I'm playing the viola part of this song for my intermediate concert orchestra. The notes themselves aren't very difficult; it's the bowing and the rhythm that make this piece hard. I'm sure this piece will sound very nice once my orchestra can work out a few kinks. ^ ^
I agree completely with you matterdot, it seems that their Cello player and Viola players are incapable of playing louder than piano, or at least it looks that way to me. (also i guess they may only have one or two of either but if that was the case they should hav the violens quiet down to balance it.)
On a better note Good sound quality, and your first violen players did incredibly well.
I used to live in Book Green and drank in the local pub. It was called The Queen's Arms I think, or maybe the King's Head. Anyway I know that the pub had a royal title and a body part connected with it. The Duke's Finger, whatever, I used to drink too much. I don't drink alcohol these days. There's alcohol in my mouth wash but then I don't drink that. Intensionally!
The only criticism I have for this orchestra is that they don't use dynamics enough. I heard first the first violins all the time, even when they didn't have the melody. Other than that though, good job.
I love the second movement of this piece.

I started laughing when the audience started applauding and the orchestra interrupted them with more music. That's happened to me before.
It's really too bad that audiences do not know proper etiquette in this type of thing anymore.
