  • I watch all your shows, but I have to say tinybrightlites is no good, they took my money and their phone is not working, called pay pay to get my money back still waiting please look into this for us or tell the folks they are no longer in business and stop dumping money into their paypal account. its misleading and as a fellow Marine I know you will do the right thing. I have given them 3 weeks to reply to my emails, I have no other way of reaching them to work this out.

  • @hma775 They've done this to me too.

  • is this a micro p-51

  • Is it possible to turn the machine gun light's on and off with out disturbing the other light's?

  • Does it cut down on flight time much?

  • Will this work with the transmitter that comes with the ready to fly version?

  • Very cool! Did you notice any change in flying characteristics with the lights installed? I'm on my 3rd Parkzone u.m. P-51, will definitely add this set. Just added Tiny Brite navigation and afterburner lights to my LX F-22 V3 it looks insane!

  • at 222 it has to be on a varaible 5th chanel ie a knob

  • I just built an rc carrier for this plane you can see the video on warderseekers channel.Parkzone p51 carrier landings.

  • Nightflyyer I had the info clearer but kept getting error when trying to post so kept reducing readings etc... some of the percentages could probably be changed but I was so glad to get it finally working I just left everything as is....YES

  • Nightflyyer I finally got my spectrum 6i programed to fire machine gun lights separately fro m red and green and strobeplug the lights in the center plug of um p51 esc/rx using the forward 3 pins of the 5 pin plug like you show in your video then I set up MIX 1 using master as flap gear ACT rate D109 U 103 SW FLAP TRIM ACTnext set FLAP Norm 74 Land 44 Travel Adj GEAR 100 Flap125so now plug everthing in...turn gear sw down 3 lts then flaps down for guns

  • @1stealthtom Cheers for the info!

  • thanks binbetter...on 6i flaps you can set normal zero to 100 and land for zero to 100% so maybe the flaps setting will work...2 positions

  • @1stealthtom ...so I'm thinking plug the tbl plug into the umP51 aux channel in center of the rx/esc and with flap setting off/normal...start increasing the percentage til the grn, red, strobe, and beacon come on... then switch to flap/land mode and increase the percentage til the machine gun lights come on

  • my tiny brite lights are on the way...waiting for someone to come up with a way to turn machine guns on and off with a spectrum 6i?????any genius working on this problem????independently of other lights in other words...thanks ahead of time...you'll be a big hero to other 6i owners

  • @1stealthtom the only thing I can think of would be to increase the servo endpoint on the aux channel til the navigation lights come on, then you would have machine guns only on your 2 pos. switch. This means your nav lights would remain lit as soon as the battery was connected.

    Good luck, have fun.

  • @BinBetter Hey thanks I'll try it when I get my lights....their web site also says there is a 4 step throttle sequence off...nav lts on ....guns on ...all on or similar but how would you get their lights connected into the throttle circuit

  • @1stealthtom It is not on the throttle, but rather an aux dial type. or if you have a 9303/9503 on dsm2 bound in, it would be programmed to a slider switch. (sorry on the late response, computer crashed)

  • @1stealthtom on the dx6i, if you were ambitious, you can go to a mix and select thro - aux . set the adjustment to whatever % (it will be zero or null) big downside is where your motor would be running or barely running to get the lights you want

  • How do the lights look in day with the sun out. Good? also they don't fill the battery fast, right?

  • Must be a Mustang ,once again thanks for this nice video-clip !

  • And they are very cool!

  • TOO COOL!!!

  • Hey dave,

I love my little p-51. The lites arw real nice looking on it!!! Do they sell them online?

  • I live in Scotland and ordered them online from thier website and paid with paypal, the arrived within a week and work perfect, big kudos to them, they are setup for channel five with a rotary controller and work fine, off, nav lights and nav lights with machine gun strobest, luckily I have a lp5dsm as well as my dx6i, not sure how to set them up for full control on the dx6i but they work great on the lp5 with the rotary ch5 flap rotary knob

  • Dave that is cool!!!!!!!

  • Dave I know you love all of these oldie props, but I was really hoping that you would get back into the EDF jets. Those were the good times, with the EF-2000 and the F-35, and of course, the F-18.

  • Thanks. Well, I like the jets too, but the weather has been pretty lousy, so have to fly something, ya know. See my latest snow video and see why. LOL

  • Yeah, I saw that, It was crazy!

  • yeah cool

  • Hey guys,D&J. I always love watching your videos and here we all are in 2010 Already! I really feel the professionalism and dedication that goes into 'our' hobby and especially your; reviews& fun&educational etc, always something new and exciting to learn.Hope summer comes quick for you two Already! I noticed that the quality just keeps getting better and polished on each new video! Also guysRC Heli Pilot magazine this month. Second issue ever, Is a great read!Pick it up next time your at the LHS

  • Hey Dave get a red marker pen on that tail strobe, that will sort it (c:

I saw one of those planes at our last indoor fly in, oh boy it's on my list.

  • ukie?

  • Great vid again Dave, love those lights. I think lights add to a model at any time, I've installed some nav lights on my Blade 400, garden's a bit small for night flying tho' LOL

  • gud day mr.Dave herbert can you plzzz help e,coz im planning to buy a r/c heli and my choice is STORM 450,does this heli have a good specs?tnxzz and more power

  • @sepc4galang

    1. Dave gets enough of these comments already. It says on his page most of the things you need to know. Imagine how many times he gets that question. Is this good for me? Whats a good heli to start on?

    2. ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND? The Storm 450 is an advanced 3D heli. trying to fly it would like trying to get a kid to drive a Ferarri. No way is someone who hasn't even flown yet going to be able to fly a heli like that without crashing in under 20 seconds.

  • I swear you pioneered almost everything RC related :)

  • Haha. Now you know how old I am. LOL

  • It seems overwhelming to be talking to the person who actually pioneered the etrm :)

  • Nice job Dave. Cool sound effects too! I was ready to "duck & cover" haha! 5 stars.

  • Thanks kindly Scott. Should you change your name to Snowman or Sandman? LOL

  • where did u get your blu ray helicopter in your fishing video

  • Xheli(.)com

  • Next time.

  • Too bad the gun lights can't be switched separately. Looks odd with guns "firing" continuously.

  • @carfaxer60 Yes, they are advertised to but I did not take the time on this trial to figure out how to set my DX6i to do that. There were no directions.

  • I do not know how to get them to work fully on my dx6i, I get the same all on or off you get on the vid, thank you btw help me install them. If i bind the P51 to my LP5DSM I got with my cx3 they work on the rotary flab knob, off, nav lights and nav lights with machine guns.

  • Good music choice :) And as usual, I am as usual saying, it's an awesome toob post.

  • @Peakay Thanks very kindly.

  • "Wow, Those light are cool! Im gonna put them on every plane" haahah

    nice Dave

    Happy Flying

    =)

  • @airsoftfreek69 Haha. thanks

  • Oh, very nice! Indeed! :- )

  • @JPilot2 Thank you.

  • Hey I went to that web site and they only had the lights for the sukhoi, did u use those lights and did it come with all those lights in the video and did u just plug them in into the middle and they all work? NO WIRING?

  • @Aero2121 I used the stock radio in my P-51 but the Sukhoi radio I used in my Pterodactyl. They both are the same, just plug them in. The wiring is all done for you.

  • WOW! Very nice lights, it look very good!

    .

    ~DLPlanes

  • @DLPlanes Thanks very kindly.

  • Very Cool!

  • @MrBillTroop73 Thank you sir.

  • good to see leds available that are as little as grain of wheat bulbs which arent very easy to come by and arent efficient as leds-- ah pity the fool that tees off the pilot in this plane!!!

  • @pudd750 In the pioneering days, we used 5v 327 incandescent bulbs as they were brighter than grain of wheats. They used lots of battery. But the stuff today is amazing at best. Thanks for the comments.

  • Love the sound effect at 4:17 makes the plane look like it is really shooting. Great job.

  • i dont expect to get a reply from this comment but can you do a video about good flight simulator because i have people asking me at work saying oh hey you fly planes whats the best simulator to be learning on if i could get a reply i would be very greatful give me a mention if you get chance to make a video thanks.

    Jack (RazorFlint)...

  • Hey RazorFlint look through Dave's old vids he has done more than one on the subject of sims.

Also if you PM Dave he will get back to you but be patient he gets lots of PMs.

I really like my Real Flight sim but it was expensive at $150 compared to some of the $30 sims.

You get a sim with many planes when you buy them.

  • Thank you sir.

  • Good and inexpensive is my video on the Clearview simulator. ( RCFlighsim(.)com To me, it is how it flies not how it looks. But the German Graphics are pretty darn good on this one, and it needs no special computer, which is why I like it so much. It runs on my stock laptop. Has even got rc cars. Free trial download too.

  • excellent, very nice effect in the dark, another great vid Dave and Jeff.

  • Thanks very kindly.

  • been using these on my p51 and blade msr for a little while, it looks pretty awesome :)

just missing the sound when you enable the guns :P

i can cycle guns+lights/lights/no lights on the DX7 but it doesn't work either on the DX6i (its all or nothing). i didn't have time to investigate.. but def. a radio issue or xport issue, lights are working ok

  • Me too. Thanks kindly.

  • looks like the machine gun lights could give you a siezure. beautiful camera work too Jeff!

  • Thanks John.

  • TinyBriteLites sell really well in our store and their service is unparalleled! The father/mother/son company that is TinyBriteLites lives just in the next city over, so they're kind enough to physically drive to our store and hand deliver our order the same day we place it.

    Cheers for the great vid!

  • Thanks very kindly. I hope this vid gets more people night flying as they are very good quality. Good luck and say hi to them.

  • Hi again. I sent a link and an email to info@tinybritelights, but never got an answer

So if you know them, maybe you could let them know there are independents like us supporting them. Good luck in your store. Thanks. Dave

  • The next time I see them I'll let them know. We had just ordered a good sized amount of product from them a few weeks ago so it may be a while, but I'll make a note of it for when we run low. :)

  • That was very entertaning ,the lights look very good and give it some realism 5* {"_*}

  • Thanks very much. I appreciate that.

  • Very nice Dave. I also think you should get the Vapor. It's another micro marvel from Parkzone. Just placed my order for the 4-Site ( :

  • Yes, every body has em around here. They are very neat.

  • @stickwalker Haha. My neighbors think I came from a UFO already! LOL.

  • very nice yet again dave :D

  • @thatssirforyou Thank you sir.

  • Another 5 star production, except the sound is from a twin engine not a single engine plane.

  • @donniegeorge55 Thanks... Actually that was from another escort plane. LOL.

  • Thanks for the 1080p Dave, another great video *****!

Is it possible to channel the wires into the wings etc. So they are hidden?

Have you any RC Gyro-copter videos, I don't think I've seen you with one yet.

  • @locouk Thank you. Thanks again. The wings are too thin to put wires in. I hide them underneath and in the dark no one can see them anyway. LOL The worst planes look great in the dark. I have since made tiny windows so light shines out top and bottom and relocated all the wires. This was just a quick trial. Closest thing to gyrocopters are My Hyperfly. LOL

  • coool but how did you bind that plane to your transmitter ?

i hava a kyosho and like that to bind it to my graupner or futuba transmitter

    if you know how pls

    grtzzzz

  • @poerik Thanks. The Mustang has a DSM2 radio. Just turn off the TX, Turn on the RX, Then hold the Training switch on, while turning on the transmitter and hold it til the Rx light goes steady. Voila!

  • now all it needs is sound

  • @skaterock1234 You didn't hear sound on this vid?

  • @NightFlyyer yes i did but i ment the plane needs sound on the plane itself

  • thats pretty cool dave i was wondering about those machine gun lights awesome 5 stars

  • @exiledconnections Thaks kindly. Yep, they are neat.

  • cool

it would be better with an extra red led for the tail for a more scale apearance but over all a cool product,

are the machinegun lights independantly switchable?

would look better when doing low passes and flick em on lol

    nice :D

  • @puggster I totally agree with you. Red tail light blinkers are the standard, and usually the white strobe is on the belly too. Maybe they will get it changed, or they could be ordered with the proper light colors for standing on the ground pilots. They have to look real and you have to be able to see them at all attituces. Still fun though. I thought the machine guns would turn on and off, but in my case, they all turn on and off. I will do some investigating. Thanks for the comments.

  • Another great Video Dave! I see from the flightlights site that you can turn the machine guns on and off from the TX independant of the other lights..... COOL Stuff!!

  • @rowdyrodcumming Thanks kindly.

  • lol @ "i'm gonna put em on everything", hahaha

  • so is the red light so much brighter? or just installed in a slightly different position, because I can see the red light nearly the entire time and long before the green is spotted.

  • Also, that can have to do with the camera....What you're seeing on Youtube of those LEDs are a deal different in real life. Just the way the camera picks up light like that.

  • @14MorrisonB Actually the lights are being hidden in the left turn. They are under the wing. I did not want to put them right on the tip, as it would be easy to damage there. I have since relocated them and put tiny windows in the wing, so the lights shine through. Thanks for your comments, as they are true tool.

  • hey dave

this is just a comment because i have not been one of the top 10 for commenting on your videos

can you believe it the video is not even buffered but still i am writing this as i dont know when i might be one among the top 5 to comment on your video

i have not even seen the video but i can say that it will be a awesome video and 5*****

    prateek.

  • Thanks. I hope you finally got to see it.

  • Tiny and bright! Hehehe

  • Teeny too!

  • Great work Dave, Very impressive, They are definately Tiny, Bright Lights.. What were they called again?

  • Haha. TBLs....Thanks kindly.

  • Very cool dave, I can't wait till i get my UM P-51.

  • Thanks very much.

  • i never saw the tail strobe flashing.
