The deal is that rich(er) people, people with rich(er) parents, can buy abortions to their kids, while others will have their lives ruined.
I would be open for debate on this if America had sex ed and they passed out condoms to all teens.

That is depending on philosophy/religion. On a secular level having child when you are under eduction my "ruin" your life. That is, alter it. I am sorry for using the word ruin, that was wrong of me. I am not an english speaker.

I should add that I realize, too, that if a woman was raped, or there are massive birth defects expected, that having that baby might well "ruin" her life, so of course there ARE situations where the word "ruin" is correct.

Yes, I "learn" much from using/abusing sentences and words on text based forums, as an addendum to my english skills from my education. Because of my attempts to master english, I have spell-check functions turned of, as well as grammar-check functions.
I have seen the word "ruin" used in many comments, but I assume it is an over-use of the original meaning of the word.

If you need private insurance for ABORTIONS you are a SICK FUCK. How many abortions do you plan on having? Come on. I don't give a fuck if that amendment is in the bill or not and I'm pro-choice. Pay for it yourself. You can't have everything you want and saving lives is more important than taking them.

I'm with you. Can ANYONE explain to me, a pro-choice progressive, why abortions should be covered by health insurance unless they are medically necessary? Isn't "medically necessary" the entire basis for what is covered by health insurance?
I never knew, before, that abortions "just because I don't want a baby" WERE covered by health insurance. I'm not in favor of that, actually.

It is fully integrated in our system (Norway). Abortion is given to everyone as long as it is within reason. For instance, if you get three abortions in three years we have an issue. The reason it is free is simple; it is forbidden by law that rich people can get medical aid that normal people cannot afford. The line is drawn on pure cosmetic surgery.

Regarding the VA system: What is needed is more funding and better doctors. We often have to wait for over a month to get in for the simplest things. Odd lumps, or mental issues, or what not. I sure as hell don't want a voucher. I just want better care, in a more timely fashion!!
