I think she is highly overarated in this role.Obviously a talneted woman no denying that,but it takes a certain voice to sing that role constantly and come out undamaged. She is great but in this role,I do think there are far better
This is a different arrangement than the one that appears in the musical. It has a more pop-like feel. The different sound is not the function of a damaged voice but of a different song.

i disagree. I do love anyone who steps into Elphie's shoes like Nicole Parker, Teal Wickes, Katie Dodd and many more, but Idina's unique voice and interpretation of the character made Elphaba. It's theatre, that's the beauty of it. Many different voices fit into that character, but Idina was indeed unique and brilliant.
Same goes for Glinda. My favs are Kristin Chenoweth, Annaleigh Ashford and Alli Mauzey, but they are all so different.

That had tears sprouting in my eyes!!! And at the end I was like excited and I felt all victorious n was like "YEH"ing at my computer...I wasn't even there! Ha!
I love how she makes things so special, a feeling of togetherness, equality. And the rapor with everyone, like she muct have made that girls LIFE!!!

I was there!!!!!!! One of the most emotional moments of my life. Personally, I think Idina has one of the best voices...ever...
I was one of the eight people to meet her after this show and am happy to say that she is as great a person as she is a performer.
My overall goal is to perform with her one day!
