The range depends on how low or how high you can sing. Also, you can choose to play as trumpet in C, Eb or F if you have this need

You sing into the "trumpet" and it will be picked up by the microphone and amplified into a sound of your choosing.

You have to press the correct valve combination for the right pitch (you sing) before it will make the right sound for you. So, good to use to pracitse the pitch of the notes, the fingering without getting too tired with the chops.
