I don't like the Riddler because the Joker here at least kept his original theme and attitude. This Riddler is completely different attitude wise as well as costume. He's really only the same as the other Riddler in name.

this origin reminds me of the origin in DCAU Riddler, Batman Forever and Arkham Asylum/City but better

the whole point of this show was to take a different more superhero/anime/high tech approach to the show compared to the other more crime based approach to the show that's why is different but still Batman. they have to make it fresh and approachable.

Although, as it comes for the riddler, I´m a bit sceptical for his redesign. But yes, I do like his backstory in this episode.

Nope, this show came out around the same time Batman Begins came out, which had Scarecrow in it. Due to copyright issues, Scarecrow couldn't appear in this show at all because he was already in Batman Begins. The creators were planning on putting him in the show, you can find his character design on Google.
