  • What great videos you have! I use a similar method to make my jams. NO pectin added .. just fresh fruits, organic cane sugar extract and lemon juice. I use an overnight resting period between 2 cooking periods, though. It makes perfect jams every time. :) I had been wondering about using my dehydrated fruits to make jam so this video answers that question perfectly. lol

  • @CierdwynCA Thanks :) I have never heard of the method you use. How does that work ? I'm very interested. You have tweaked my interest. :)

  • @oaktreega Got the basic method from "Small Batch Preserving" by Ellie Topp & Margaret Howard about 10 yrs ago. To a generous 8 cups of fruit add 4 - 6 cups (depends on fruit) of organic cane sugar extract (love it!) & let sit over night .. cook to rolling boil next day for 10ish minutes (again depends on type of fruit). Remove, cover and let stand for 24 hours. Then cook to rolling boil 5-10 minutes .. jar and I do use hot water bath. Perfect jams EVERY time!! Can send in PM if you like. :)

  • @CierdwynCA I will look up "small batch preserving" and check it out. Sounds nice and easy Thanks :)

  • Great info. Been dehyrating some of these same fruits. Gonna try this!

  • @03DexterHauler This tastes so good and it came out really well.. Just let your fruit really rehydrate before you start. Do a video so we can see how it comes out, I love to see it :)

  • definetly gonna try the peach jam. very good stuff, thank you and keep'em coming!

  • @LowBuckPrepper The peach jam done this way is out of this world...you can't get anything like it in the store. If you make it, you must do a video on it...it would be fun to watch ;)

  • @LowBuckPrepper I absolutly will do a vid on it. Thanks for the idea and recipe. Credit will go to you for sure.

  • Neither did I, this was my first time using dehydrated fruit. It was easy. give it a try and make a video, and share :)

  • Great video, had no idea you could use dehydrated fruit to make jam. I think even I could do that and not goon it up. :-)
