Kinda of tired of all the backing tracks bands use these days....yeah it makes it sound good, but what would that song sound like with just the 4 of them playing their respected instruments. Ya know... just drums, bass, guitar, keys.... with no huge prerecorded 12 piece orchestra and choir caring a bulk of the melody it would sound much different. I'm not saying Coldplay are bad at all in fact I enjoy them. Just wish they would take it back a step. Led Zeppelin can do so can you.

Use your ears, it's all live, except some strings towards the other end that could be just using a loop sequencer on the keyboard! They've clearly responded to the criticism of some fans when they use a lot of backing tracks in the song.

@waterandbodies Sorry, I was being a bit arrogant :( it's just a bit annoying that you would complain on this performance of Paradise, when the backing tracks are toned down somewhat. Still, enlighten me. I hear no 12-piece orchestra; the strings could easily be played as chords on a keyboard... and a choir? If there are vocal backing tracks at all (to my ears, it could just be Will, maybe using a chorus effect), they are certainly not carrying the bulk of the melody! thanks :)

@waterandbodies The tracks add great atmosphere, they're able to bring what they imagined and created in the studio to a live setting. It doesn't always work financially and logistically to hire 2 synth players and large string section. The band is definitely covering all the essentials if you watch and listen. If you watch Chris, He's doing rhythmic and melodic things on piano that many lead vocalists can't pull off. If he was tracking that stuff there would be reason to be tired of the tracks.
