  • Hey Scooby, i saw your video about the protein shake but i have no clue on what to do with those powders. When are you supposed to drink it? Before the workout, after the workout, at different times, at the same time, before going to bed? I dunno, im hoping to read one of your great advice about it, thank you.

  • My girlfriend wanted me to ask the following question: Can girls follow Scoobys guidelines for male bodybuilding? Will they gain muscle, or are they far more limited in terms of muscle gain?

  • Can chicken be used in place of salmon sometimes?

That's pretty much all my email now (with slight edits).

I just thought of something else, how about noodles? Can they be fit in as a meal?

And to replace refried beans, will I just use kidney beans or something? Or can anyone suggest something better for it (Don't different beans have different properties?)? :)

  • Just a couple more bits.

The low fat TV dinner to be used, should it have meat (as well as lots of vegetables) in it for protein?

And I could eat the chilli heat up as a meal too, right?

I want to say a big thanks for the videos, you have really inspired me to get back into working out and getting fit again so I'm going to start right back at beginner and work my way back to fitness and improve myself. Your videos are really informative and funny, I look forward to your future videos.

  • Or, you can divide your workout to be cardio in the morning, weights in evening, or viceversa.

  • Or should I workout later in the day nearer dinner (or the protein shake)? Could I still do my morning jog? (I think I'll be only really able to do the workout at morning or evening) Also, how long should I do this regime before moving back onto weights and so on?

  • I'll copy/paste the rest of my email now I guess as there's a few things left.

I was thinking about going for a jog every morning from now on to work on my cv and then doing my crunches, pushups and pullups (although I'll need to find somewhere to do this, don't have a bar anywhere around the house, might get a doorframe one for this) afterwards, so would you suggest to do this before or after breakfast?

  • for pullups and pushups, get the "iron gym". it is really cheap and handy as for cardio, it doe'snt matter when you do your cardio, just DONT work out within 3 hours of bedtime, because that may give you trouble sleeping. I've experienced it many times. Also, you can switch from cardio to weights whenever, just don't make it so you're on weights, then a bit of cardio, then a bit of weights then a bit of cardio again. I would reccomend do weights then cardio and you're done.

  • How can I get a good tan during the winter to show off my muscles? I live in an apartment, so I can't just go out and lay naked in my backyard like I used to. There is the option of going to a tanning salon, but that's rather embarassing, because I am a guy lol. I want a good tan everywhere, with no tan lines around my butt or arms ^^ can you like buy blacklights that you can install in your room? Or should I go in the middle of nowhere and take off my clothes? LOL just curious plz suggest.

  • FUCKING LOVE THE SCOOBY

  • hey scooby, although i think i may have asked before, i'm an model/actor i'm going to go audition for agencies and clients heavily. i don't work so i have all day to work out. could you recommend a 2 week intense boot camp style work out? thanks, i'm your biggest fan.

  • I'll copy/paste some of the other stuff from my message.

The frozen vegetables I'm using right now are a mix of broccoli, cauliflower, carrots and peas (I can tell you had something quite different), I have to add some water to them when I microwave them. Would you say these are fine?

Can anyone suggest what I should use in place of refried beans? Be specific if you can.

Scooby, if you can answer these, please let me know what you think. But it's a hassle to paste my email in bits here.

  • Erm, canned or dry ones, as I said above.

Keep in mind that the meals Scooby posted are not a complete diet, but just general ideas, so don't make getting refried beans a matter of life and death.

The basic guideline is: Choose food that is high in volume and low in energy while making sure your nutrition is balanced.

  • That depends- what exactly is the ratio of broccoli to carrots? Only joking- don't get so caught up in the details- veg is veg and beans are beans.

  • u r not looking as ripped as u used to be in this video

  • probably cuz hes getting old. i mean he looks old.

  • Scooby you need to work on your legs :)

  • Hi. I heard you can't possibly get muscled without proffesional help. Like you need either a personal trainer or go to the gym where they tell you what to do, watch you do the exercises, etc. Is this true, or could you just buy a set of dumbells and work out at home and get muscled?

  • scooby's right: all you need is knowledge and dedication. all a personal trainer has over you is knowledge. so if you learn what you need to do you can get ripped too.dumbells will work for a while but to get bigger you'll need heavier weights.

  • My guess is that you were told that by someone who wanted your money! A good personal trainer can help you optimize your progress but there is no reason you cant make great progress working out on your own at home with simple equipment as I have been preaching for years.

  • Alright, I'll work out at home then. Thanks for the help.

  • makes Boxing,thats the best

  • excuse me scooby quick question how do you know what body fat percentage you are?

  • The only accurate way to get a true percentage is a flotation tank, not worth it. A mirror is best for determining overall progress, a skinfold caliper is best at keeping track of weekly fluctuations to make sure you are on track.

  • Hi, Scooby, I was wondering if you recieved my email? It's not full of personal training questions, mainly about nutrition in relation to your video.

If you'd rahter I posted everything from it here, just say, but it will take a lot of posts to put it all here.

  • Actually, I've checked the website more and found the answer to a couple of my questions, but there are still some I have that aren't answered. Such as my question about refried beans not being available over here (Scotland) and what I should use in their place. And is skimmed milk okay? It's 0.6g fat per 200ml but I can't find 0% fat milk anywhere. Skimmed is the lowest fat milk I can find. My questions were all like this pretty much.

  • The skimmed milk will be just fine. Remember: Your body needs SOME fat to function properly.

If refried beans aren't available you can also use canned or dry ones.

  • As for beans, there are usually plenty of different sorts available, it doesn't matter which you use. Refried beans may be with Tacos and mexican style foods like that, rather than with other beans. They are definately available in the England, so I would have thought they'd be in Scotland too.

  • Skimmed milk is 7.4% Calories from fat. I just posted the workings out but it didn't show, so here's the formula. There are 9 Cals per gram of fat. So percentage of Calories from fat= 100 x (fat grams x 9)/ Total Calories.

  • About 0% milk, by weight, skimmed milk is about 0.3% fat, so to the nearest 1%, it is 0% fat by weight. Just not by Calories, which is the relevant bit. You have to watch out for that on food labels, skimmed milk is still very low fat, but some things claiming to be, aren't.

  • So skimmed is fine then...

  • Haha. Yes.

  • LOL @ 6:16 another inpointent, important. Your tha man scoobs

  • 100 of 1,000,000,00? dollars? lol. I love your videos!!!! You sounded like you stumbled upon some words

  • I always stumble on my words, I'm an engineer, I dont talk or write well :)

  • will u make a video for a shoulder work out please

  • Beside the six shoulder videos he already has?

    Check his playlists.

  • lmfao!!! the end was jokkesss

  • Jump rope cardio is amazing! When I first began working out, I use to count 200jumps 4x and I also did 15push ups and 25 crunches between each jump rope set. I lost 30lbs in 2 months from doing that workout.

  • That's it?! How many times a week did you do that? And I already have a healthy diet, but Im still on the chubby side.

I need all the tips I can get!

  • When I first started out I did the jump rope thing everyday of the week for about 3 months but I stopped losing weight after 2 months. The exercise I was doing was just for me to begin to get in shape, it might be to easy for you.

  • im going to take your word on the healthy diet

but you should work out for at least an hour(thats doing push ups, sit ups or crunches, pull ups, and any form of cardio exercise)a day and i can guarantee you'll get slim and fit with in 3-5 months

    hopes this helps

  • Quite true

  • Do you have any alternatives if you dont have a pull up bar?

  • Have you looked into the "Iron Gym" or one of the other ones that you put up in your doorway. They're pretty cheap and I'm happy with mine.

  • Yeah ive seen those on tv but i wonder if that little piece of panel above a door can hold someones body weight.

  • A couple of my friends bought them as well. We all weigh in the neighborhood of 170 lbs. One of my buddies lives in an 90 year old house. No problems so far (using it 4-5 times per week for the past six weeks).

  • Cool thanks for the feedback. I think ill get 1 then.

  • Good Luck.

  • Any playgrounds nearby, how about schools? You can always find a place to do pullups there. How about a basement with pipes? A tree?

  • I usually run 6k a night, but in Canada ill be damned if I go outside in -40 :D

Keep the good videos comming man. Youve helped me alot.

  • -40 degrees? Yikes, thats indoor jumprope time!

  • Ever since I hurt my shoulder im afraid to work out. I dislocated it 2 years ago, but im still afraid it'll slip out. Do u think I should still attempt to do sit ups and pull ups? I've just been doing cardio, and my stomach is gettin fat.

  • subby33: If you are doing a good amount of cardio already, it is your diet that's making your stomach fat, because that's just where any excess calories will be stored for most guys. Get some advice from a doctor or physio on what exercises are suitable, and reassurance that your injury has healed, and bear in mind that you will need to start very gradually as you will need to build up lost strength in the muscles and connective tissues especially since it has been so long.

  • Thanks sexomatic.

  • how tall are u?

  • i love love love ur vids. u amazing man. Thanks,it really helps.

  • hi man, i really like you video's thanks i learn alot from you, i just got one question is there a Miss scooby ? :)

  • Relationships are complicated...

  • thank you very informitave

  • hey! nice videos, i have a bad lower back, is there anything u know i can do to strengthen it or correct scoliosis?

  • godsmack4232: Scoliosis is not easy to correct, and it requires working with a specialist such as a physiotherapist.

  • As sexomaticveganfreak says, scoliosis is something you should work with your doctor /physical therapist about. It ranges from mild and almost unnoticeable (like I have) to a crippling disability depending on severity. When its mild, a shoe lift can be used to even the hips out but even then you should work with the doctor because even minor changes like this can cause intense back pain (Speaking from personal experience here).

  • nice video. always wanted to know how to start pull ups wen u weigh 105kg. i hate being fat, but i still cant stop my self from eating! anyways, lol @ shirt wearing part! hehe

  • What you can do to get accustomed to them is doing them negative. Step on a stair, so that your head is at or slightly above the height of the bar, grab the bar and slowly lower yourself to the ground. Step on the chair again and repeat.

But losing some weight won't only be healthier for you, it'll also make the pullups easier ;)

  • i can do that, thanx man!

  • im just wondering is trampolining a type of cardio?

  • No, as you can't achieve a high heart rate :)

  • louisebray22: Any steady activity which keeps your heart rate up can be cardio- if you are talking about a mini trampoline it is similar to skipping (jump rope) but lower intensity and lower impact. It will depend on your fitness level whether the trampoline gets your heart rate high enough.

  • 1 question... WHERE CAN I GET THAT SHIRT LOL!

  • Glad you asked! You can buy the t-shirt from cafepress, on my website there is a link on the Misc>AboutMe page :)

  • thanks and good to know

  • Hi, I'd just like to say thanks for the videos, they are great. But I have a few questions (too many to put here) relating to another video of yours.

I have sent a friend invitation so I can perhaps send you a message asking for more guidance and advice.

I hope you see this message and allow me to ask you my questions.

    Thankyou.

  • BarrytheSuperScot: Check out Scooby's website (link is in more information to the right of the video) if you haven't already. You may well find your questions are answered there.

  • sexomaticveganfreak: I have checked the website. I can't find exactly what answers I'm after though. Thanks anyway.

  • BarrytheSuperScot: I know you said there was too much to post in a comment, but perhaps if you give an idea of the type of information you need, Scooby or one of the rest of us could point you in the right direction to find it. Scooby is not able to answer private requests for training advice due to liability and time constraints. If it's just the sheer volume of questions, how about starting with the one that's bugging you the most? :o)

  • It's not really personal training questions, and really, it would take me about 10 replies to put in everything with all the details. I've emailed it, it would take literally 2 minutes to reply to though.

  • great video! who designed the shirt?

  • I wish I could claim credit for the shirt but Kirstin and Marco came up with the clever slogans and Predrag came up with the artwork.

  • Once again Scooby, another top notch video. Keep up the good work, you're saving peoples lives.

  • that dude is the muscle :p owns

  • Ok, you dont take supplements you claim. Well I know for a fact you DONT do cardio on a regular basis because you seem to have quite some unnecessary body fat. Indeed, your muscles are quite big so they are still visible through the fat, but it doesnt look good at all. You need to drop your body fat to below 10

  • Has it occured to you that he doesn't want to drop his bodyfat to that because it makes him look gaunt?

And saying that he doesn't do a lot of cardio because his bf % is higher shows you don't really know what you are talking about.

  • hardkicker92, you need to stop presenting things as "fact" when its clear you have no idea what you are talking about. You say "know for a fact" that scooby1961 does not do cardio on a regular basis just by looking at this video - there is NO way you can possibly tell how much cardio someone does by looking at a picture (or video) of them.

  • It is evident from the way his body has developed. And yes I can know FOR fact from this video. Do you know what else is evident? He shaves all his body parts like women do.

  • ...and lardkicker92 hides behind the anonymity of Youtube posting offensive comments and taking a pride in the number of 'thumbs down' votes she gets like weasly cowards do.

  • No, I found it contradicting for someone who in my opinion is not in shape makes video about being in shape. I don't understand why you are involved with my comments. It is really amusing how you try to personally attack my by calling me "Lardkicker92" and "She" when the conversation has nothing to do with my username or my gender. So congratulations on having nothing better to do than entangle yourself with my comments. In all honesty, you REALLY need to get a life.. no joke

  • you no what you dont know if he does cardio every day hes NOT fat at all and people can do cardio every day and not have the perfect body.

Most bodybuilders shave their bodys and maybe hes just not hairy. SO FUCK YOU

  • whats wrong with shaving? bodybuilders do it all the time and it shows the vascularity and definition of the muscle. and if you're gonna put down scooby on his amazing physique....i dont see you putting up any videos.

  • I am not homosexual enough to post video on my "vascularity" on the internet.

  • Free speech is protected by the First amendment, and is encouraged here! We all learn by exchanging ideas and debating, if everyone had the same opinion life would indeed be dull. There are limitations on free speech though, hate speech and slander (use of untruths to harm others) are not protected or tolerated on youtube. The best way to encourage civil debate is to use the formulation "I think (concept) because (reason)", don't present things as "fact" that are merely conjecture.

  • Yes you are right. Sorry for my mistake and accusation when I have no proof. After watching a few more of your videos, I see you are quite muscular, good work. Keep up the good work and happy holidays

  • You always hear that resolution, but why not start today; I always say. Scooby you're inspirational cuz you showed me that you don't need a expensive gym to get toned up :)

  • I have a few questions:

    1) can this 15 min workout tone a body quickly?

    2) should cardio come before strength training?

    3) I don't have a pull up bar...how else should I work out my biceps and lats?

thanks a lot, your vids are really helpful scooby!

  • For those two muscle groups you can check out scooby's other videos--they're amazing.

  • Scooby = A retired Captain America. *salutes*

  • Ha-ha!

    I can't stop laughing.

    Speechless...

    Look at his face, ha-ha-ha-ha-!

  • I don't see how his voice is womanly?... but okay lol I disagree :P and yea he is a good guy and he has helped me figure out better ways to work out with my bench/Protein crap etc.. GOOD MAN :) keep it up!

  • this guy scooby speaks truth, he even has me eating vegetables every day! im 21 and trying to make a good impression on this girl, progress is wonderful! i started noticing love handles and went to work asap while they are still easy to deal with. now I am at a six pack and my chest and biceps are like scoobys! yea his voice is kind of feminine, but he is a cool guy and has a good heart so hes cool with me. watch his videos if you want to look good for the summer!

  • hey scoob like what would u think a propper diet would consists of cuz im pretty confused on what to eat and stuff??

  • Check Scooby's site under Nutrition.

  • Honestly, its just a matter of watching what you eat. vegetables are good especially green ones that are high in fibre that fill you up. take out and what not isnt good. common sense is very useful.

if you want an actual diet, you might want to research various foods, the chemicals/nutrients that can benifit you, or take you down.

  • hahahahah...I was just gunna comment "does he even own a shirt" then the ending came on :P thanx for another great vid scooby

  • u should do a video about the back's muscles not only the latissimus dorsi please XDD

  • Scooby. What is an easy way to increase metabolism?

  • eating 6 small meals during the day and doing cardio-vascular

  • If by "metabolism" you mean "energy consumption" then it's easy: do more cardio.

  • u have brilliant muscle by the way i think i want to concentrate mainly on my arms and abbs

because i think they look the best

ur good by actually responding to the comments most well know videos never do ur helping a lot of people

id subscribe but i already did

  • Thanks for the tips! i'm gonna give these try, although i should still put a bar somewhere in my shed for some pullups.

Have a good holiday everyone and Happy New Year :)

  • Same to you! :)

  • how do i gain weight?

  • As you become more and more muscular, you'll also gain weight (but this weight is not fat, its muscles) - or did you think Gerald Butler in 300 (Leonidas) was a lightweight guy?

  • eating.. noob

  • You either eat more energy than you need or you try to gain muscle. The first will lead to weight from fat, the second to weight from muscle.

  • you know, you're probably right... for people who want to lose weight in the matter of YEARS.

for people that want to lose weight in a matter of months, a solid amount, a strict diet and exercise is required, at least an hour of exercise.

but... informative video anyway. i'm somewhat of a bodybuilder. i used to be overweight, being 210 at 5'9 and 22% BF. after only a year i'm 165 lbs 10% BF.

  • When you are heavily overweight, you can't lose that in a "matter of months" without eating so little that you suffer from malnutrition.

  • very informative. This guy knows his stuff.

  • thnx scooby, great tips and this is indeed easy to keep up, cardio it is :) happy holidays :D

  • kevjumbad haha,, grow up you little child

i bet you've tried sooo hard to become muscular and failed at many attempts

dude just fuck off :) dikk

  • hey scooby we people at you tube can se your body made of steroid!!! why dont u quit this youtube crap videos?

  • Scooby ur doin' really good work with ur vids. Specially your 6-pack vids have helped me alot. I'm just wondering, that what is a good way to work out lower back and lower tummy and sides? btw. great ending on this vid !

  • You don't need a shirt :p

If you've got it flaunt it...

  • thanks alot Scooby, i have been watching your vids for awhile now. I have lost about 10 pounds already but i am replacing it with muscle so i geuss im counter productive in a good way. thanks man

  • Hey Scooby, long time viewer, first time private-messager to you. There are a lot of supplements out there, like protein shakes, whey, pills, etc. and my questions are,

Are they all just a big waste of money? Or do they actually make your muscles grow faster? (If so then can you please recommend some?)

Thanks a lot, really appreciate it.

  • I think ALL supplements are a very bad idea except for protein powders which I consider a food, rather than a supplement. Check out my website under Nutrition>Supplements to see why (cant cover it in the 500 chars allowed here)

  • Merry Christmas Scooby !

Another awesome video. I would just like to thank you for being your country's best export, and selflessley doing so much for the health of your 35,000 subscribers.

  • Thanks! Happy Holidays!

  • In addition a big part or secret of losing fat, is actually eating more good fats. About 20% of your calories should come from good fats. Not only do good fats suppress hunger but aid in weight loss.

  • Right now Im working out Mon-Thurs and doing Cardio Mon-Thurs. This gives my body a 3 day COMPLETE rest. Is this a good idea in your opinion Scoob? Thanks

  • Unless your doctor has given you direct orders, no, taking a 3day complete rest is NOT a good idea. Check out the American Heart Associations website, the recommend cardio EVERY day - not 4 days a week.

  • Thank you! I will try it, and I will try my best to stick to it. I need to get in to shape real bad

  • dear scooby thanks to your videos i lost 40 pounds in 5 months, i use to run 2 to 3 miles a day, but now i cut it down to 4 times a week( i never skip carido) even when its raining i run i dont care. But now im sacred of gaining my weight back. Can you please make a video about how to keep the weight off.

  • Congrats on losing 40lbs! The hard part is losing the weight, your job is easy now by comparison. The fact that you are scared that you will gain the weight back is a very, very good thing because it means you will keep your guard up. You can never go back to your old eating habits or the weight comes back on, continue to eat lots of veggies and whole grains and avoid foods high in fat. You can cut back a bit on the cardio, try walking 2-3 miles daily instead of jogging it.

  • Hey man, first of all I would like to say great vids. I follow most of them. Next I would like to ask, which one of your exercises will really tighten up and lift the chest? I recently lost some weight and I have a little lose skin on the sides of my chest near the under arm and I would really like to get rid of that. Your help will be very appreciated.

  • After losing lots of weight, it can take the skin a long time (a year?) to shrink and tighten up, depends a lot on your age how fast and how much it can shrink. There is nothing you can do now except wait as far as I know, you might see a doctor to verify this or get some other options.

  • As Scooby said, it should tighten by itself, especially when you are younger. What you can do to help your skin along the way is massaging it with a sisal glove, which will better the blood flow and strengthen the connective tissue.

  • hell yea scooby is the shit

  • Indeed he is

  • scooby,

I've been working out for a little over a year and i realize now that my pecs are a little out of proportion. my upper pecs and inner pecs aren't in proportion to the lower part of my chest. what types of exercises can i do at home that will help me reach the inner and upper part of my chest besides dumbbell fly's. i like calisthenic movements so any push up variation would be nice. can you recommend any exercises?

  • Focus more on incline bench press.

  • Unless you have been lifting hardcore for 5 years already, I wouldnt worry at all about it. Just focus on doing complete body workouts with a balance of exercises and giving everything 110%. When you have been lifting 5yrs then you can start working about bring the weak parts up to snuff.

  • Thanks for all your great advice scooby. I'm a great fan of yours. Keep up the great work.

  • The guy talking the in beginning looks really bad. He works out his chest unproportionally and talks too many supplements to look like that. THIS VIDEO IS SHIT

  • Hey hardkicker92, "the guy talking in the beginning" of this video is ME, scooby1961. You claim I "talks too many supplements"? Clearly you have not seen my website or any of the dozens of comment posts where I discourage the use of supplements every chance I get.

  • Scooby i have a treadmill and a BOWFLEX home gym. Do you recommend using the bowflex? and do you think it actually gives you good results? I do 20-30 minutes of cardio each day well almost (i might take a break one day). Thanks

  • I wouldnt recommend buying the bowflex because its really expensive and takes up lots of room. A used weight set is a fraction of the cost, just as versatile (or more so) and can be put in the bottom of your closet. Bowflex is a fine piece of exercise equipment though, certainly use it if you have it!

  • i do what u told me to do on Monday, weds,Friday.

But on thursday n tuesday i stay after school to do weight lifting...is that good

  • Nope, sorry. You need cardio 7 days a week if you want to lose the fat.

  • You can lose weight with that amount of cardio, but you will closely have to watch your diet. The more cardio you do, the more extra energy you burn. The less cardio you do, the less you can eat.

Search the net for the "Hacker's Diet" - it outlines how energy consumption works.

  • I WANT THAT SHIRT XD

  • You can order your own shirt from cafepress! There is a link on my website on the Misc>AboutMe page

  • lol scooby are you gonna sell those shirts? I WANT ONE!

  • You can order your own shirt from cafepress! There is a link on my website on the Misc>AboutMe page

  • Hi, I've been on a diet, and so far have lost 30 pounds. I'm eating healthily, and I go to the gym three times a week. But, I'm honestly confused when it comes to abs. I know abs are made in the kitchen, not the gym, but what ab workouts should I do if I want to have a nice six-pack when I get to a good weight for me? Anybody who has an answer, not just Scooby, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you all in advance.

  • Check Scooby's site under Exercises > Abdominal Exercises.

Basically, the crunch is king. You can already exercise your abs while losing weight and they will get stronger and bigger. You just won't see them until your bodyfat gets to around 7%.

  • Scooby and Evilcyber thank you for your advice I got six pack abs after only one month of listening your advice. Thanks to you now I have an excellent six pack abs that all the girls like, and I'm performing better in Judo too...

  • wow, so it does work? how many did you do to start off? 200 sit ups? or more? how often did u increase?

  • Works very fast!!! I did crunches, not sit ups because I heard sit ups cause lower back injuries, and they're not 100% ab workout. First I started with 350 crunches, then increased but I didn't get any results (I wasn't fat btw), Scooby said it's much better to do crunches with weight if I want six pack. After only 4 weeks I got excellent six pack abs!! All the girls love it!

  • weird because this vid has only been up for 3 days -_-

  • This video has nothing to do with the six pack, I was talking about advice I got from Scooby more than a month ago... What are you talking about? I never even mentioned this video...

  • Cool! Congrats on your progress!

  • I agree 100%!

  • im a teenager who hasnt got the smallest amount of fat so i just need to focus on the muscle building side of it i think

  • Consider yourself fortunate if you have zero bodyfat!!!! Makes your job easier because most people have to start out by getting rid of fat. Especially important for people like you with naturally no bodyfat is NUTRITION! When you start doing heavy resistance training to add muscle you must make sure that you eat 5-6 small, well-balanced meals a day each with 15-25g protein. Skip that step and you will really hinder your ability to add muscle.

  • ye thanks ill keep it in mind

the nutrition is probly the hardest part for me i eat a lot of crap lol

i eat protein in most my meals im not sure if it is the right amount but some is better than nothing i suppose

  • man you're great!!! LOL

  • scooby's the fuckin mannnnnn!!!!

  • do lat pull downs and pull ups have the same effect?

  • Yes, lat pull downs have the same effect as the assisted pullups I show here. If you have access to a cable setup, certainly use it. I need to show how to do this at home though as that is the focus of this workout.

  • Maaan Scooby youre awesome... I do Kung Fu.. But i always watch your Videos and i do some of your Exersices.. Thanks so much.. I do normal Push ups everyday.. But i also do pushup while i do a handstand.. Do you think is that better than Normal push up ? and for which muscles are they effective ?

  • Handstand pushups work mostly the deltoids. It also works a bit of the upper chest if it's like a handstand pushup slightly angled against, say, a wall. IMO, handstand pushups work the same as a military press. Same motions for the most part.

  • Tazz2006 answered you question well, I just wanted to add that it sounds like you are pretty advanced in the martial arts. The physical goals in martial arts are different than in traditional bodybuilding so dont follow my advice :) The basic reason is that in MA, speed is #1. Speed (accleration)is equal to force(strength) over mass (bodyweight). In MA, any exercise you do has to increase your strength faster than it adds muscle or you get slower. Thats why your master suggests daily pups

  • ThX for your Reply Scooby your great... I will train in traditional Kung Fu way and do my push ups and pull ups and of course crunches...

  • Scooby, you are the man- thanks for posting all your vids, you truly are an inspiration with your selfless giving of time, knowledge and motivation. Thanks again for helping a folks to change their lives for themselves in a very real, practical way without the 'need for machines'. Brilliant.

    Cheers, M.
