@Emosekunde He doesn't do the makeup and the hair to be a rock star, he does it because it expresses who he views himself is. He is an amazing vocalist with talent that a lot of musicians don't have--this song has emotion that so much music these days lack. It's the grit in his voice and the raw intensity in this song that makes it beautiful--it's emotional, even if it's not the most "perfect" performance.
