I agree with you how smooth...lack of choppy, slow movement...this film is considering it was early technology. But, I wouldn't give Edison the credit. Edison had very little to do with motion pictures or how they were presented. His staff and other inventors were the true early pioneers of cinema. Research of history tells us, many times he bought other inventors' machines and/or methods and put his name on it so that he could sell & make money. The movie projector is a good example

I'm pretty amazed at the frame rate of Thomas Edison's kinetoscope, I was expecting it to be choppy and/or slow but it isn't.
