Suzuki, who was one of the first people to begin translating and authoring zen texts in English, he aimed more at helping western acidemic circles understand the history and un-philosophy of zen (1870-1966). S Susuki lived later (1907-1971) and was more of a zen teacher for lay students.

love buddhsim for the middle way. anti extremism which is rampant today. even in the buddhist community i see ppl getting into one upsman by knowing all the right pali terms. or dressing in bed sheets. i cud be catty bout it but then i catch myself! dont be a dick. thats good buddhist philosophy i think.
