This was the shit!! I think the Isley Bros. "Between The Sheets", Marvin Gaye's "Sexual Healing", Patti LaBelle's "If Only You Knew" were being played around the same time as this. That was when the old school sound was what you still heard mostly on AM and FM. Miss those days when music was more about quality and LOVE than what's produced now.
This is why I love YouTube !!!...I've been searching for over a year for a recording of this track and update on Glen Edward, Thomas. Info was very hard to find ... Damn, how I love this track " Turn Around"...so much. I had this album. If you lived in DC during the early 80's and listened to WHUR's "Quiet Storm" ...you could not have missed this soulful jam Thank very you for posting this info.
Hey Nick, O'Bryan says he was connected with Glenn on myspace for a short time but he suddenly disappeared. During that brief reconnect Glenn resided in D.C. and was doing spoken word style poetry. Maybe start a search in that direction .O'Bryan also asked if there is any way you could email him a copy of this track?
@obryanation Tell OB that I sincerely appreciate that information and we will put our STF hounds out all over DC to find Mr. Thomas! also, Check your box in a few days.
This was a solid, rare overlooked album. Fans of O'Bryan know this artist with his lead song, "Shippin' Out" of which was played on Soul Train quite a nuber of times. He performed that song on Soul Train at the start of the 12th season.
I remember my aunt had this album, but I don't remember it getting any real play time around the house. This song is cool tho. I wonder if she still has this.
WOOOW , the funny thing is that I literally was just watching the Soul Train episode where they played his song Shipping Out and always tried to find out info on him but I never could find any. Thank you for doing this video Nick.

I never, ever forgot this song "Turn Around". Extremely underrated and Glenn Edward Thomas had a great voice.

@soulchildsacomin actually, Glenn's lead single was "Take Love" which was released in the summer of '82.

Just tweeted the link asking Whatever happened to him. Good luck finding him. Nice singer though. Hope he's somewhere singing and having a good time.
