People can afford the gas, I guess. I ran a hovercraft out in FL for years. and frequently went into areas that airboats would never touch, and the sawgrass did not cut the skirt to shreds as some would think.

It looks easier to manoeuvre than most others of its type. presumably it is clever hull/skirt/cushion design.

The craft is flying up the bank of a Pacific Northwest river and it does require a run to climb the hill on thrust and inertia.

Here in Florida, we always have tons of airboats. I've seen hundreds. I even know of an oval airboat racecourse out in the swamps.
However, I've never seen a hovercraft. Ideas why?
