I am in a programme called ParaScouts (a Junior Parachute training programme for kids 13+). There are 3 ranks. Cadet, Lance-Corporal and Jumpmaster (aka First Lieutenant). As a Lance-Corporal, I recieved my M14 last week (I'm on leave right now) for the jumps. I CANNOT wait until I can jump in with that thing over my shoulder with 20 rounds of blank rock'n'roll in a single punch.

Haha, definitely not... I fire bolt action rifles with rounds larger than 7.62x51NATO and they barely kick.

Yeah, only this isn't a bolt action rifle.. The difference in recoil is the giant chunk of metal moving back and forth, chambering the rounds, THAT adds alot to recoil
