Haha, I used to spend days playing the first free battle (mandalia plains or something) over and over so i could level up my characters to level 90 and master every job/skill before i played the story. After all that work i could breeze through it in 6-7 hours
actually what u do is learn one of the skills fer geos, then get enough jp for another skill then youi find the square scroll for it and your learn it all
not really because your characters will have so little mp that its not like you can cast flare in the very next battle. You can however cast Ice/Fire/Bolt 2 at minimum. If your lucky you may get to use Ice/Fire/Bolt 3 though.
No gameshark was used and its explained in the main panel if you read it. The trick can be done as soon as your out of the first (technically second) battle of the game. You will need to check your chemists to see if they reached Job level 2 chemist so that the "Mage" classes are available.
no those are special classes reserved for thier own characters you can however give him the moves with a game shark. However since i don't have a gameshark this is the only trick i can do.

Actually its not if you don't learn the items then you can't use them with the item command. As far as messing up your game it doesn't harm it. Just makes you be able to cast Fire3 when your not even outside the first three story battles is all. Every class that can do this will automatcially be mastered with the exception of Summoner
your welcome I always loved the ability to master a black and white mage at the very beginning of the game. In actuality before the second story battle (not including the tutorial battle with gaffy) you can master chemist, black mage, and white mage. Heck with one or two characters you can do that right out of the gate.
I recently tried it and glad to say it worked. Ramza had chemist, black mage, white mage, time mage, and summoner all mastered in chapter 1 :P (Sept for the other spell for summoners.)
This doesnt help you to much later on though, other than using auto potion.
yeah it does but to be able to use fire 3 in chapter one is really awesome. I actually got my characters to level 43 before continuing the story and it was sad. Story battles are preset character levels but non story battles are based on Ramzas currect xp so you can reach 99 then do the first story battle after random encounters become available and defeat all of them in a couple of turns if not in one.
You have to go to the bonus dungeon on the bottom floor have a couple of summoners in your party. They learn it simular to Ramza learning Ultima (ie has to be hit and have it do damage).
which is what i explained in the description. It works well with Long listed skills like samurai and ninja where some of the JP requirements are insane Also note if you do it with the Summoner You won't actually master the class until you learn the special summon in the extra dungeon in the game.
Once that is done move the cursor back up to yes without holding the square button and push the O like you are going to learn the ability. All the moves should go grey like they can't be learned and your jp will go to 0000. Back out to the characters status screen and go back to the skill learning screen and you will see it say 9999 next to black mage now.
Thats a good question and i happens mostly with the white and black mages. What you do is from the skill your currently on try it again. If it still hits a third skill that can be learned then scroll up to the original skill (if its not at the top of the list) and adjust it slightly. Basically change what skills are visible on the list untilyou hit one that works.
No problem I don't recommend doing it on Algus since he leaves the party and he will actually use any skills he has learned in the battle against you O_O. Actually lost a battle because of that. I also recommend stripping all equipment off guests unless they become a permanent member.
Its fun at 1st demo u have 2 have patices espcailly on characters where their is alot JP cost like Agrias cousre it helps me 2 give them a cruddy Broad Sword or have them pick on enemy ho I save & torture. I also saw a challenge on gamesfaq where u can make characters from other games but changed it a little 2 fight w/ ur fav singer/actor
Try this. Take a character that just gained black mage and hasn't learned anything yet. Select Ice1 and hit the button to confirm you want to learn it. You will get a box that says Learn Ice1. Well instead of hitting yes hold the square button and push down. This will cause the list to scroll down and the cursor will be on a move you can't learn.

You will still unlock the jobs. You just end up learning the skills much faster then anticipated by the game developers.

Yea, you just have to get the jobs level'd up the the appropriate levels. For some most likely level 3,4 or 8.
Although if your lazy and never level up the class all that much then yea, you don't get the higher up jobs.

That will happen on some skills just adjust the list a little so you can still do the trick but the cursor lands on a different skill.

some classes won't scroll and therefore the trick won't work. All "spellcasting" classes and chemist work. Note that i mean BM, WM, TM, ect.

I think it's the jobs with long skill list (you can scroll the menu). Chemist, Priest, Wizard, TimeMage, Summoner, Oracle, Mediator, Lancer etc...

do u kno how to get the summon ZODIAC?

You have to go to the bonus dungeon on the bottom floor have a couple of summoners in your party. They learn it simular to Ramza learning Ultima (ie has to be hit and have it do damage).

which is what i explained in the description. It works well with Long listed skills like samurai and ninja where some of the JP requirements are insane Also note if you do it with the Summoner You won't actually master the class until you learn the special summon in the extra dungeon in the game.

to be honest i have never seen it either. Its in that dungeon thats thirteen floors long on the bottom floor.

i tried this last night on a new game and it works but only on jobs with long ability lists for example chemist,preist,time mage,black mage etc

Once that is done move the cursor back up to yes without holding the square button and push the O like you are going to learn the ability. All the moves should go grey like they can't be learned and your jp will go to 0000. Back out to the characters status screen and go back to the skill learning screen and you will see it say 9999 next to black mage now.

Thats a good question and i happens mostly with the white and black mages. What you do is from the skill your currently on try it again. If it still hits a third skill that can be learned then scroll up to the original skill (if its not at the top of the list) and adjust it slightly. Basically change what skills are visible on the list untilyou hit one that works.

No problem I don't recommend doing it on Algus since he leaves the party and he will actually use any skills he has learned in the battle against you O_O. Actually lost a battle because of that. I also recommend stripping all equipment off guests unless they become a permanent member.

Its fun at 1st demo u have 2 have patices espcailly on characters where their is alot JP cost like Agrias cousre it helps me 2 give them a cruddy Broad Sword or have them pick on enemy ho I save & torture. I also saw a challenge on gamesfaq where u can make characters from other games but changed it a little 2 fight w/ ur fav singer/actor

Try this. Take a character that just gained black mage and hasn't learned anything yet. Select Ice1 and hit the button to confirm you want to learn it. You will get a box that says Learn Ice1. Well instead of hitting yes hold the square button and push down. This will cause the list to scroll down and the cursor will be on a move you can't learn.

Its fun to do when you get used to it. You can master all the classes within the first hour of the game if you wanted to put the effort into it
