@abigail1922 Don't disrespect Fred or Kim ever again... They are 2 of the best vocalists I've ever seen and Fred is also an incredible musician... If anything, Eric Clapton was the one out of place in this video
wow,, i know people are gonna hate me for saying it but eric clapton got outclassed in this video.. hahah. its hard to be able to hold the front with hammond and burrell.. you cant do it on nostalgic star power alone.
@nurdcore88 No one was outclassed in this video. They were not in it to compete but to contribute there best. It was not about them. They are all a great talent. In this video they all showed themselves in what they are very good at.
These two compliment each other really well. Which is hard to say...Cause there's no one, I've yet to hear, that can compliment A special Voice like Kim's.
I knew Fred first and I found Kim about 3yrs ago. I love Kims voice. She has a unique sound which I find hard to ignore! ^-^ Fred is the man... his songs are really worth listening to and they minister to your soul! he's a gospel veteran! If you haven't heard more of him, I suggest that you do so. His songs will make you cry and go runnin' back to GOD!! ^-^
I knew Fred first as well...Trust me...He's amazing. The harmonies he sets for his choirs...are crazy, aside from the great lyrics and anointing. His new album....I fell in love with immediately...if you have not gotten it yet, get it! Listen to "Find No Fault" on that album...You can probably find it on youtube...Amazing album.
I played this one back to back 3 times. I have watched so much Fred Hammond on You Tube and have never watched this one. SHAME ON ME!!! This combination is awesome and it sends chills up my spine. It makes me proud to be a Child of God. Heaven help us all to be more loving and kind to others.
Amazing anyone can criticize such talented folks like Fred Hammond (I am STILL singing "No Weapons Formed Against Me Shall Prosper..."). And, Kim is the greatest living gospel artist in my opinion...they are great together...when folks are doing good things, let's encourage them. For if we lift him up, men will be drawn to him...say, amen, somebody!

It amazes me how these TV show producers pair up the artists. What a MISMATCH...with all due respect to brother Fred Hammond, he did not need to be there. How is it that the camera is on him most of the time when he's doing the least amount of singing (???) That was painful to watch-I'm embarrased for him-Kim ate him for *breakfast *lunch *dinner AND a *midnight snack. LOL
you need to learn what quality and diversity are in singing. If kim is a vocal beast it's not about runs (even if there's lot of people like you thinking preachers are entretainers). When you've got that, you can open your heart and soul to the diversity, appreciate singers like fred hammond for what they are and stop hating on them for what they ain't. Even Kim has been criticize by some, for some people she just a vocalist and not a singer, but this is just for people in need to hate.Get peace
problems with ur comment... Fred and Kim are musical geniuses in their own right... Wonderful things happen when u bring beautiful talents together. Fred & Kim's #1 Fan!!!
Three heavy weights. Eric Clapton? There's not way to describe that cat. He's on Kelly Price's song 'Again" on her 'Priceless' album. Fred is my favorite gospel singer. Kim Burrell brought new style to gospel. This was a great video.
Kim Burrell's voice is wonderful. And Fred's is too. Fred is my man though. He's been my man since back in the 80s when I first started listening to Commissioned.
kim does off the wall on purpose. Students of music look at that in a totally different way than just people who think they know anything about music.
Kim wasn't off and she didn't run out of breath. She riffed down a minor scale, took a breath and then proceeded to run down. We all should know how otherworldly Kim's ear is. GOD BLESS!!!!!!
UMMMM! No! Kim is always on point! To all of you that's saying she was off! NEVA!!!! I'm a male gospel vocalist myself. Kim's singing can get so complicated that to the natural ear of someone that don't really know what singing is all about. It may sound off to you! But I love her. And she is saved for real. I'm so glad to know the God that she knows! Jamaron
It's Stevie from waaaaaay back in the day at Motown -- I'd guess late 60s -- around the time of My Cherie Amour. I don't know whether he wrote it himself or not. BUT, I would say that "secular" is a weird word for Stevie. His songs have never gone against religion, even when they haven't been obviously about the Lord.
Kim is the most flexible creative artist on this planet! She has madddd runs and freedom in her vocals and she dont have to scream to get them out cuz they just flow!
Yes thank you for this- I believe this was the Journey's in Black tribute to Stevie Wonder- They are two of my favorite gospel artists and I remember being happy to see them singing together- both of their voices are very unique
if weren't the guitarist this i couldn't listen to this mess
