Thanks for the video. I understand how apertures changes the depth of field and the entrance of light. But what I dont have very clear is, when the aperture is very small, this means that I am blocking a lot of rays that would've entered if the aperture were wide open, so....when I decrease the aperture, I would be making the image smaller, I mean, less information is gonna reach the sensor, but this is not the real case, Why it reaches the same information while changing the aperture :S ?
@kamihakai you're not exactly changing how much information passes through the aperture, but the concentration of the information going through. It stands to reason that if you took light flow as water flow, a smaller aperture would cause a much stronger waterflow, while a wider aperture has a weaker flow. The same amount of water is passing through, but the concentration is different. Hope this helps.
hey i have a question: when i adjust the iris or the F numbers on my camera if i have my F stop at for example 22, that absorbs allot of light so do i have to compensate that with the shutter speed? if i want alot of depth of field?
Very usfull. I have looked at and read maybe a half dozen tutorials today. They are all usefull and some more intense. But Im a your basic point and shoot amateur that has mainly used auto settings. But now Im ready to move up to dslr and and manual camera photography. The main things I have to learn are shutter speed f stop aperature and iso and I think I have a basic grasp, thanks.
This is by far the best tutorial on aperture. I've taken classes, read books and it has never been this clear. Thanks! I'm subscribing to your channel.

I really don't know what this feature give to us. We only can SEE size of this aperture?

If you don't know about aperture, you don't deserve a 40D.
