  • this is the first time I watch your video. You are extremely gorgeous and I love the way you speak! :)

  • You say IPL like we're automatically gonna know what it means! What is it? :(

  • you're extremely gorgeous and informative! :D

you got yourself a new subscriber! keep up the good work!

  • What lipstick were you wearing in this video. I love the color.

  • I love the way you say vitamin:)

  • Id love to know what you think about milk spots around the eyes, the prevention and treatment, and what causes it. :)

  • Annoyingly I've had dark circles since I was little, a good nights sleep makes them darker for me.

  • @HowToDealWithBeingEm Omg that's exactly how I feel about it as well!

  • By the way, Lisa, I thought you said there would be a video on how to cover them?

  • @211Rainbow there was but it was waaaay too long. I have to remake it when there's time x

  • @lisaeldridgedotcom Okay, thanks for answering! I'll be looking out for that one. However I would not mind a really long video, have been struggling with it for ages, and I'm only 20... x

  • Does anyone know some effective eyecreams for dark circles? I know Lisa has gone into detail about ingredients here, but I'd love to know some good products overall

  • I had problems sleeping for about 8 months and now I have awful puffy bags under my eyes. A couple of weeks ago my big sister anounced that she was getting married and that the wedding was to be around August. My under eyes look so ugly and I don't know how to fix them. If I start getting LOT'S of sleep will I be able to fix them in time? Is there anything I can do to help reduce them or anything? I haven't seen my Sister in ages, she'll be ever so shocked when she sees what I look like! :(

  • hello .. lisa. i am asian and i have very dark brown circles in the inner corner and at the outer corner i have my blue arteries much visible.. i have seen ur under eyes circle video. you told many ingredients that would help to reduce the pigmentation. will plz name the products/brands that wud b helpful in this regard.. one more thing. there is known that these creams designed for under eye circles brings wrinkles soon. is it true? please also tell me which concealor would be right for me

  • you know lisa there are people follow your video beside USA !

  • I'm been doing the frozen green tea thing for a couple days now. Seems to improve swelling. Lisa, what about DARKNESS?

  • @hannahlovesthegbpack Good Lord! Stop trolling. If the video doesn't help you, move along.

  • When do you think is a good age for a girl to start using treatment creams for under eye and ageing? I'm fifteen and I just wanna avoid as much wrinkles and saggy eyes as i grow. xoxox

  • Lisa, thank you for making this video! it is really helpful. I have genetic dark under eye circles and I have always lived with them. You're the first person that undersands! thanks so much!!! :) xxx

  • You're really beautiful and your videos are so soothing and informative. I literally can sit for hours and watch them, and I love all the tips. Thank you, Lisa :)

  • @hannahlovesthegbpack Don't be a jackass.

  • @hannahlovesthegbpack That pronunciation guide you gave can actually be read as fitting both her pronunciation and yours, and in case you haven't noticed, Lisa is British. She is pronouncing the word "vitamin" properly. Some words are just pronounced differently overseas.

  • i love the jade color you're wearing on your nails. do you mind replying with the color? i'd love to get a bottle of it. thanks! happy holidays!

  • ahhhh! i love love love love ur channel!!!

  • I LOVE this video. I've had the purple-y, blue-ish, capillaries leaking undereye circles since I was thirteen or so (I'm now 19). I've heard some speculation that argan oil can be effective at correcting pigmentation under the eyes and in the skin. I'd love to hear your opinion on this, and thanks for suggesting the Boots No7 Eye Cream, with their prices-I would have never looked to Boots to solve my undereye worries. I'll be trying it soon! You're a gem!

  • Hello Lisa! Thank you for posting this video, I've always had dark purple under the inner cornea of my eyes. When I was 19 (I'm 23 now) I worked in a fancy department store and the older ladies used to take me aside and told me that if I wanted to keep working their I'd have to hide my bruised eyes! They thought I was getting into fights because someone of my age was not supposed to have such dark circles! So it's nice to see other comments on here from younger people with the same issue xx

  • @Poppyalexxx I have the same problem with my eyes! How rude of those ladies to tell you to "Hide your bruised eyes". I would have told them off.

  • Hello Lisa. I loved your videos, thanks for share with our your experience. Where concelear is recomended for you????

  • so glad you have done a video on this! i genetically/ hereditarily have dark circles under my eyes and though im 20 i look 40+ which makes me really upset. its true that its soo annoying when people make a comment about lack of sleep when its nothing to do with that!

  • You're so calm, cool, and collected. Your videos are easy to watch, and I always leave with something new I'm going to try. Yayy. :)

  • Luv ur videos :)))))

  • Please, Lisa! Find a way to upload the entire video that came in feature film length!! The one about using make-up to cover up under eye issues!! We'd LOVE to see all you have to tell us!

Thanks for this very useful video. ;)

    =**

  • Sinus problems are also a common cause of darkness around the eyes.

  • @WhoLetYouGo yes youre right they are ... i speak more about that in the other video on under eye puffiness x

  • @lisaeldridgedotcom I can't believe you commented on my comment! I'm such a fan : ) My sinuses cause darkness around my eyes (not all the time though) rather than puffiness, so I thought I 'd mention it. I watched other video, very informative. Thanks!!

  • My face is naturally very sunken inn around the eyes. This video really helped me understand what i need to do.

  • My dark circles are caused by my anemia...I have a severe case so it's not very kind to my skin I get really pale @ times & the dark circles are more pronounced. Concealer is my bff & I use this cream called Vita K, found in most drug stores...when used properly, it does wonders. :)

  • great video Lisa!! i was hoping you'd go into what colours would cover each under eye colour to confirm something i was told recently. Is it true to use yellow concealer/corrector for purple pigment, and to use purple corrector for brown pigment?? i'm more the brown pigment and have tried the purple with some success but the formula was a bit greasy so i just wanted confirmation from a pro before hunting down a new one :)

  • Really really helpful. I've had dark pigmentation round my eyes my entire life, even as a child. Its made more worse by the fact that I'm really pale and lots of eye creams seem to make my eyes water. Now I can look for the ingredients that will actually help, rather than that "late night tired eyes" crap which drives me nuts, as thats not the problem. I also find them really difficult to cover effectively, is this just me or everyone with dark pigmentation.

  • @minihg80 I totally know what your talking about. I'm pretty pale and I have always had pigmentation. Luckily, I only have it in a small area. I have trouble finding good concealer but I found a really good one at the drugstore the other week. Its called Maybelline instant age rewind concealer. You wouldn't expect it, but its rather good! You should try it.

  • Lisa! Your next video will be a bit of a milestone -- 100! *anticipatory applause* :)

  • This is the most informative video I have ever come across. This is why you're the best MUA, not only do you have the artistic talent, you are intelligent and understand the science behind our skin. Brilliant!

  • Thank you. I'm going to eat kiwi every day forward :)

  • I like that you mentioned that some people have dark circles because the shape of their face makes it look like they have, but you didn't actually give any tips on that? I usually just try to brighten up that area when I'm doing my makeup, but I don't know if there's anything else I can do..

  • Thanks Lisa. Very interesting information.

  • Wowee, well impressed, Lisa. You talk about real ingredients rather than the patented 'now with botoxicodswallop' stuff that are in a load of overpriced products and explain how each works or doesn't - some bang up to the minute stuff that people serious about skincare, some even making their own products, are all talking about. Mega mega impressed - most knowledgeable, well explained information that I've seen. Fab, fab stuff gal, thank you!

  • Lisa, I love you and think you're incredible, but Im a pharmacy student and I really don't think it's wise to be recommending hydroquinone for under-eye circles! It's just you have a huge audience, and its a very nasty drug. It has even been banned in some countries, for a number of reasons, including possible carcinogenic effects.

  • @emilymchale1 well she did say there are side effects and what it does.. :)

  • @emilymchale1 really IMPORTANT COMMENT!!!!

  • @emilymchale1 she might mention it but it's pretty clear she doesn't think it is a great option for most people.

  • your shirt is Gorgeous!!!!! May I please know where you bought it?

  • Lisa, you are so inspiring! And informative! I love how you give explanations for everything - from techniques in applying makeup to actually going around and asking dermatologists some questions in order to do this video. Such a genuine makeup artist. My fav!

  • Very informative - thanks! P.S. What nail polish are you wearing in this video?

  • Thanks Lisa. So interesting.

  • thank you very much for this video. Speaking about ingredients, what do you think about parabens used in the cosmetics industry? Thank you :)

  • hi lisa, what about when the skin on the upper eyelids is darker? like dark circles but not under the eye??

  • Hey quick question at what age should someone start using under eye creams? xx

  • hi lisa thank you soooo much i have a ques. how can i get rid of under eye circles daily what make up (something real strong) do you suggest? thank you in advance and have a great week!!

  • I am from Spain Genové Cosmetics have an anti dark circles cream called Fluidline K :)

  • Hi Lisa really enjoyed this video, very informative & interesting x

  • Thank you, Lisa! Everything you said is true. I'm Indian with really brown under eyes. Don't know if later fine lines/wrinkles is a consolation, though :)

  • Hey Lisa, very useful tutorial thank youu :) I was wondering where you learnt about this information... I'm doing my GCSEs at the moment but am looking to study a type of dermatology and maybe to do professional make up and cosmetics as you do (something along those lines anyway). Loving the videos and would love for you to reply to this and to hear your advice :) x Holly

  • This was really very wonderful. Thank you!

  • MED ADVICE: you can achieve more vitamin K just eating food enriched with fibre and don't attempt to use retinol (a form of vitamin A) because it may cause cancer!

  • Comment removed

  • huh, im asian & i have brown dark circles... YAY FOR NO FINE LINES TILL LATER! but seriously, thank you soooo much for this video! you're the first person i've seen who's really known what you're talking about! <3

  • i posted a question on you puffy eyes and bagginess video and I just saw this!! the 2nd one is defo me :( maybe il look in to fillers? partner wont be happy about that lol x

  • ohhhmyyyygggg I am totally freaked out by the explanation o.o

  • FINALLY someone who actually knows what they're talking about

  • I had it and my parents have it ;-(

  • Thank you thank you thank you. I have permanent bluey purple areas under my eyes and although I have found a good concealer for me it's good to know that there are creams out there that may help because I don't really like wearing make up all the time.

And also, thank you for using BB cream in one of you other videos. I want to get the one you used but until it's out I'm using the Garnier one and I like it a lot.

  • @Lilyannabell Hello there.

I hope I don't bother you too much but I wanted to ask you what concealer you found that works for you, since I do suffer from very bluey purple areas under my eye too and seem to be unable to find something that works...

Thanks for your time and best wishes to you!

  • @kindAhumaNbeinG I'm always happy to help if I can. I use Revlon Photo ready concealer (stick form). I apply straight from the stick to the areas that need and using my middle finger (I find it's the warmest) and dab (not rub) over to blend. I've tried using brushes but the warmth help blend so it's undetectable. I hope this helped.

  • I have very large eyes, and am pale skinned. I have had very dark circles since I was very young....I wonder if I have a combination of genetic, and my lower eye area is just too deep??

  • Could you please do a tutorial on how to conceal the different types of dark circles? thanks!

  • OMG Lisa! Thank you so much for this. I honestly wouldn't mind watching a feature film length video about how to use under eye concealer from you! HAHA

  • Do these items you recommened work on dark spots on other areas of the skin besides the undereye? I'm just looking to lighten some dark sun and age spots on the face.

    Thanks!

  • Thank you.. keep the good work.. teaching us.. I love your videos

  • Allergies also can give you dark circles, redness and puffiness. I've had a problem with them my whole life thanks to my allergies.

  • You're the first person that included science and the causes of under eye circles in a video... SO THANK YOU SO MUCH!

  • can you please also do HOW to cover them as well? haha it'll be really helpful for me.

  • can you make a video on the filler for under the eye area. i have a little of the sunken area under my eyes and i have tried it all and never heard of the fillers.

  • Do you naturallly blink a lot--more than normal--or is it the lights?

  • Im quite alright with my undereye circles, they're not that bad and no one is perfect. It does drive me mad when someone assumes it is life style choices that cause them. I often show them my primary school pictures with undereye circles.

  • Bravo! Bravo!

  • Lisa, both videos are very well made! Great job, thank you for sharing.

Also...your voice just hypnotizes me....I just love it!

  • after a long workingday, it is so relaxing to watch one of your video!

  • Great video, very informative. Thank you Lisa

  • Such an informative video. You always know what really helps us. Thank you!

  • Now thats what i call an informative video. Well done Lisa & thank u

  • Omg i noticed that with vitamin c, i use the vitamin c complex...i think its a toner and moustrizer in one. and i have noticed a huge difference in my under eye circles. i have the porclean version and am 17 years old. and start gettting them atleast noticing them getting bad about a year ago, and i use the burts bee's randicane eye cream... awesome stuff!!!! and also i put on neautrogenia sunscreen for sensative skin with spf 35 around my eye area as well.

  • can you please do ariana grande makeup??x

  • the first video about under eye circles which REALLY helped! Thanks

  • That was amazing information. Thank you for doing it, and please do more of these about other issues in detail. I always want to understand the ingredient labels on the products, so I don't feel completely blind when trying to find the right products. I don't like relying only on advertisement. Thank you again for this!

  • Love that nail color? Please share the brand and the color!

  • Wow. Great info. Thanks.

  • Good video. but the bone structure of your face is not the fysiology but the anatomy

  • Dear Lisa,....Part 2

I found this product is very interesting but great at the same time.

At first, when you apply the cream, it gives a slightly effect of light reflected pen and works really great under those light reflected pen/ normal concealer.

Over time, the dark eye circle lighten up. (I mean visible result)

I still have dark eyes circle, as I believe no product is magic wand. Plus I have high cheek bone and deep set eyes.

it's interesting (because of caffeine in it)

  • Superbly informative, thank you Lisa!

I think its great companies are jumping into researching eye treatments etc, but one thing thats lacking (which is SO simple) is basic eye creams with an SPF factor.. SPF in my opinion is the first (and best) step to anti-ageing, so its unfortunate that its often overlooked in eyecreams..

  • Dear Lisa,

First of all I love all your videos. You are so friendly and talented.

Secondly, I want to talk about a product that I used to treat under eyes dark circle. I am Asian that's why I may have those brown/ black dark circles that you were talking about. I recently found a lovely eye cream from Vichy which call Bi-white (And I believe that it's specialist for Asian). The interesting thing about this product is that it contains Caffeine and Vitamin B3. On to part 2....

  • PLEASE DO A VIDEO FOR THE AQUA DI GIOIA AD!!!

  • What do you think of NeoCutis Lumiere Bio-Restorative Eye Cream? Also, do you put eye cream on your eyelids or just under your eyes?

Thank you for making these eye videos. Please post the long one without making it shorter. Most people, myself included, want to hear as much information as they can from you :)

  • Fabulous, informative video Lisa :-)

  • i have dark circles since the age of 5 unfortunately, though noone alse had this problem in my family,i know it is genetic and it's the first case you are talking about in your vid.(purple shadow) The reason i am teeling you this is because i recently discovered a product that works miracles for me,i 've try sevaral products and the one that worked the best its the Apivita express beauty for Dark Circles and Eye-Puffiness Mask

    with ginkgo. try it girls!

    i hope i helped someone! :)

  • Hi Lisa, you mentioned the lady from your program "10 years younger", is it possible to see her picture/video of her dark pigmentation?

  • Hi Lisa

Could you please tell me what color lipstick brand you are wearing in this vid? Or if it's your natural lip color, what is it called and how can i get that lip color? :) Thank you!

  • Hello Lisa!

My name is Agathe, and I'm French, so sorry for my english...

I'm a make up artist, a new one ^^ And I really wanted to say: You're amazing, I discovered your channel a few months ago, and I really enjoy all your videos, because, I learn so many things, you're so interesting, and you've got so many experience and a wonderful career! I would love to move in London to work, in a few years, and if one day, I'll have a chance, to work with you, it will be an honour for me!Keep going! <3

  • You look like 25 yrs here :-)

  • Where do you get your information from? Do you speak to experts only or could you recommend any good reliable websites for up to date news on the more scientific side of beauty. Thanks :)

  • very informative, thanks :) xx

  • hello lisa, i have a question concerning my mom. she is afraid of getting those age spots however she is very keen on taking care of her skin. she is using mostly eucerin products and eubos. she is not very open to experimenting with new products, but i would still like to find something especially for those age spots no matter from which brand as like a prevention. so maybe you can recommend sth.? thanks for your lovely, professional videos! greetings from germany :)

  • Hello, I'm not Lisa, but i try to answer you. I had clent (man) who had the same problem. I used Camouflage Cream Palette#4 MUFE (and mix two colors with yellow pigment. I guess #16 and #20)

    I hope it'll help you.

  • Love how much thought, time and preparation goes into your videos, thank you! x

  • Lisa,we'd like to watch your feature-film length video about how to cover undereye issues. Please upload it. Sure it will be extremely benefitial.

  • Hello Dear

I wanted to thank you very much for answering my questions(and those from others)! Since I am very pale and cautious about my lifestyl,I think the cause of my dark circles might be a combination of bone structure (sharp,/slim nose, high cheekbones) and hereditary issues.

I am certainly going to try the No.7 cream as soon as I find it and give it some time to work until I might go to a dermatologist.

Thank you very much again and all the best wishes to you!

  • Great video :) I have a large pigmentation spot under my right eye, so now I use Dark Spot Corrector & Even Better Daycreme by Clinique (with SPF20) to prevent things from getting worse. Quite expensive, but I hope it really works :-)

Do you have experience with Clinique foundation (especially the Even Better foundation)?

  • Moisture White from The Body Shop has Liquorice extract, Vitamin C and also Shiso extract in it. Really good range for reducing pigmentation all over the face

  • Thanks Lisa! I found this video extremely helpful. If you have time, could you please recommend some specific products for diminishing dark spots on the face? Before asking you, I reviewed some of your older videos to see if you mentioned any specific products. You provided information on some of the ingredients to look out for like hydroquinone, AHA, and some of the natural ingredients you mentioned in this video too. Specific product(s) recommendation is very much appreciated. =) Thank you!

  • Wonderful information. Thank you so much for sharing. You are always so wonderful to take time out of your busy schedule to educate your viewers. Thank you.

  • With indian heritage I'd rather have dark eye circles and succumb to fine lines & wrinkles later in life than the other way around. God Bless my mother for my genes. Thanks for the vid, very helpful!

  • I love your videos, so informative! The Body Shop makes a Vitamin C Eye Reviver Duo that I really like! :-)

  • My under eye circles are almost black .. which category do they belong to?

  • Hi Lisa

Are cosmetic claims regulated in the same way that health claims are regulated on food labels? Do manufacturers have to substantiate their claims and prove that their products definitely achieve what they claim to (with the ingredient quantities used in the products rather than mega doses used in clinical trials)?

I've also noticed that lots the 'research' upon which cosmetic claims are based uses very small study numbers eg 10-20 subjects

    Thanks

  • As always, outstanding. I am a nurse and you taught me, Lisa! :)

  • Expecting your video every time I turn my YouTube on.! Love watch u

  • Thank you, Lisa! I a excited to see the techniques and products you'd recommend for camoflaging circles with makeup (feature length or not :)).

  • i am a medical student and it helped me a lot:D thanks a ot!!xoxo

  • You are soo beautiful seriously I don't get tired of telling you this on every videos .

  • you are so informative and explain things so well - very articulate. thank you for another educational video.

  • Lisa, what lipstick are you wearing in this video? If the other video is too long make part1 and part2 :)Tks!

  • I think I would love to have you as a friend. You are so knowledgable, funny and I would say driven., all things a good friend would have! Thank you for teaching us all your tips and tricks

  • What is IPL?

  • @shennai IPL is a laser treatment.

  • thank you!!!

  • i love the shirt you're wearing!

  • thank you thank you thank you for just a wonderful straight up intelligent talk!

  • I always learn SO MUCH from you! Thank you so much for your advice. :D

  • This video is so informative and useful. Thank you so much!

  • I'm not quite sure if the lighting is off but it looks like the eyeshadow on your right eye is darker?? Thanks for the video! This was really, really helpful. Looking forward to the one tmr. :)

  • can you PLEASE do a viedo on fading acne scarring??

  • @thelondongirl100 As far as I know the only things that really fade acne scarring are TIME and chemical peels or laser treatments. I'm referring to discolorations. I'm having a chemical peel done next week. Hope it helps! I had a test spot done behind my ear. It is fairly painful but really a quick procedure.

  • @thelondongirl100 please

  • as usual another super helpful video!!love your videos lisa!precise and to the point!

  • Lisa! I have a favor to ask please~ I find a lot of information about under eye circles, but what about discolouration on the eyelids? Because I don't get dark spots under the eye, but from my lashline to my eyebrow (concentrated on the underside of the browbone) is very red while the rest of my face is not. Is there a way to treat this? Or would some of these techniques work as well?

  • Amazing. Please

Do reply and tell me/us what you think of the eye creams by CLARINS as i want to start using them But would love to hear from u if they any good or not

  • wow, so scientific, I love it

  • mine never ever go away :(

  • Her voice is so soothing. At one point I was leaving my laptop on with her vids playing and falling asleep to them, lol. May sound weird but it worked for me!

  • @HALFpintJEN7 Haha that just happened to me when I was chilling at a lounge at my university! :D

  • @HALFpintJEN7 You should try looking up "whisper videos" or "soft spoken" on youtube if you don't know about it already. There are a whole bunch of youtubers who make relaxation videos that you may enjoy!

  • @HALFpintJEN7 So true, she just hypnotizes me with her voice.

    I love her!

  • Please upload the long video about how to cover under eye circles - I think we'd ALL watch it regardless of how long it is!

  • what are you wearing on your lips? very pretty

  • i love you i love you i love you..seriously. you're unique and amazing! thanks for your videos and your work! :) Hope you are well.

  • You are so smart and amazing.

  • genetically I am blessed! Yes !!

  • I used to think I had really bad dark circles under my eyes. I have learned by really examining my face, that it's actually hollows under my eyes which make the shadow you mentioned. I have plenty of extra fatty tissue that they could take from my bum and inject under my eyes if that would help!

  • Thank u so much for the information in this vid lisa!!! Much appreciated.

  • this video is something I'd been needing to hear for a while. My mom has raccoon eyes but not really puffy and my dad has puffy but not dark circles ("great" genetic combo). Right now my under eyes are pretty good, but I'm also quite young so hearing about these treatments are going to be really helpful for when I begin to notice changes in my under eye areas. Thanks you so much!

  • i like how you say "capillaries" haha. great video as always, thanks lisa! :)
