  • Great viewpoint of these important issues.I feel the same way.The problem is that people want cheap goods, and they'll go to extremes to get it.Asda & Tesco are choc full of families doing their shopping.Mass people wont go the local Coop as its overpriced; people on a budget cant afford it.The likes of ASDA & Tesco practically sell nearly everything from TVs to garden furniture. This will make people go to them as its a place where they can get everything conveniently.

  • @systemanic Hi, thanks for the comment. Unfortunately the big retail corporations can always undercut the small businesses so it does take a financial commitment on the part of the ethical shopper. However most people buy too much things anyway and don't use a lot of what they buy, so along with going to different shops most of us would need to purchase more efficiently.

  • @benthejrporter holy nostrils batman.

  • @Omegahybridx That's what the Pope's got! LOL

  • That's a long way to go to the off-licence Ben. Seriously though, companies like Tesco are taking over our shops like some kind of Corporate Nazi's. For Nisa read Nasa read Nazi. Good points Ben.

  • @philipsmovies Thanks, Philip. I'd definitely walk a couple of extra hundred yards to buy ethical wine and beer.

  • Great vid and some very good points made ,-)

    Thank you

  • @MsFuturestar1 Thanks, MsF

  • have you seen in asda they make their staff stand with giant hands and point to empty isles. as if the customer cant see that they are empty in the first place.

  • @222gemini There's another shop to add to my list of those to avoid. It must be deliberate humiliation to break the human spirit!

  • your diet coke aspartame vid still pops into my head on occasions, it makes me chuckle....when i look at the coke bottles in the fridge at the shops i just think of you convulsing like a mad man....we are in the craziest of days, thanks for your vids, truthfully!!!

  • @motiondemons You're welcome, MD. Glad you like them. I still get the occasional Aspartame flashback and feel my eyes twitching.

  • Classic post, cheers matey!

  • The problem here is you have Lidl, Aldi & Tesco, then rip off merchants like Spar & Londis (€4 for 500 ml of cream!!) and local shops that are shit, have no choice & rip you off. Where do you go? I went to Tesco today because I have no choice, I don't want to go but the shops here are shit!!

  • @AZUREGLIDE Sorry there are no good ones near you, AG. Hope you find some soon.

  • They have taken over my village too. we had butchers, bakers, cobblers, 5 pubs. now we have 2 pubs, and a COOP and Tescos next door to each other. sodding New World Order

  • @61shirley It's a shame. Tescos have just put local shops in Biceaster, Oxon, out of buisiness. If you have to choose the lesser of two evils then go to Coop. It's run on better grounds than Tescos. Hopefully you'll get a branch of NISA soon.

  • I worked in Sainsbury's once for a few months, and I was extremely unhappy and unsatisfied but NOT because how Sainsbury's was treating me (not bad actually, I have to admit). It was the customers. Most of them don't say thank you and they treat you like shit if you work in Sainsbuyr's because they associate that with "stupid people". I have a HUGE respect for people who work. Actually I respect the toilet cleaner MORE than a politician. I must correct myslef: I don't respect politicians at all.

  • @Soralella71 Which would we miss the most if they weren't there? Politicians or cleaners? I'm thinking of writing a spoof/adaptation of Ayn Rand's "Atlas Shrugged" in which the cleaners and service labourers stop work.

  • It is a policy to make but - Give your money to who desearves it!

If you don't you get what you desearve.

  • @GrumpSkull I hope I can have both, GS.

  • That made le laugh - nailed my style perfectly!.

As for the issues you raise in this video you are spot on - the world is getting smaller and quality is being murdered in the name of quantity. I agree with you on this videos issues 100%. great vid!

  • @slaxxxer ME*
