Argueably the best driver of all time in, undeniabley the greatest sports racing car of all time. Great role model!!!! So proud Porsche trusted him to pilot the greatest race car of all time in it's first season. SO PROUD!!!!!
se nace para volar en las pistas y volverse leyenda a pesar de todo sin importar si es en seco o en lluvia , en 24 hrs de lemans arrancnaod de noche y lluvia copiaso llegar 80 kilometros antes que el segundo lugar lo dice todo
thx, i've never saw him, I'm proud he was mexican =), very good GT driver, a shame he died so young, and his brother too, I think Ricardo could be World Champion
It's from a video i have about the 1970 sports car season. It basically follows the JW Gulf Porsche team around the championship season. It had a few snippets of Pedro talking so i just merged them together to make this clip.
Humm....Rodriguez was great both with F1 and sport cars but I remember he wasn't happy
at all sharing the car with Kinnunen, who had to drive costantly with Pedro's pers.setup,a way far from his own style.I wonder how could Pedro share a car with an equally fast and
famous mate...!May be he wanted to challenge
so as to prove himself. Not really suitable in long term races.
Hi mate, i uploaded it from a video called 'The Gulf/Wyer GT40's and 917's in Action'. Half of it is pretty much a review of the 1970 world sportscar season.
Everything he said i've put on and i think he was talking about the BOAC 1000KM mainly because it was such an amazing victory for him.
One of my favourite drivers ever and probably the best Mexico has produced along with Ricardo!
One of the greatest pairings of car and driver ever, the Porsche 917 and Pedro Rodriguez.

Check out the new video I uploaded. It's Jenson Button and Lewis Hamilton in the McLaren garage.

Very rare interview indeed, but quite impressive quotations from someone who is cheered as undefeatable in wet circuses!

Pedro Rodriguez was a fabulous driver.
I see him one time : it was in 1969 during the race "1000 kms de Paris" on Montlhery track... he was driving a Matra 630/650 with Brian Redman.
They finished second. That was probably the only time, Pedro drove a Matra !!
in 1970, Pedro won the belgium F1 GP at Spa under the rain.
Pedro was probably the best ever driver under the rain. (Chris Amon, 2nd at Spa, told "why nobody said Pedro it's raining ?)

Pedro and Seppi Siffert were two of a kind. Great F1 as well as sportscar drivers - such a shame they died so prematurely!

Hi mate, oh yeah i forgot about Solana. I don't know too much about him except he used to compete in the Mexican GP and did quite well in 67.
It's a shame he didn't do more outside America.
