Hackintosh i7 920 - Hack Pro - OSX86

what copy of hackintosh do you use? e.g ideneb iPC... I build my own pc 2 years ago, i7 860 processor, 8gb xms 3 corsair ram, 1TB samsung hdd, nvidia gt240 spec graphic card, but honestly, I've tried so much to get my ethernet card working on my Intel DH55TC motherboard but so many things fail with hackintosh. How did you get so much to work on your version of osx86? (by the looks of it)

@GermanHunt I'm like 13 of course I can't program applications. Plus, I said I knew how RAID 0, 1 and 10 worked, a server would probably use a RAID 6 or 5, maybe a 10 if it's a small home file server. Plus, loads of video editors need RAID 0s for Uncompressed HD footage so people do need RAID arrays, and there's many other people who need different RAIDs for different purposes.

@GermanHunt Oh, and I never said I was a Mac user, I use Mac, Linux and Windows and in fact that only time I mentioned my computer was saying I built a PC so it was more likely for me to be a Windows or Linux user. Don't make assumptions, you got lucky that you were right.

@GermanHunt The 2009 Mac Pro with dual quad core XEONs will kick this Hackintosh's ass in all properly threaded CPU-bound applications, which means over all it is faster since they are built for prosumer video editing wich will have no problem using all 8 threads. In single thread tasks the i7 will come out faster though. A i7-990x or i7-2600k would be faster than the dual quad core XEONs in the Mac Pro on the other hand due to extra core count (990x) or extra architecture improvements (2600k)

This Machine is 10000000x better and Faster Then an Original Mac Pro with 8 core Xenon CPU and a Mac Pro 8core Costs like 5000€ and this Monster machine maybe 800-1000€

@GermanHunt Oh and by the way, I have a benchamrking application called cinebench which has a couple of pre-ran benchmarks and the 960 which is actually faster than the proccessor in this machine was beaten by two quad core xeon x5570 and two quad core w5590. I'm not sure of the exact proccesors the 8 core Mac Pro runs but it's definately gonna beat this machine on proccesing power so you're the one that should be doing the crying, not me.

@EmoticonMayhem oh and a xenon is a server cpu and not a mainstream cpu so the i7 has more power than the xenon couse some parts of the xenon are not made for mainstream applications. @GermanHunt for starters, if what you said about the xeon is true then how come it kicked a 960 ass in cinebench, and also, the base line 8 cor Mac pro is using a Radeon 5770 with 1GB of GDDR5 Memory. And that's a fact kiddi.

@GermanHunt If I'm not a PC freak how come I've built my own PC and know exactly how RAID 0, RAID 1 and RAID 10 work? And anyway, your inital comment said that this would beat the 8 core Mac Pro. In a graphics intensive application this would be better than the 2009 Mac Pro assuming the drivers on this are optimized. But in anything that's CPU intensive the 2009 8 core Mac Pro would still win.

mac or not x86 doesnt support hardware higher than 4 gigs of ram

and your processor mac bell unix windows what ever you wanna use on x86 is about 30 slower than normal because it is not supported

which means with your current config you have about the power of an pentium4 32 bit 3.2 ghz singular core

My i7 Hackintosh has 6GB's of RAM. No problem.

And I have no problem with processing power.

Actually, the computer scores better in Geekbench and cinebench when I run OSX than when I run Windows XP.

@kennytanvideo hey bro i also from singapore,so what hackintosh osx86 u using EFI or ideneb ,darwin ?exactly can install.once it prompt you and select the third party application and selected the system you have in your system.Like graphic card ATI or Nvivdia plus network and sound system.It will run well once you select the correct third party application and match your system.

I tried using hackintosh (iatkos v7) on my own GA-EX58-UD3R but the Audio does not work. How did you get yours to work? I tried AppleHDA.kext and VoodooHDA but to no avail

Thanks I found all the files I need. Still didnt get Wifi and Graphics to work (GTX 295). Wifi istnt that bad because a new card is like 20$ but the not fully working graphics card is shit. Iil just have to wait for some solutions to come up^^
