Yeh shoulda went stand up...I was a wrestler at the time and not used to people jumping in. I was young and an idiot. My advice stand up anytime you get into a street fight  You never know who is around

Yeh well I got into a fight with a gangbanger tryin rip out a girl's car stereo. Double leg, smooth take down transition to armbar (ended up finishing it).He had 2 friends I didn't see. Caught a tire Iron in the front and back of my head. Now I'm half deaf and got a metal plate in my head...No more MMA for me. Lesson---Never take someone to the ground in a street fight unless your positive your not gonna die. Just tellin you

only if your one on one and u know no one will jump in then take ur opponent down cuz if ur opponent has a friend watching then he will most likely jump in

You have to be very aggressive in a street fight, cause if you get taken down on the streets, you can easy break a bone. Submission is great for 1 on 1, but be careful he doesn't have a friend, a kick in the face can knock you out and you can wake up with a lot more things broken.

I think it depends on the situation. I mean what if your in a street fight, you gonna submit all your opponents? But off course in a 1on1 submission is the way to go.

of course why not doing a submission in a street fight imagine taking a guy down on the asfalt half the job is done just there since he will probably feel alot of pain,, then just doing a kimura or heel lock( not completeing it unless necessary )on the guy and when he screams his ass off u let go,, then stand up and i garantee he will run away and not look back

I got in a fight a little while ago... two-leg takedown, got topmount, he turned a little to fend a punch and I rolled him into a rear-mounted naked choke (That name varies a lot?) And he passed out. so yeah, you can streetfight with submissions.
