  • My husband and I both love this movie and the music is perfect.

  • My all time favorite movie for it message that life is worth living and is mysterious and beautiful and fear should not stop you for living fully!

  • for my Daniel. My true love forever and ever.....

  • my favorite romantic comedy....and scene (above)....esp. the "come and go with me dance...haha. my other favorite scene is "American Beauty"...."the most beautiful thing"....(i ever filmed)..... thanx 4 posting.

  • Sorry if I get "preachy", beautiful songs bring that out of me.

  • @JaneneP You will break their hearts, in a good way. For healing of the soul comes through shedding of tears and remembering those who love us. It is good from time to time to cry, from which we can grow into a healthier person. We must learn to forgive ourselves and others before we can love ourselves and others and crying is a reaction to our pain.

  • My heart aches

  • Oh how I miss my Mother. Have no fear and let not your heart be troubled, I will one day be reunited with her and all my loved ones that have gone before me and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever and ever, Amen.

  • I want to sing and I want to cry.

  • Sounds like a hymn and yet it sounds like a lullaby.

  • This is one of my favourite movies,it touches me deeply. One of those rare movies you can watch over and over again.

  • @nebulabob I agree.

  • I watch "Joe" whenever I have an difficult day at work or in life. It continues to give me hope that there are better days ahead. Marrooned Without Me makes me cry every time.

  • @sk5749 feel the same way.

  • One of my very favorite pieces of movie music for one of my all-time favorite movies. Most now consider 'Joe" a cult movie. From the very first time I saw it at the theater, I felt something more than just another comedy. It continues to touch me deeply. Kudos to Spielberg for having the foresight to produce this sleeper. Thank you for sharing this beautiful and timeless melody

  • Perhaps its sharing what Joe feels at this moment....combined with such sweet yet melancholy and sublime melody...that I always have a few tears weep out for all the joy I have known..........He has lost all fear and remembers all the joy.

There is so much more to this movie than humor........you need only to "be awake" !!

  • TELL ME WHY ...... why is this song NOT famous ??? Because it is most famous in my heart !!! From the creative genius of GEORGES DELERUE, the same great composer who made the theme "Interlude" (sung by Timi Yuro). What a great movie too, reminding us of how precious and brief the human Life is.

BEST SCENE --- the one being pictured in this video. Thanks to you for posting.

  • @DrJennyGyn

Jenny, I have wondered the same thing. "Marooned Without You" is truly an amazing work and could have, and should have, been a huge hit, as was "My Heart Will Go On," the theme from "Titanic." I have no idea why this song didn't catch the ear of the public.

  • Every time I hear this song, I cry. It touches something deep inside me. I think I'm going to include it in a show I do, and maybe even sing it for "America's Got Talent"

auditions next season. People have got to hear this song!

  • @JaneneP Good luck wit that.

  • @compxci Thank you so much for your words of support. Even if I don't make it to America's Got Talent, I can use the song in a show I do for care centers and retirement homes, and I know they'll love it. When I sing it with that beautiful orchestration and chorus, oh my gosh! Incredibly awesome!

  • @JaneneP Yes, it has a innocent cleansing effect too it, I feel young again, like when my mommy used to rock-by-me to sleep while in her arms, singing songs bathed in love. Much as some pets we revere that love us unconditionally, bathed in unconditional love...gosh I feel like crying now, my eyes are swollen with tears, wow I do have a heart after all, Mahalo.

  • This is my favorite movie of all times. It has so much meaning behind it, the songs are perfect. Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan did a wonderful job and should of got oscars for it.

  • The sun goes down, my dreams begin their refrain

    I CALL to

    Whatever HOLDS you

    My beloved.

    I wait

    And I wait..

Perhaps the most heartwarming, retro treatment ever written in modern times.

    Twelve stars.

  • @Wikipunani I agree, heavenly flower. Mahalo

  • This is very beautiful... It sounds like a bedtime story at the end...

  • beautiful music...tnx...i love you gg always..il do my best not to have tantrums when im missing u...i want to live in the dark whenver i say goodbye..where are you now...

  • I do not understand why this movie is such a flop. Its a beautiful movie about hopelessness which turn into positive infinite possibilities, if you just give yourself a chance and not give up . . . .

  • Me encanta esta pelicula, lo mismo su bella musica.

  • yeah, it is an impressive film. Too bad so many people missed out. (and still miss out)

  • GREAT song from an under appreciated movie.

  • Someday I would l love to get away from 'the things of man' and find my own little piece of paradise...

  • When asked what is my favorite movie. I ask if they know the first film that Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks did together? I then ask if they who directed and that it was his only flop? They never get it right. This is my favorite movie because it is so much about life and the possibilities. Timothy Michael Ricke

  • Thank you so much for posting. A sweet and sweeping song off love and loss. Dramatic and beautiful.
