Great song, it's even more moving in concert. Every time we go under a tornado warning or in a PDA I listen to christian music and I feel safe and comfortable. Coincidence? I think not. I don't feel scared. Live or die I'm in a win/win situation. Thanks for this video Mdun. <3
I just saw the storm story for this tornado it was so sad that something like that could happen i just wish there was more you all could have done. I hope the rebuilding is coming along
this is sad cuz i used to live there and some of my friends lived there when the tornado came through... Where our house used to be there is just a concrete slab... :'(
i luv this song i was there a month after it happened and there wasnt really anything done yet. We saw a fire truck with a 2x4 shoved through the light bar! It was cool but sad all at the saame time.
My worst nightmare: being in a tornado, especially at night, especially since there are no underground shelters where I live. Then again, He is with me through the storms. =] My strength, my shelter is His arms. Powerful video/song, five stars.
I see the good, honest hard working people of Greensburg and their families and I have to ask God 'WHY"?? Why this town, Lord? Why these people? I'm sure the folks in this town have asked the same question, many times. We may never understand.
i live about 3 1/2 hours for Greensburg and i think that this video gives all of this thing a lot of justice! Espesically this song! I went to go help clean up with my cousins and they got allergies really bad but that was my favorite thing that i have ever done!
I live about 2 hours from Greensburg. Three weeks after the tornado hit I went to go help with clean up. It was probably the worst day of my life, just from all the bugs and dirt, allergies, frog!, ticks-Everything. But I'm so glad I did it. We passed a house-one of the few standing-and where a chuck of siding was missing someone had written in paint "Jesus Saves" It may have been the coolest thing I've ever seen.
amazing. I am from Greensburg. Its terrible to think that something that horrible could happen. But it taught me so many positive life lessons and to not take things for granted. Thanks for the tribute, it means a lot of us from Greensburg!
wow this is an amazing video!!!! living in kansas can be horrifying!!! that you sooo much for showing how this horrible disaster has hurt everyone in Greensburg!!! and plz know that everyone in kansas will always remeber that day......
God Bless those who died in the Greensburg, Kansas tornado!!!
I remember reading about the tornado that went through Hoisington in 2001. Seeing the path it took was abit frightening. I grew up in Great Bend and used to drive to Hoisington (used to have relatives in that town) all the time.
But, the Hoisington tornado pales in comparison to Greensburg. I think that same tornado/storm that hit Greensburg also threatened Great Bend.
wow this is great. i always think about greenburg i hope the best 4 the people there i am going to spend my springbreak there helping rebuild and clean up whats left. GO GREENSBURG!
Great tribute video. My family and I lived in nearby Haviland where I attended College (Barclay). We shopped in Greensburg often and our forth child was born at their small hospitol. God Bless all the people and I wish to thank them for the kindness they showed to family from N.Carolina!
I saw this video not long after the tornado. My husband and I are from Greensburg. This video has truly captured the devastation, but also the hope. We are a resilient people and we will make it. God will help us rebuild our lives, He has already began. We lost our house and a majority of our belongings, but our 2 dogs survived with minor scratches and the house was ripped from over their heads. God truly was present as our large family survived unhurt in various locations.
Greensburg and it's people will rise up again!! We are a nation of amazing people, who never ever let things like this keep us down!! Many years ago I used to visit Mullinsville, and Greensburg, my heart is forever sadden at the loss of such a wonderful town. The old may be gone, but she will be built back again, wonderful as ever!! God bless
I lived in Greensburg 1st through 8th grade. Went to school with Mike Sutton (he's in one of those photos). The community is in my thoughts and prayers.
Micah ~ What an AWESOME video!!! I worked in Greensburg for almost 8 years with your mom at ICHD and it makes me so sad to see the town so broken, but definitely not defeated ~ with God strength everyone has pulled together. Thanks again! 3beezmom
A beautiful video. Thank You. I was in Greensburg this weekend helping with clean-up and recovery. I will continue to pray for everyone. I also pray that we all remember that Greensburg needs our help now and will for a long time to come. With everyones help we can bring this community back together. These towns are the heart and soul of our state.
What ever reason you felt compelled to make the video you did an awesome job sweetheart! It is up on the dedication page too.
myspace(dot)com(backslash)greensburg_tornadovictims I talked to your mother today she sounds like a very sweetwoman... I do know now who you are ... Tell her Miss anonymous says ty for all she is doing also... lol ... it means the world to me!
Great video! I live in St. Marys KS and travel through Greensburg at least twice every month. You are all in my prayers and as soon as I get home I plan to get some friends together and see if we can do anything to help.
I am from Greensburg and made this video for therapeutic reasons more than anything else. I grew up on the west side of town. My childhood home is still there but now has a large sunroof. I'm one of the Neill Unruh clan.
Are u from Greensburg too? There are quite a few unruhs i grew up with there. My kids wanted to make a page dedicated to this tradgedy their Grandpa lost his home entirely and his business too. We are putting one together on myspace we would like to invite everyone to view it and add if you would like. I think this is the perfect video to also post on it , so thank you very much for it.
Astounding and very well put together video, from using actual photo footage of the real greensburg tradgedy to the music. I went to school with Mr. Goodheart , West & Sutton all shown in those pics. And I had inteneded to be in greensburg that eve but by the grace of God was running later then planned. My Children and I was trapped for hours in a neighboring county though. My family was in this Tornado and everything I have seen On video I could never bare in person ... Thank you for this!
