Why has Nicholas Currie no wrinkles? Look at that skin! The man is in his ruddy fifties! Perhaps he has an aging portrait in the attic and peppers his moustache with talcum powder to keep us off the scent.

The exquisitely complex introductory sentences reminded me of Proust, then there were such smooth transitions to science-fiction - realistic technological explanation with a hint of absurd as in Lem's "Futurological Congress" . Are you planning to record further parts of the book in the future? That'd be great!
