This is happening because America is being run by the oil and gas industry. For this to be allowed to continue, there is a major problem....DEMOCRACY IS CLOSED IN AMERICA.
Lake Arlington is fracked and we are f _cked. Can anyone even comprehend why this sort of heavy industrial activity is being allowed in such close proximity to a major drinking water source for a half million people?
Look at all that frack sand and ??? whatever else the Texas wind carries off of this site to the neighbors and into our lake...our drinking source. Last night Arlington City Council approved six more wells in this area...we are in a drought and single use water needs to be sold at a premium!!!
Over a three month period they used one and a half million barrels of raw lake water (times 42 gl per barrel) which is 63 million gallons.
At $4.75 per 1,000 gallons, they paid $300,000 and only utilized 3 of their 12 meters.
That is .005 cents per gallon. ....of single use water.
