Oh god I loved this series as a kid, absolutely LOVED. It also helped me grow as an artist as I tried hard to draw like the anime. In the end I mastered Toriyama's style and moved on.

The US only showed 13 eps. I searched in Chinatown and watched up to eps. 42. Then the anime pulled a trick on me and gave the *false ending.* I thought that was the end and never looked for more, instead drawing my own fan comics on what the later quests would be like. A decade later I learned I missed more...
