a simple d flip flop does the same thing, but it is much smaller and faster (= no offense ... go to the minecraftwiki and search for dflipflop, i always use design F (i think it is F :D anyway, use the smallest (: )
I built this by hand and it's not working. I don't want to use MCEdit because I heard it has a virus, I know, I know, not all downloads are infected. I'm thinking it may be the .exe itself. Can you please help me with this? I go to hold, then I flip my bits to 1 and then release, and nothing happens. It stays on 0. Then when I manually switch it to 1, hold, flip to 0 and release, it continues to burn at 1 bit. Help?
what are cpu's in minecraft even for? Calculating? Make them just for fun? I don't know what the point of a cpu in minecraft, what would you store? Its just wires .. :\
@Puffsmeal i understand vertical d flip flops but they dont connect, do they? i understand how you would connect the inputs like he showed, but where do you connect the wires on the side, or do you even need to
@sakon183 I just did. 1/4 the space and 8bit. Full cycler with 3bit decoders and t-flipflops for setting RAM(not ROM!) banks from one set of switches. 4 operations. Don't hate on this guy
When I hook up the clock to the register the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th outputs blink on and off. Will this affect the register in any way? If so, how do I fix it?
Ive a noob question the 3th input in the alu is with a lever. Is that normal or is there normaly also a input form the register like the others(0,1,2)? And another question for what ist the clock?
@mrdederi for a steady clock, you can use a minecart that loops around using booster rails and a detector rail for the output. You can extend your rail for a longer pulse.
I have watched your video and studied you schematics extensively but I can never change the output of any of the registers. Do you hvae any idea what could be going wrong?
Although your register does what we want it to do, its unnecessarily large. I've built an 8bit register half that size and a 3x3bit (9bit) register half that size, the 9bit is on my channel and the 8bit will be on it soon
Why is it still working when I switch clock input and "release/hold" input?

If you connect all the inputs together would'nt all the inputs be the same? Or is it supposed to be that way? sry if i'm such a noob

Is'nt this a d flip flop?
Oh i guess some of you guys answered it already. nvm.

2:32 this is a d flip flop? if sou should go minepedia and look a smaller d flip flop
because I can put 5 smaller one into that...and one more thing can I build a machine that can change inputs itself that would be CRAZY!! :D

@Wh3nSharxByte Bullsh*t, MCedit is a fine piece of software (in case you haven't discovered that already)

@lolwut4211 If I remember correctly, RAM is made out of lots of registers
MrVijfhoek 4 months ago
Well I had troubles with that one (by hand), but a D-FF does exactly the same and is much smaller...
ThatHUTattedOnMyArm 5 months ago
So is this basically RAM?
lolwut4211 5 months ago
i've just done it on normal RS NOR. they are smaller than this (i need 100bits)

Ohhhhhhhhh... It's actually a very big D flip-flop. It's easier and smaller to make a bunch of vertical d flip-flops.
