Kingdom Come is a great band and greatly overlooked. First criticized as being Led Zeppelin clones, they were panned by the same critics that hailed them. This song is perhaps the most Zeppelinesque thing they ever did. In my opinion this is not their best song however it is the biggest hit they had. It's a shame that people listen to music based upon what others say is "good". KC is an unbelievable band behind Lenny Wolf. Look up every video. The proof is in the music and not with the critics.

The band later got a slot on the Monsters of Rock tour and then just faded.

But Kingdom Come just screams at your face Led Zep - in terms of rhythm, sound style, vocals, everything it's just like Led Zeppelin without the eastern influence. Seen them on the Van Halen Monsters of Rock in Denver, Colorado. Mile HIgh. That was a great show. Will never forget that show. Kingdom Come, Dokken Scorpions, Metallica and the headliners Van Halen in that order.

Actually, they never stole Zep songs, they were influence heavily by them, obviously. As a HUGE Zep fan myself, I take no offense to someone borrowing the sound. Don't forget, Zep was SUED in a court of law for stealing songs note-for-note AND lyrics of black blues artists. Zep made a fortune on the songs and the black blues artists never got a cent! I love Zep, but what they did was wrong. Kingdom Come may have "borrowed" the Zep sound, but at least they never stole songs.

Seen them on the Van Halen Monsters of Rock in Denver, Colorado. Mile HIgh. That was a great show. Will never forget that show. Kingdom Come, Dokken Scorpions, Metallica and the headliners Van Halen in that order.

hey paul66511 i saw that tour in dc at rfk stadium. got there at 12 and no beer till 4. kingdom come opened up it was van halen headlining and the scorps and metallice.awesome show. sadly the only time i got to see metallica and the scorpions.the sound mnan needed a beating it was so distorted and loud it sucked.i love loudbut not when you can't tell metal from rap you know.

I saw them on the Monsters of Rock tour in 88(with Dokken, Metallica, Scorpions, Van Halen). Kingdom Come tore it up. James Kottak was incredible on drums.

metallica's do-boy Bob rock produced their first album (which this song is from) and said "I knew it was gonna sound like zeppelin but fuck it I knew it would sell a million if it did and it did" I saw them at monsters of rock philly 88 and they were good, solid performance by the whole band

I think this livevideo and their first album named "Kingdom Come" is a proof that thought with strong references to LZ.. so had the band everything... Great musicians and melodies. Did actually hear KC before LZ, and was the main reason why i did start listen to. Who i prefer the most? KC:-)

Actually, they never stole Zep songs, they were influence heavily by them, obviously. As a HUGE Zep fan myself, I take no offense to someone borrowing the sound. Don't forget, Zep was SUED in a court of law for stealing songs note-for-note AND lyrics of black blues artists. Zep made a fortune on the songs and the black blues artists never got a cent! I love Zep, but what they did was wrong. Kingdom Come may have "borrowed" the Zep sound, but at least they never stole songs.

Right you are ladywrestlingfan! I've been a guitarist for 27 years and am HUGELY influenced by Jimmy Page's playing. I don't get the indignation of Zeppelin fans over KC borrowing their sound. What most Zeppelin fans don't realize is that as much as KC may have "ripped off" Zeppelin, Zeppelin did the SAME thing to black blues artists. Zeppelin, trumps KC in that Zeppelin actually STOLE entire songs, & made a killing with OTHER PEOPLE'S MUSIC! Zeppelin fans need to lighten up.

I could care less about all the Zeppelin copyband cuts Kingdom Come was and still is having to endure for this song and probably their whole catalog! You gotta admit this is a GOOD kick-ass song!
