  • love this song you poor take courage you rich take care

  • Song always makes me feel 'FUCK YEA!"

  • Wooo live near st georges hill (:

  • Ok who divided by 0?

  • @OhNonottheNWO discrediting Mr Bragg does nothing to take away from relevance of the song or the basic truths exposed there in. Here's a thought, how come every time a group of people seek to abandon capitalism they are squashed by capitalist forces. Why do the leaders of "free" enterprise care if others want to live cooperatively? Capitalism does require most folks to do the work, just not the ones benefiting most from the actual work, investing is not work.

  • Oh the irony, getting subjected to a Garnier advert when I just want to hear this song. No, actually I couldn't give less of a toss whether anti-wrinkle creams work!

  • Funnily enough The Barracudas did an excellent version of this.I wonder what Gerrard Winstanley(Diggers leader)would say now if he could see the rich plundering the poor just as they did back then,& most of the working classes sat on thier arses watching X Factor & slagging off the protestors at St Pauls?

  • @thistorontoguy check out mischief brew occupy philly

  • If this isn't the theme song of the "Occupy" Movement, then I don't know what is...

  • @thistorontoguy How about "Holiday in Cambodia" by the Dead Kennedy's?

  • @thistorontoguy Let's actually make that happen, this is certainly a song befitting the occupy movement. (infact Mr Bragg did sing it at the bank of ideas in london)

    Viva la people

  • @clovenrick ireland is up the proverbial as the settled for the euro, ie sold out to capitalism. the european union only feeds the fat cat corpratists as it removes trade boundries and union rights. the single currency was to further remove any wing clipping the corporate world had. in the eu carteling and monopolising is rife as there is no monetary control meaning in an economic crisis any hole in the economy will take out other states. btw im saying this as a scot who hates the english govt,

  • @clovenrick You clearly haven't ever been to Ireland, because you haven't a fucking clue what you're talking about! Besides the utter rubbish that you're talking about a place you know nothing about, you're ancestry may be part Irish, but you're about as far removed from the average Irish person as can be!

  • @clovenrick Don't worry, I've already had a vasectomy.

  • I've celebrated the victory of the italian left in the last sunday elections posting on my facebook page The World Turned Upsided Down. To defeat Berlusconi's party in Milan implies to turn the world upside down!

  • fuck all the ISM's. King over thy self

  • At last...

  • socialism my arse. bunch of middle class whores

  • Great song. It was written by Leon Rosselson, whose songs are well worth checking out.

  • SOCIALISM is the only way this planet is going to survive humanity. Otherwise it will destroy us - there is a finite amount for us to consume and if capitalism keeps driving consumption on, the end is nigh a lot fucking sooner than it should be

  • @problembehaviour false, anarchism is another way, but i wouldn't spit at a free socialist state, it's definetley better than what we've got

  • @BrianDBishop

The state of nature is brutish and cruel. People are not nice enough for an anarchic paradise.

  • @tommy5x ehh, if we mke an efort to teach people tht thy ar people, and should act like grown-ups, don't harm others, be kind, and hlp others whenevr they'r in ned, we'd be alright. We'd also hve to create a wy of life tht promoted those things, instead of promoting th dick sucking of th rch for "crumbs" of their monetary "feast" life would be less brutish and cruel. Idk about u, but i've never had an honest thought to inflict brutish or cruel behavior on any1, and i'm a human like everyone else

  • @tommy5x i apologize for the typos, they were intentional so that the message could fit, i'd also like to add that it would be stupid for socialists and anarchists to feud, taking in consideration the capitalist monster that's plauging our world today and i hope you nothing but decency and respect that you've even thought about anarchism, albeit not similar to my opinion

  • @BrianDBishop it worked is spain before that pig franco got let into power, but i also agree that socialism and anarchy are dissimilar

  • @sgbigsby1989 Anarchism was originally called "stateless Socialism" by early anarchists like Bakunin. He later founded the "International Alliance for Socialist Democracy" that was a clandestine international anarchist association that popularized its ideas in Spain, introducing anarchist politics to Spain that would later grow into the anarchist FAI that fought against Franco's army.

  • @eightbitriot well i just feel that modern anarchy has no real direction, i agree with your point left wing libertanist anarchy works well however revolution only works if the two sides suport the same, modern anarchy sits on the thin green line as there are both left and right wing doctorines within it.

  • @sgbigsby1989 Anarchy by definition has no direction! The problem with "isms" is they are all beliefs and all must believe in them for them to work. Even "socialism" is doomed to fail because it presupposes common belief in the survival of the entire society, not just the fittest or the fattest. The will to dominion has existed since the first human realized our brains and hearts give us an edge over brute animals. It's been subjugate/annihilate ever since.

  • @problembehaviour Just as long as humanity doesn't survive. That's what really matters to some of us. We can't inflict our species on the universe.

  • @problembehaviour socialist paedos Liam Temple Stuart Brown Sam Chaudry Nicholas Green Keith Potts Alan Prescott Terry Power Joseph Shaw George Harding Lee Benson Raymond Coates Les Sheppard Martyn Locklin Nelson Bland Greg Vincent Alec Dyer Atkins Keith Rogers Peter Tuffley Paul Diggert Mark Trotter Yusef Azad Gilbert Benn David Spooner Mark Tann Iestyn Tudor Davies John Friary Steve Carnell Torren Smith Johnathan Phillips Phillip Lyon Mark Burton Neil Redrup Timothy Edmeades Adrian Cirket

  • @problembehaviour Socialism isn't the only way we'll survive humanity. Human decency doesn't fall dependent on a political system.

  • @colbeseder1 yea but capitalism destroys ppl's compassion and humanity. under capitalism, it's all about personal greed n profit. money rules and matters all. like living in america.....come n enjoy the american way of thinking n living. every selfish, heartless dog 4 himself. nice...........

  • @useacondompeople kal vachomer. do you know what that means? a fortiori. to my point anyways.

  • @colbeseder1 It actually does. different political systems forms the citizens way to think and act in different ways.

  • @problembehaviour anachism is the only way we will move forward. anarcho comunism.

  • if the cops knew they were part of the herd what would they do??????

  • Am I suffering from de ja vu. excuse my french...

  • greatest.....song.....ever......

  • One of my favourite Billy Bragg songs. I absolutely love the guitar!

  • lovely

  • brilliant
