  • OR you could save additional resources AND supply foliage to local wildlife by NEVER cutting it and NEVER watering it.

  • WHY THE HELL ARE YOU PROMOTING THE USE OF GMO LAWNS.ARE YOU TRYING TO KILL THE REST OF THE BEES.???IF THEYRE NOT GONE ALREADY?GMO FOODS CAUSED CANCER IN RATS EVERY TIME TESTED.WHY ARE YOU HELPING THEM KILL US??1 in 4 of us have cancer NOW 1 IN 4.RESEARCH THE STATS FOR YOURSELF.1 IN 4

  • Ever thought of using a seed ball method? Would that work?

  • what brand push mower is good.

  • Oh my god, what brand is that cool rake? I want one!!

  • I love the moss in my yard!!

  • Great information and production value. Thanks for the video Garden Girl!

  • Nice video. Interesting info. I have a question. Do you have to remove any moss that's growing in the garden before you put in the eco lawn? And if you have put in the eco lawn does the moss come back?

  • Thanks Patti, really interesting. I will have to see if they sell this product or similar in England. My 'lawn' is barren! LOL :)

  • is it deer and rabbit resistant? i live in the texas hill country and these guys eat everything!

  • Deer and rabbit don't tend to eat it at all. Never had that problem or had any reports from any Eco-Lawners in U.S. and Canada about deer or rabbits munching on their Eco-Lawn!

  • Live in California, Texas or Florida? Now's the best time for you to seed Eco-Lawn. If you're anyplace that's beginning to get cooler and wintery you'll want to seed your Eco-Lawn in the Spring and in early Fall.

  • May I suggest something? I noticed while you were raking everything up, you were raking it into a garbage can. What I do is use a pooper scooper which helps me be able to pick everything up all at once instead of fighting w/a garbage can. They also make rakes that have leaf grabbers attached which might make things easier for you. I just thought I would share. Thank you for your videos.

  • I've tried it all and I like using a garbage can. Thanks though

  • AHHH I LOVE YOU!! you have push mower... mow-er.. did i spell it right.. eh but everyone should invest in one..

  • I can't wait to try this! My dogs have a field day playing and digging! More dirt than grass! This might turn out to be very nice! Will keep you posted with the progress! Thanks so much for sharing. MB:)

  • Thank you for your friend request and i am happy to help spread the word through several network sources :) Namaste' _/\_

  • I have been wanting to do this for some time, but I didn't realize it was so easy! However, I am still curious about how my current grass (and crabgrass) will co-operate with this idea. Will the old grass & weeds be choked out by the Eco-Lawn, or will I have a problem on my hands?

  • if this is the stuff that they have at the park I and my children have allergic skin reactions... so watch that.

  • I wonder what's been planted in your park. I've been working closely with the fine fescues Eco-Lawn's made with and I've never heard of people, dogs or cats havng any allergic reaction to it..

  • i really wish i knew what was in my park myself. so i knew what we were allergic too. i would like to avoid my and my childrens reaction although it is New Mexico so who knows. it is a very very green grass. thick blades..all i can really tell ya

  • Ah, thick blades for sure means it's not Eco-Lawn! Eco-Lawn has very fine blades. Could well be a chemical application that causes reaction. I suggest a visit to your local parks & recreation department. Someone in that office will know what kind of grass it is and whether it's treated with chemicals and how often they are applied. Go for it! And check out doc "A Chemical Reaction" by Paul Tukey......

  • It's also better looking than a normal grass lawn

  • At about 6:30 I see about three Patti Morenos walking about the yard...

Can I have one for my yard here in Kansas City? Lol

    -Jonathan

  • We are a certified Wildlife Habitat. The entire lawn is herbs, wildflowers, sun and shade lover plants. Plus two endangered species plants. We don't have any lawn to mow either :)

  • I like what I see here, but...... It's almost December here in Wisconsin and the freeze is upon us. My question is, can this be done in the spring time?

  • You can seed Eco-Lawn in Wisconsin at 3 different times. In the Spring when temps are between 50 - 65 degrees F that's usually late April & all of May, Late Summer when you've got same Spring temp range - so late August through September and as dormant seeding in late fal/early winter when ground is workable but cool. A dormant seedings freezes over the winter then germinates in the Spring. Hope this helps!

  • This is

    Awesome.. Thanks

  • Great video Patti!

  • Great idea!

Look forward to seeing your lawn when it fills out.

  • Can you grow this "Eco Grass" in an very harsh arid enviroment in Arizona in the winter or summer?

  • Yes, you Can grow Eco-Lawn in Arizona, Southern California or even Florida. In these harsh, arid places the best time to seed Eco-Lawn is November & December. A mature Eco-Lawn will require 75% less water than the typical shallow rooted sod lawn. That's because it's deep roots penetrate down 9"-14" to source water. Hope that answers your question!

  • ~*~

  • i love that type of grass.

  • I hate my lawn....keeps growing and I can't eat it! lol......But it would be too much trouble to replace it so I'm just gonna dig it up and grow food instead. but as far as lawn goes less food and water sounds good.

  • Another great video Patti! Thanks so much for all the great information. :)

  • hula hoops in the background lol see the kid on the stairs in the back with the hoops

  • But I love mowing my lawn!

  • You can mow an Eco-Lawn - no problem. If you like a traditional lawn look you'll mow it bout once a month instead of every week!
