@procommenter - Gay marriage isn't going to effect straight marriage or how many kids are born in the world. The number of gay people will not magically grow due to gay marriage. Men and women of all different sexualities and family make ups are already having and raising kids (single mums, dads, adopted parents, same sex parents, etc). Non-religious folk can marry, infertile couples marry, people that never want kids marry, mentally challenged people can marry. Gay marriage won't hurt you.
