I always get a bit annoyed when people make the connection of Jeremiah 10 with Christmas trees. We don't idolize trees and don't pray to them. This passage talks about cutting a tree to make an idol. Not about something that is just for decorational purposes as the Christmas tree.

However I do agree that Christmas is a pagan holiday. As well as the altar and steps up to the altar (in clear violation of the law) in a lot of churches are. Always wonder whom they plan to sacrifice there.
