Interesting theory, but no. You see the gun he has is a Franchi SPAS-12, I have one as well. That particular shotgun has a switch to either semi-auto or pump. I can fire it from my hip with no little recoil. This is a hollywood movie, keep in mind, so the drama is more gripping when he goes slow and in stages to bring back the folding stock. Oh and by the way, that gun is banned in the U.S. so if you want to find 1, youll have to be prepared to spend a pretty penny from a private seller.

You can't just shoot it at a raptor to kill it. It's one of the fastest dino's in reflexes so you would be lucky even on hit it more than twice one semi-auto.

I'd be freaking slow too and make I hit the eyes or the jugular vein.

If you watched this movie in the theater (like I did) then you should remember that the Robert Muldoon death scene (hunting the raptor) was changed from the theater version to the dvd. why ? in the theater muldoon fired his shot and held the raptor off with his shotgun then some how pushed the raptor off and ran thou a open field where the raptor jumped on his back and killed him (does anyone else remember this death scene ?) message Me if you do !!!!
