My grandfather ate organic since he only live in a remote area on a farm and just died from stomach cancer last week. He grew his own livestock, diet was very simple. Rice, beans, chile, and corn. Died at the age 75.
Apparently, most vegetables and fruit contain pesticides and are genetically modified. Most foods you see on the shelves contain highly addictive and unhealthy simple carbs and sugars. Tuna contains mercury. Sugar free foods contain dangerous sweetners or high fructose corn syrup, which is also dangerous.
And with meat proving dangerous too, are there any safe or healthy foods we can eat? And are they enough to give us the proteins, fats, carbs and nutrients we need to be healthy?
Surgery. It had spread to his spine.

@starrybel Did the cancer or surgery kill him? Hard to tell.

@starrybel Was he treated with chemotherapy, radiation, or surgery after he was diagnosed with cancer?

@wadehjb Organic seems to be the only way to eat.
