The Communist Party CCP does not believe in God, nor does it even respect physical nature. Battle with heaven, fight with the earth, struggle with humans— therein lies endless joy. This was the
motto of the CCP during the Cultural Revolution. Great suffering was inflicted on the Chinese people and the land.
World News Briefs; Dalai Lama Group Says It Got Money From C.I.A.
Dalai Lama's administration acknowledged today that it received $1.7 million a year in the 1960's from the Central Intelligence Agency, but denied reports that the Tibetan leader benefited personally from an annual subsidy of $180,000.
I think most Zang ethnic minorities (Tibetans) activists, living outside of their motherland, China and a small number inside China, including a small minority of Western sympathisers have realized that they have lost a lot of respect in the International Communities today. The disruptions of the Olympic Torch, The Beijing Games, The riots in Lhasa, Xizang (Tibet) province of China in March 2008, and many other disruptive demonstrations had been condemn by people worldwide. Peace to the world.

The Dalai Lama's administration acknowledged today that it received $1.7 million a year in the 1960's from the Central Intelligence Agency, but denied reports that the Tibetan leader benefited personally from an annual subsidy of $180,000.
The money allocated for the resistance movement was spent on training volunteers and paying for guerrilla operations against the Chinese, the Tibetan government-in-exile said in a statement.
The chinese communist party (CCP) has been looting, torturing, killing and doing all sorts of other nasty stuff, like forced sterilisation (without anaesthetic), in Tibet for about 60 years.
Time for CCP to leave Tibet and pay its debts.

"[Tibet] is entirely closed & witnesses unimaginable things. In March 2008, 20,000 people disappeared with no trace during the upraising in Tibet. Individuals attempting to escape over the border are being shot like in a shooting-range.
We saw filmed material & photos taken out by refugees of Tibet. If a shown to a wider audience, all worldwide human rights institutions would unanimously respond to this crime against humanity."
In China, if you are not subjected to infanticide, the sex trade, slave-like labor conditions - and if you do not commit suicide - you still have a good chance of dying of pollution. Each year 2-3 million babies are born with evident malformations and another 8-12 million manifest malformations during the first years of life. Why should we be happy and complacent about the 2008 Beijing Olympics?
Let's take a look back. just as in 1936 at the Berlin Olympics in Germany, nobody minds participating in such an important international event. The countries that took part in that event later regretted the mistake they had made. Why should we be happy and complacent about the 2008 Beijing Olympics?
Tibet is Asia's most important freshwater source, while China is one of the planet's most arid regions. And maybe we can add the sense of domination, which dictators usually seem to enjoy.
Stop western media distortion, stop western style violence and stop attacking the peaceful olympic torch, stop lousy political act, this series of violent protests and riots make us clear who are destroying our chinese peaceful hope and olympic spirit. Now you western let us know your the false faces and we'll remember them from you forever. We chinese will never forget what you have done to all chinese. such as:distortion, attack, historical trespass, arrogant behavior and violience
Anyone who expresses opinions "hostile to the Chinese government" on the internet concerning Tibet, the Falun Gong or any other "sensitive" issues is at risk of intrusion, control, espionage. Those who post on blogs, visit sites such as UnmadeInChina, write on forums... Anyone and everyone may be potentially "of interest" and the littlest thing may cause this army of cyber-spies to seek to know more about them.
Aung San Suu Kyi won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1991. In 1990 the party she led, The National League for Democracy, won the parliamentary elections in Burma (with 85% of the vote), but the military junta refused to turn over the government and placed her under house arrest. She has now spent 12 of the last 18 years under house arrest.
Washington: On Monday, December 17, the U.S. Congress unanimously voted to confer the Congressional Gold Medal, the highest civil honor, to the pro-democratic leader of Burma Aung San Suu Kyi. This honor is a message to the Burman military leaders, who have completely suppressed political freedom in their 20 years in power. With this message they desire to pressure the junta for her release and the return of peace and democracy to the people of Burma
The world communities of conscience condemn Than Shwe for abjectly leaving the cyclone victims to die and rot and starve, while he tends to his portly, well fed ego. It is believed well over 100,000 have perished in Burma from the cyclone and many thousands more from neglect by the government which has stonewalled, delayed, disorganized and also prevented well equiped and expert rescue teams from outside Burma to come to the aid of the poor suffering Burmese.
DER SPIEGEL: In 1948, the year of independence, Burma was the richest country in Southeast Asia.
Aung: While 40 percent of government expenditures went to the military and the intelligence agencies, only 4.5 percent remained for healthcare and education... The generals have deposited a lot of money illegally into accounts in Europe and especially Singapore. This is why the US sanctions are so painful to them. It's become difficult for them to get to their money now.
According to China's National Population and Family Planning Commission, malformations at birth in China have increased by 40% in the year 2001. Each year, circa 5% of babies are born with defects and of these, 30% do not survive. The same official source attributes the cause for this to the increase in environmental degradation, in addition to poverty and malnutrition.
Soe Aung: Political oppression, combined with economic decline, has become unbearable for most Burmese. Many Burmese can now afford only one meal a day. Every third child is malnourished and the healthcare system is on the brink of collapse. Day laborers take their cooking utensils to the pawnshop before they go to work. In the evening, when they return home with a few kyat in their pockets and a small amount of food, they retrieve their utensils so that they can cook a meal.
The Chinese ruling class has founded the country's development on blood, pain and the suffering of a population which is totally deprived of all human rights.
A regime founded on horror and terror has torn away all humanity from its own people who have become the slaves of so called economic growth.
THE SOLUTION: BOYCOTT THE OLYMPICS, BOYCOTT CHINESE PRODUCTS!
The Chinese method of destroying a nation and culture included the infiltration, through strategically placed routes.Of course the Chinese method included lies. Their propaganda did not show the deaths, the hunger, the terror, the torture, the rape. It did not show that the Chinese "cultural revolution" resulted in one million deaths!
THE SOLUTION : BOYCOTT THE OLYMPICS , BOYCOTT CHINESE PRODUCTS!
This question was already the subject of a shocking investigation made by the British daily "The Guardian" in 2004. They not only discovered the macabre utilization of fetuses in the Chinese cosmetic industry (in particular in the production of anti-wrinkle creams) -- they also discovered the practice of extracting collagen from the skin of the dead bodies of prisoners condemned to death.
Statement against oppression and injustice in Myanmar
We urge the international community, particularly China, Russia and India who have influence in Myanmar, to use it on the Burmese government to secure basic democratic freedoms and to ensure the protection of human rights. In addition, we echo the appeals for the release of our colleague, Nobel Laureate for Peace, Mrs. Aung San Suu Kyi, who has led the Burmese people's non-violent struggle for democracy.
Statement against oppression and injustice in Myanmar We, the undersigned Nobel Laureates, are outraged by the human rights situation in Myanmar. Expressing our solidarity with the Burmese people, we denounce the oppressive rule of the junta government. Moreover, we condemn the ongoing violent repression of the Buddhist monks and other protesters, whose peaceful demonstrations against the government have, according to news reports, resulted in thousands of arrests, severe injuries and deaths.
isn't it a bit hard to believe that Chinese authorities know nothing about such a devastating earthquake?
The only question remaining is this: will the whole truth come to light by accident, or will individuals from the bureaucratic machine risk everything to let the world know this truth - the Chinese dictatorship cares nothing about the vast majority of Chinese people.
Roberto Saviano has begun his first work "Gomorra," a book in which the author is always present and in which he offers his direct testimony of the facts and misdeeds of a Naples "poisoned" by the Camorra System and its dramatic ramifications all over the world. "(it) occupies an ever-expanding gray area, in which it is difficult to distinguish how much profit is blood money and how much is produced by simple financial operations."
3. How much attention do you think you can still get after the Olympics making protests outside of Tibet? People will be tired of your causes soon the major world event is done in Beijing.
Questions to Tibetans who really want a "Free Tibet":
1. Do you really believe that Dalai is the right leader since he always claims that he doesn't want an independent Tibet and calls himself a Chinese? Perhaps you need another leader who believes what you believe?
2. Do you really believe that you can get a free Tibet by staying outside of Tibet? No matter how loud a dog barks on this side of river, it will never bites into the flesh of the enemies on the other side.
...U.N. estimates that only 20% of those in need have received "rudimentary aid." Western governments, terrified that aid will be cut off entirely, are toning down their criticisms of the military regime.
At this moment circa 2.5 million people are clinging for survival in the Irrawaddy delta. They are in desperate need of clean water, food, shelter and medical care. They are dying.
More than 2 weeks after Cyclone Nargis, Than Shwe and friends have decided to allow its South Asian neighbors to send medical personnel and an assessment team into Burma, in order to appease the continuing international outcry.Just enough of a concession to avoid being invaded for the mass murder they are in the process of committing...
"The container was oscillating while the crane was loading it on the ship. As if it was floating in the air, the sprider -- the mechanism that hooks the container to the crane -- could not control the rocking. The carelessly closed doors opened abruptly and dozens of bodies dropped out. They looked like manikins. But, once landed, heads would crush like real skulls (...) They were the un-dying Chinese. Passport-swapping eternal beings."
Thus Roberto Saviano begins his first book "Gomorra".
As we have already pointed out, isn't it a bit hard to believe that Chinese authorities know nothing about such a devastating earthquake?
The only question remaining is this: will the whole truth come to light by accident, or will individuals from the bureaucratic machine risk everything to let the world know this truth - the Chinese dictatorship cares nothing about the vast majority of Chinese people.
"In 2006 Chinese authorities admitted that 95% of the organs used in the 13,000 transplants were provided by executed prisoners. I have gathered and divulgated the testimonies of Chinese doctors involved in that traffic as well as the testimonies of patients who knew that their lives had been saved by the kidneys or the hearts of a person who had been condemned to death. The evidence can be found in Traffici di morte, the book realized by my foundation." (Harry Wu)
...The recent "Strike Hard" anti-crime campaign has enlisted the judiciary further in the campaign against "splittism." Many Tibetans, particularly political detainees, are deprived of even elementary safeguards of due process.
A primary stated goal of the justice system in the TAR is the repression of Tibetan opposition to Chinese rule. A judiciary subservient to Communist Party dictates results in abuses of human rights in all of China, but in Tibet the problem is particularly severe due to China's campaign against Tibetan nationalism...
In forty years, most Tibetan wildlife has been destroyed and much of the forest has been cut, watersheds and hillslopes eroded and downstream flooding heightened. The most extensive environmental impact of Chinese practice is the widespread degradation of the rangelands, resulting in desertification of large areas capable until recently of sustaining both wild and domestic herds.
Guess to some it is a good karma that Tibet belongs to China while others think otherwise. Don't know what Dalai Lama thinks? He calls himself a Chinese and that puzzles me..
Human Rights Watch: Burma, Donor States Must Monitor Aid 2
Simply dropping aid off at Rangoon airport under the control of the abusive and ill-equipped Burmese military will not necessarily help victims of the cyclone. Some supplies have already been diverted, Human Rights Watch said, adding that humanitarian aid deliveries need to be independently monitored to ensure that assistance is given to those most in need.
Human Rights Watch: Burma, Donor States Must Monitor Aid 1
Countries delivering relief aid to Burma should insist on monitoring to ensure aid reaches the cyclone victims most in need and to prevent the military government from seizing it, Human Rights Watch said today.
Today it is possible to get rich, but only if you at least verbally pretend to accept everything the Party does." In his opinion, the Olympic Games "will reinforce the regime." He says "journalists won't be able to speak to Chinese people because any unauthorized contact with a foreigner can be punished with accusations of espionage, betrayal and/or disclosure of State secrets."
After being freed (1979) he went to the United States to try to forget, but the events of Tienanmen didn't allow him to. He began to write books, tell his story and secretly film the labor fields in China. His reports speak of arrested persons who accuse themselves: "Nobody says what they really think, they all say what the Party wants them to say.
The Chinese snake speaks out against the American eagle! The "humble" Chinese officials declare that they have created "one of the safest places in the world" for themselves and for their boat that is "sinking the water" (the Chinese people and... other peoples as well). The Chinese Communist government is the winner of the #1 spot on the list of history's democides. Their practices are similar to those of the Führer's Oberkommando, they are merciless inhuman dictators, masters of deceit!
slaves? lol you mean urself, a slave to the western media. I never said people shouldn't express their opinions freely, but the case is different with China. The culture itself is connected to its political system, and no I don't doubt there are many social problems in China, but what you failed to see is China is progressing, everything takes time. It took America one century and a half to present equal rights to the African Americans, so are you saying there is human rights issues in the US?
Chinese goods are dangerous - Cancer-causing and/or of poor quality, Chinese goods are conquering a tragic monopoly in most international markets. They have come under fire and massive recalls have taken place in various countries. Products ranging from toys to toothpaste have been discovered to be toxic.
lol, then boycott the Chinese Goods, no one said you shouldn't do so, and yet I haven't seen anyone doing it, and the Chinese Economy is still on the raise, thanks a lot for your information, they are really helpful, especially where I can counter every single point you make.
Wu, who grew up in a middle class family, went to Bejing to study. There he was convinced to freely express his opinions during Mao's "Hundred Flowers Campaign." His reward was 19 years of horror in the laogai: "I managed to survive by turning myself into an animal." Despite this long period of "reform" he feels only compassion for those who denounced him and declares: "the only revenge I desire is the end of the Communist system in China."
"No one in the room showed any interest for Chen's death (...). It seemed like it was possible to destroy a human being easily, as if it was a thin sheet of paper (...). I started thinking about myself. What was my life worth?"
These are the words of Harry Wu, who spent 19 years in Mao Zedong's laogai to be "reform through labor."
DENIAL is the eighth stage that always follows a genocide. It is among the surest indicators of further genocidal massacres. The perpetrators of genocide dig up the mass graves, burn the bodies, try to cover up the evidence and intimidate the witnesses. They deny that they committed any crimes, and often blame what happened on the victims. They block investigations of the crimes, and continue to govern until driven from power by force, when they flee into exile.
POLARIZATION: Extremists drive the groups apart. Hate groups broadcast polarizing propaganda
IDENTIFICATION: Victims are identified and separated out because of their ethnic or religious identity.
EXTERMINATION begins, and quickly becomes the mass killing legally called "genocide." It is "extermination" to the killers because they do not believe their victims to be fully human.
In the following years, the Chinese government repeatedly violated the articles of the treaty, transforming Tibet into one of its colonies. Between 1954 and 1959, in the Eastern regions of Tibet and especially in the Kham region, the resistance movements arose, which were quickly crushed by the Chinese government through a series of violent repressions...
In November 1950, the Dalai Lama, then fifteen years old, took over the temporal and spiritual leadership of Tibet. In May 1951, he sent a delegation to Beijing to begin negotiations with the Chinese invaders. The result of this meeting was that the Tibetan representatives were forced to sign the Chinese government's so-called "Seventeen-Point Plan for the Peaceful Liberation of Tibet."...
In 1949, Mao Zedong's newly-founded "People's" Republic began to claim Tibet as an integral part of its territory. In October 1950 the Chinese army entered Khan, a Western Tibetan province, and infiltrated its troops into Amdo, a North-Eastern region....
China holds a great part of the responsibility for the government repression in Burma. The military junta takes orders from Beijing, which obviously cannot encourage democracy in Burma, as that could raise questions about democracy in China itself. China is also involved in Sudan, and so supports the genocide in Darfur.China's multibillion dollar investments in Sudan's oil industry are vital to its booming economy.
China makes Hitler look like a nice guy.....They have instigated more human tragedy than any other country in the world. When will they learn compassion?
Xizang is always a part of China. And if you want learn China more,Please come to china to have a see,and than,I think you will change your idea about China.THE FACT ALWAYS THE TRUTH
Tibet is an independent state under illegal occupation
China is engaged in the cultural genocide of the Tibetan people. The Chinese government has constructed a railway across the Tibetan plateau which leads to Tibet's capital, Lhasa. There are increasing numbers of Chinese immigrants in Tibet, resulting in the further militarization of the region and an increase in the exploitation of Tibet's natural and mineral resources.
so ok...you pointed it out..and then what. They are still going to do whatever it's best for them for the government. You are sitting in front of your computer typing all that, and yet you aren't really don't much but living in your own little world. If you are so good at analyzing, why don't you start taking some actions.
I mean you say all that shit, but have you been to Tibet? If there is a genocide in Tibet, why is the population more than doubled since 1959. The literacy rate now in Tibet is 90% from the 10% in 1959. Tibet today is occupied by 92% Tibetans, and only 8% Hans. Chinese immigrants? lol, the word Chinese refers to the 56 ethnic groups that you are talking about, it doesn't just refer to Han people, plus there are many of them who are currently living in the Sichuan province.
China's brutal one-child policy - The one-child policy continues to be carried out against popular will. Despite official denials, coercion continues to be, as it has been from the late 1970's, an integral part of the program.
Mandatory IUD insertions, sterilizations, abortions, and infanticide, in which lethal chemicals are injected into a baby's brain, continue
so this one-child policy huh. well, im the only child and im fine, i don't see what's so bad about it. But you see, when your country has the largest population in the world, aren't you going to do something about that. Besides, now that policy isn't that strict, parents who are the only child can have two children, and most people in the city can have two children if they want. But the truth is, most Chinese people nowadays don't want children.
The lack of freedom of expression - China has the highest number of imprisoned journalists of any country in the world. Government censorship is pervasive and highly effective, and denies Chinese citizens the freedoms of speech and of the press which are guaranteed to them by the Chinese Constitution.
The government blocks Web sites as well as radio and television broadcasts by foreign news organizations...
China also has the largest population in the world, so what are you trying to say there. China is already progressing, and you can see it after the Earthquake hit in Sichuan. You got all the information you needed, if this was 30 years ago, you wouldn't know shit.
limpbizkittian , some information for you and all the chinese agents (part 1)
Human rights - The repression of religious freedom (the imprisonment torture and murder of political dissidents) continues to be a deliberate policy of the Chinese government. Authorities have intensified their violent campaign against religious believers, especially those who practice Falung Gong. The repression also includes Evangelical Christians, Roman Catholics, Uighur Muslims, Tibetan Buddhists...
There are human rights issues everywhere in the world. There are human rights issues in Western Nations, too. And when you say human rights, there are a lot of definitions to it. It would be from the right to clothes and food all the way to speech and religion. If you can stop looking at China from your so called human rights that only works in the Western nations, then maybe you can finally open up your mind.
And also to point out, China needs massive resources to support its economy, it is in the developing stage, so in order to have natural resources, its going to invest in other countries, and since pro-western countries are anti-China (they don't wanna piss off US), the Chinese government won't get sources there, so what do they do? they invest in countries like Sudan, support dictators in Burma simply because they can't do so in other pre-westernized countries.
What I don't understand is, why are people protesting against China when is the Sudanese government killing its people. Shouldn't you guys protest against the Sundanese government instead? If the government in Sudan wants to kill its people, then its going to do so no matter what. In no right mind im saying the Chinese government is right here, but shouldn't we go to the source of the problem.
Invading other countries and going about genocide is no way to grow your country; if producing vast amounts of grossly inferior products and then flooding markets with them is considered "growth"! Your worse than the KKK and the Nazi's.
lol...China did not invade Sudan....the only country who is invaded right now is Iraq by US. lol. Actually, the western nations also exploited countries all around the world during Industrial Revolution in the late 1980s, so do you also call those things that were made during that time inferior products? mmmmm use ur brain please.
The hypocritical and cynical invasion of Tibet, with its declared goal of "saving" Tibet from imperialism, has led to this - the destruction of Tibet through Chinese colonialism.
The poverty it has caused, the increasing transfers of ethnic Chinese into Tibet, and all the other relative Chinese policies in Tibet have a clear and specific goal: genocide!!!
THE SOLUTION : BOYCOTT THE OLYMPICS , BOYCOTT CHINESE PRODUCTS!
Destruction of Tibet? really? I really hope you do visit Tibet in the near future if not now.
lol...genocide...wow you are really blinded by the western media and Dalai Lama. lol. The Tibetans population is more than doubled since 1959, the literacy rate increased from 10% to 90%. Poverty? lol..the living standards of Tibetans have increased dramatically and 70% of its economy has been supported by tourism. So please if you want to help the Tibetans, please do visit.
According to "Japan Times" three sponsor firms (Coca-Cola Japan Co, Lenovo Japan Ltd and Samsung Japan Corp) have decided not to furnish their logo-marked vehicles to the Beijing Olympic torch relay in Japan. They took their decision after the torch relay has become a target of protests all around the world, due to the Chinese crackdown in Tibet.
The strategy of the Chinese government is not limited to economic penetration. The objective of their strategy of sinonization is the political and cultural domination of other populations. This, to be accomplished either through the total assimilation of what is not Chinese, or its elimination.
Chinese government is now revealing its true intentions to the world: the undermining of the international system of standards of health and human rights and impose their own methods of controlling economic and political relationships...
While indirectly bolstering the junta's resistance to foreign assistance, China is also shielding Burma from pressure to open up. It has led the opposition at the U.N. Security Council to proposals that humanitarian aid be authorized for Burma without the regime's consent, under the U.N. doctrine known as "responsibility to protect." Beijing also resists a milder proposal for a U.N. resolution ordering Burma to accept relief and allow rescue efforts.
...and is not allowing planes filled with water, food and supplies to land, though Burma already has suffered a body count of 100,000,000 which is continuing to rise. 1.5 million people are risking death from starvation and diseases such as diarrhea, cholera and typhoid while the Burmese generals ignore the international outcry.
After having failed to adequately warn its population of the arrival of cyclone Nargis (and not permitting the construction of protective storm bunkers, fearing that people might use them as meeting places) the isolationist military dictatorship led by Than Shwe is refusing to grant visas to foreign aid workers waiting to enter Burma in order to organize international aid efforts...
WASHINGTON, February 27 - U.S Congressional-Executive Commission on China
Bob Dietz, Committee to Protect Journalists Asia Program Coordinator, said: "Media conditions in China do not reflect the sort of change we were assured we would see after Beijing was awarded the 2008 Olympic Games."
On January 18, 2008 Controrivoluzionario: i miei anni nei gulag cinesi, the Italian edition of Bitter Winds, A Memoir of my years in China's gulag (1994) by Harry Wu, was issued. The book reports the horrors of Communism through Wu's own personal history. Arrested by Communist authorities in 1960, he remained imprisoned in various laogai until 1979. In 1985 he managed to travel to the United States and since then has been fighting to re-establish human rights in his country.
The Sichuan basin is located in southwest China. It is surrounded by mountains and several major rivers flow through it, including the Yangtze, the longest in Asia. This map shows the epicenters of the earthquakes which occurred between 1963 and 1998. It leaves no doubt about the danger of earthquakes in the area. from unmadeinchina(dot)org
WTF does China and the Olympics have to do with this? Jesus, if you care about Burma so much write your congressman and tell him to start a war there than Iraq. Wait, it doesn't have oil so we don't care.
China has a lot to do with Burma, since the CCP is the strongest supporter of Than Shwe's regime. And Olympics has a lot to do with China, since the CCP planned to cleanse its own image at the world's eyes by means of the Olympic stage.
Try to connect more than two neurons at a time, it's not just a "america is good/america is bad" game.
Point taken. But you haven't answered my question though - what is the United States doing for Burma? China "support" the regime because it was at least better than the anarchy left by the coup that China did NOT start or wanted. Why should China start a war, disturb its own peace and sacrifice so many lives when the U.S. isn't doing anything about it? You can't blame everything on China when you're not doing much yourself.
...Since 1995, at least sixty sets of regulations have been issued aimed at censuring internet content. These regulations are a clear violation of the right of freedom of expression, and the government devotes considerable time and resources in implementing them. The Chinese government's content-based restrictions include the censorship of political opinion and religious literature. The main purpose of this is to protect the ideological and political dominance of the Communist Party.

At present there are 52 Chinese bloggers held prisoner in the notorious prisons of the Nazi-Communist regime of Beijing.Freedom for bloggers!Freedom for chinese people!Boycott olimpics!
Tibet is an independent state under illegal occupation 2
This also means that Tibetans are becoming a minority in many areas of Tibet. Tibet faces the gravest crisis of survival in its 3,000 year history. China, which promotes atheism, aims to undermine the Dalai Lama's influence in Tibet and maintains strict control over monasteries and nunneries. There are also severe restrictions on religious pilgrimages.

The Dalai Lama has rejected worship of Dorje Shugden, saying it is an evil force. However, the Western Shugden Society says it is a 400-year-old Buddhist practice.
In China children are exploited in the production of toxic goods which are then sold all over the world. Factory workers are forced to struggle to get by on less than the bare minimum needed to survive. People in the countryside are hungry and can't afford any medical care. The animals which help the people survive are subjected to what amounts to torture.
The Nazi-communist regime continues to plunder populations by bringing them to their knees in order to control and explit them.
In 1959 Tibet lost its freedom: outnumbered and poorly armed, the Tibetan army was crushed after a few days of an unsuccessful uprising. Thousands were killed. Everything was destroyed. Monks were crucified and buried alive, children forced to kill their own parents The famine forced the people to escape. Chinese propaganda discredited the monks then as it does today.
...The party is convinced it controls everything. But often unexpected events reveal fault lines in the system, the hypocrisy of public discourse, and unbearable injustices. Epidemics and natural catastrophes are more serious threats to the Communist tyranny than democratic pamphlets. The party imprisons dissidents, but in the face of viruses, popular beliefs and earthquakes, it stands naked.
According to Chinese tradition, an earthquake is not a mere act of nature or fate. Every earthquake announces profound changes. The long-held belief is that natural catastrophes foretell the death of the reigning emperor. The quake of 1976 killed over 240,000. It was followed by the death of Mao. The Communist Party wants to show the party as humanist and rational...
Antiretroviral drugs could have saved many but, in addition to their cost, which was out of the question for farmers, the serious side effects discouraged patients. No one had explained to them that once begun, the treatment should last their entire lives, otherwise the result would be a major resistance to the virus. Further, only antiretroviral drugs produced in China were allowed, which obviously were not in conformity to international standards.
The incorrect information and the disconcerting ignorance regarding the transmission of the illness, which is considered an unspeakable taboo, have led to the isolation and alienation of a large number of persons and at the same time to the additional, incontrollable, spread of the disease.
2. Recession. In this ambiguous situation the CCP executives can legitimate their power via the economic achievements. Nevertheless, these are coming to an end because of western market glutted by "Made in China" products. In order to maintain the present level of productive growth internal Chinese consumes should grow. According to several observers this is not compatible with the heavy lack of democratic freedom and with the low purchasing power of the majority of the population.
1. Closed politics and open economy. A first big problem that Chinese governors have to face is to realize to what extent they can put forward the easy "double-track strategy" -- liberalized economy and totalitarian institutions -- entered upon during the "post Mao" years. This difficult compromise has raised macroscopic contradictions which mainly derived from Deng Xiao Ping call in the eighties for people to grow rich in order to turn economy toward "market socialism".
Please watch NAMKHA video to support him. He is right now in prison for singing song on Tibetan Culture, basic freedom or human rights and so on. Tibet is the only one in this world that singers can't sing freely. Al their song or the albums are censored. EVen thought they seem happy when singing but sings in duress or in fear.
Help support Namkha. Bravo Namkha. We Tibetans outside Tibet thank you for your bravory.
Just like their friends in the Chinese dictatorship, the generals of Burma are willing to accept cash and aid from anyone, but only an insignificant number of foreign aid workers and experts.
Both regimes previous and continued neglect of the well-being of their citizens in various sectors has greatly and unnecessarily increased the number of victims!
The repression of religious freedom (imprisonment torture and murder ) continues to be a deliberate policy of Chinese government. Authorities have intensified their violent campaign against religious believers, especially those who practice Falung Gong. The repression also includes Evangelical Christians, Roman Catholics, Uighur Muslims, Tibetan Buddhists
The scarce aid the junta has permitted into the country (cash and goods, to be exclusively managed by the military authorities and associates) was "donated" in exchange for votes in favor of the new constitution.
Not surprisingly, the military junta of Burma has found a way to profit from the tragic and dramatic circumstances of cyclone Nargis in order to pass their "referendum" for a new constitution while blocking international aid...
The response to the cyclone is just the most recent example of the junta's failure to meet its people's basic needs. The regime has dismantled systems of agriculture, education and health care. This once wealthy nation now has the lowest per capita GDP in Southeast Asia."
"As they cope with this tragedy, the men and women of Burma remain in the thoughts and prayers of many Americans. It's troubling that many of the Burmese people learned of this impending disaster only when foreign outlets -- such as Radio Free Asia and Voice of America -- sounded the alarm. Although they were aware of the threat, Burma's state-run media failed to issue a timely warning to citizens in the storm's path.
"We were protesting to mark the 49th anniversary when the troops attacked us with long knives. We threw stones and the soldiers retreated and then returned with guns and soon there was smoke, rattle of gunfire and terrible shrieks..." He saw several Tibetans die from gunshot and knife wounds. "The troops just hurled them like carcasses into police vans and drove off."
i wonder what wagner would have thought about the plight of tibet and darfur. not much probably. if you want a musical example to highlight the trials of the dispossed, how about shostakovich, philip glass or even freaking andrew lloyd weber...not the poster childe of nazism, fascism and outright bigotry. screw tibet anyway...bunch of theocratic airheads...you don't support theocracy anywhere else, why tibet. morons.
The result: an en masse spread of the HIV virus and of hepatitis B and C which caused a number of fatalities difficult to calculate due to the lack of adequate screening, and above all the lack of desire to know them. Official reports speak of 840 thousand HIV positive individuals in 2004, with 80 thousand suffering from AIDS, but unofficial sources estimate the number of HIV positives to be almost 2 million.
DEMOCIDE MADE IN CHINA: Chinese gov has no mercy for its own people, Chinese work camps and prisons operate in collaboration with hospitals to harvest organs from living human beings. Former Chinese President Jiang Zemin ordered to begin a campaign of genocide against the practitioners of Falun Gong. Jiang said: "Destroy their reputations, ruin their finances and physically annihilate them." and also "if you beat them to death, file it under suicide."
John Edwards, as I recall, is a lot older than Obama. But, you are right. John looks very young.
Unless something big happens, don't think Obama will pick Hillary to be VP. As for the $20 million, Obama was thinking to pay back to Hillary using his means. That was two weeks ago, however. With Hillary fighting on, Obama now is not going to give Hillary any $ back.
UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, British Prime Minister Gordon Brown, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, President of Estonia Toomas Hendrik, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, Czech President Vaclav Klaus, Belgian Vice Premier Didier Reynders and French President Nicholas Sarkozy (who has reserved his final decision) have gradually added themselves to the list, the majority justifying their refusals with unspecified "scheduling problems."
Boycotting the Opening Ceremony is Not Enough part 1
International public opinion has by now put government leaders under pressure. They have been urged by public opinion to condemn Chinese oppression in Tibet. As a result, various leaders are now declining their invitations to attend the opening ceremony of the Beijing Olympics...
The Olympics have placed China in the international spotlight. The recent protests in Tibet and their violent repression are unmasking China's true face, the aggressive and totalitarian face of a country that had hoped to keep its systematic use of violence - both within its borders and in its foreign - policy hidden, while pretending to "open up" to democracy and to the rest of the world.
The rescue of hundreds of children, most aged between 9 and 16, who worked as slave laborers in the city of Dongguan in the Guandong province, has served as a brutal reminder to the international community of the Chinese plague of child labor. Child slave labor still exists in China, despite the government vow to effectuate "a broad crackdown on labor abuses," affecting at least 10 million children in China.
Residents in Rangoon told AsiaNews: "members of the Union Solidarity and Development Association (USDA, sponsored by the junta) continue to circulate around Rangoon and surrounding villages, obliging the citizens to vote - in an irregular manner - in favor of the constitution, in exchange for food aid. Even those who want to buy materials to rebuild their homes, or tents are being required to give in to the extortion of the USDA." This happened in North and South Thingangyun and Dagon.
Not surprisingly, the military junta of Burma has found a way to profit from the tragic and dramatic circumstances of cyclone Nargis in order to pass their "referendum" for a new constitution while blocking international aid. The scarce aid the junta has permitted into the country (cash and goods, to be exclusively managed by the military authorities and associates) was "donated" in exchange for votes in favor of the new constitution.
...Chinese law requires the sterilization of the mentally retarded and those afflicted with genetic illnesses. Prenatal testing of fetuses is mandatory, and malformed fetuses must be aborted. The mentally retarded and those suffering from venereal disease or hepatitis are forbidden from marrying. The Chinese government, as it has for the past three decades, affirms that these targets and quotas will be achieved through "education" and "persuasion."
The one-child policy continues to be carried out against popular will. Despite official denials, coercion continues to be, as it has been from the late 1970's, an integral part of the program. Mandatory IUD insertions, sterilizations, abortions, and infanticide, in which lethal chemicals are injected into a baby's brain, continue.
Victims of Tibetan Genocide will Testify in Spain 2
...The Tibetan monk declared: "After more than fifty years' genocide against my people, in which more than a million Tibetans have died as a result of the military occupation, a court of justice is at last going to listen to our suffering.Since March 10th a new wave of repression has been unleashed on the Tibetan people. The protests reveal the desperation felt by an entire people after more than fifty years' human rights violations!
Victims of Tibetan Genocide will Testify in Spain 1
After more than fifty years' impunity regarding the genocide of the Tibetan people, victims will finally testify about their sufferings on 19th May 2008 at 9:30 in Court nº 2 of Spain's Audiencia Nacional. Foremost among the voices to be heard is that of Palden Gyatso,a monk that was arrested in 1959and spent 33 years in prison. He witnessed the deaths of many Tibetan prisoners as a result of torture and forced labour in extermination camp

The chinese communist party (CCP) has been looting, torturing, killing and doing all sorts of other nasty stuff, like forced sterilisation (without anaesthetic), in Tibet for about 60 years.
Time for CCP to leave Tibet and pay its debts.

To Live and Die in China

Statement against oppression and injustice in Myanmar
We urge the international community, particularly China, Russia and India who have influence in Myanmar, to use it on the Burmese government to secure basic democratic freedoms and to ensure the protection of human rights.

THE EIGHT STAGES OF GENOCIDE
CLASSIFICATION: All cultures have categories to distinguish people into "us and them"
SYMBOLIZATION: We give names or other symbols to the classifications.

Chinese immigrants? lol, the word Chinese refers to the 56 ethnic groups that you are talking about, it doesn't just refer to Han people, plus there are many of them who are currently living in the Sichuan province.

so this one-child policy huh. well, im the only child and im fine, i don't see what's so bad about it. But you see, when your country has the largest population in the world, aren't you going to do something about that. Besides, now that policy isn't that strict, parents who are the only child can have two children, and most people in the city can have two children if they want. But the truth is, most Chinese people nowadays don't want children.

Humans Rights,
There are human rights issues everywhere in the world.

The hypocritical and cynical invasion of Tibet, with its declared goal of "saving" Tibet from imperialism, has led to this - the destruction of Tibet through Chinese colonialism.
The poverty it has caused, the increasing transfers of ethnic Chinese into Tibet, and all the other relative Chinese policies in Tibet have a clear and specific goal: genocide!!!

Dam building, over many years, has displaced 23 million people in China. The Three Gorges Resettlement began in 1997 as an upward migration.
Now the region's population density is almost twice the national average. In many villages, too many farmers are perched
on steep slopes, sharing too little land.
The upward migration also damaged the environment. Deforestation contributed
