  • If you're watching this right now, you'd better get ready to watch an epic 10 parts!!! This is seriously one of, if not the best episode of Iron Chef!

  • Kaga is looking sharp in that beautiful coat......one of the best I've seen him wear so far.

  • Chen was always my favorite iron chef.He is the most humble ot the 4/6,and he has a great sense of humor.

  • Whenever I see one of these self-righteous dickheads preach about animal right when there are plenty of humans living in miserable conditions I want to kick a puppy.

  • The music for this show is epic, no wonder, Hans Zimmer composed it.

  • chen has the most exp in kitchen stadium. i think thats y he choose him

  • @goddanner In this instance, I'd have chosed Chen too. I think Corby might have known Sakai has been doing French food longer, and Morimoto is so unpredictable. Chen seemed the safest bet, outside of Kobe anyway.

  • I find that interesting quite a few contestants choose iron chef different from their speciality, and Chen is often picked. I wonder Corby picked Chen because he thought it would be a challenge or an easier target compared to others. But we all know that Chen is no pushover.

  • I love this Iron Chef version so much, but what seems to be flawed on both versions are variety of judges nations.

  • I agree

  • I think he chose Chen because he thought Chen would have had less experience with Foie Gras than the other two, but I agree he's no pushover.

  • @DarkRulerHaDes666 Where do we draw the line? Do we only care about the fluffy cute ones or are we outrages by yogurt making and cutting the lawn too?

  • @DarkRulerHaDes666 although if memory serves me neither of them knows what ingredient they are going to have beforehand. (i dont think they lie considering how some of them scramble) they might have chosen "duck" which wouldnt have given either any particular advantage. i think a serious chef often (but not always) goes for something challenging/interessting to prove him/herself rather than looking for the easy way out :)

  • i have seen other challengers give kaga gifts i wonder would they give him gifts if they knew he was an actor and that the producers pick the theme ingredient. he has a sweet job he gets to eat the best food in the world and get paid for it and people think that kaga is a real person man thats sweet

  • 2:20 - Hey, that's from the Escaflowne soundtrack!

  • The hell... why did you reading that make me miss my high school? I'm watching Iron Chef but you make me remember cheap corn dogs and stale Pocky at my old anime club.

  • Foie gras is the most overrated, disgusting cheapest way for fine dining ever! It should be banned! wonder how many restaurants would lose their michelin star if it was?

  • 2:16 - Yum...icy leathery goodness...

  • Read the online article "Healthy Reasons to forgo foie gras" or "Foie Gras: A Tasty way to get Alzheimer's" ~

"New research suggests that a compound found in fatty goose and duck liver may be linked to a rare disease called amyloidosis, opening the door to a potential link between the delicacy and a host of other amyloid-related diseases ranging from Alzheimers disease to type 2 diabetes."

  • With all the gourmet delights available to man these days, from across the world, it is beyond my comprehension why any one would wish to force feed a duck t o satisfy a discerning palate. A very, very greedy, self indulgent and sadistic person indeed.

  • I look at foie gras the same as I do veal. I don't want to see how it's made, I just know that it's freaking delicious, so I don't really care.

  • ignorance is bliss... for you, maybe.

  • uhh, most veal these days are just male calves from dairy farms, as the male calves are not all that usefull to them, so very little of what is called veal these days is veal in the traditional sense.

  • Greedy, sadistic, self-indulgent... uh... sounds like a lot of conservative millionaires if you ask me.

  • This is a masterful battle: A must-watch for Iron Chef fans. An all-out war!

  • Corby: Chen-san, if I may!

    (Camera pans to Chen)

    Chen: (Gulp)

  • I think I can guess what was going through his mind:

Chen: Please not me, please not me, please not me!

    Corby: Chen-san, if I may!

    Chen: Oh, Kami-sama...

  • do i hear corby speaking japanese?!?! amazing!

  • i would be so happy to be a judge for this battle! This stuff is basically banned now a days.

  • It's only banned in a few places in the U.S. And it's not banned in France, obviously, reason being because those incredibly stupid animal rights' activists are the laughing stock of the culinary world, lol.

  • damn right!!!

  • Wolfgang Puck has banned foie gras ~ how can you claim that it is a joke to have compassion in the culinary world? The whole state of California has as well as many other countries.

  • from what battle can we see that white female chef

  • Osterich battle against Nakamura

  • yippeee thanks arco89 :)

  • kaga's a little too enamoured with that ice sculpture.

  • Haha, yeah. He's quite a character.

  • First! AHA. Love the videos, archo!
