Musician friends of mine used to hang floor carpets for sound proofing. You can always find inexpensive miscuts at a local flooring center, and to cover that up, find some wooden folding doors (like the ones in Nexius' room for the closet). Your doing a great job guys!

The raised prisms help the sound decipate. They are shaped like that so the sound waves get 'cut' up properly, thus reducing sound. Anything soft will help reduce sound as the ability for the sound to bouce is reduced and the sound is absorbed.

the acoustic tiles would have probably been more effective the other way around as it is the foam side that absorbs some sound waves and stops it echoing also if you put them facing in your room the sound quality on your videos would most likely improve

You should be putting the padding facing into the room you want to soundproof. The whole point of the padding and the shape of it is to absorb and disperse sound waves. Putting it facing outwards of the room would only mean it will be harder to hear what goes into the room, rather than what goes out.

Egg crate on the back side of the sound foam will give you bit more noise denon. Than >> hang << a persian rug that's the size of the door way or what ever looks good. You could hang a blanket with a design on it over the door way too, cheaper.
