simple.

  • @cartersarasin

the unneccasary ones may become useful to those who need all they can get

  • All I hear is moe moe moe soshite bishojo moe....

  • @malakaki111 i heard soujou gamea charecta xD

  • u can get graphic tablets reeli cheap now.. i recomend the wacom bamboo tablet 6,4 inches. ive had my for a year and a half.. and it worth the small amount u pay

  • the narrator explains that when coloring you must have an inked character and then scanned as basic procedure

then masking those black inks to separate in white BG

then make it as the first layer

make separate layers for every kind of color to apply to avoid over crossing the other colors for precised editing

this video he illustrates is an example of BASIC procedure so that many newbies understand

  • What kind of material do you use? and how much cost it'?

  • @lowlandhorsegirls

he using 24x32 Intuos pen tablet
